34: Escape
(So, yeah this is gonna happen. Enjoy/comment! Until later...)
"Ash?"
"Sh, sh, sh, it's all okay, it's going to be okay." He promised, his voice at a whisper.
Tenny locked eyes with him, breathing heavily. "It was a--"
"Djinn." They both said, in unison.
"Yeah, I know." He said.
Tenny's eyes widened. She shouted, Ash--!"
At her eyes, he immediately understood. He grabbed the long steel pipe laying beside them, spinning around how he was perched on the balls of his feet. His left hand went to his right shoulder as he pushed the pipe up into the Djinn's stomach. The Djinn howled deeply, lurching forward. Ash fell back, laying in front of Tenny, working one of his legs between he and the Djinn. He used all the strength he had in him, kicking the Djinn back. It hit the opposite wall, the pipe sticking out of it's stomach at a low angle, since Ash had upper-cut it.
"Ten, where is--?"
"We don't have lamb's blood!" She exclaimed.
"Call Dean!" He said, loudly, pushing himself up off the ground as the Djinn launched itself at him again, the pipe gone from its stomach. "Our phones are with the bike!"
Tenny nodded, weakly scrambling up and rushing out of the room. She heard Ash shout behind her, but she kept running down the hall, trying to remember her way out.
Ash kicked the Djinn back again, making it howl again and double over. It quickly recomposed itself, coming back at him again. Ash was trying to regroup--for some reason, breathing wasn't too easy at that moment--and it caught him when he wasn't ready, bashing his closed fist over Ash's face. It wasn't a punch, not quite, and it moved the Djinn's whole body as he swung his arm. It made Ash move, stumbling to the side. He let out a heavy, humorless laugh, blood dripping from his mouth.
Tenny managed to find her way outside just as the Impala and the SUV pulled up. Dean and Sam rushed out of the Impala, Sam clutching at a red jar.
"Lamb?" Tenny gasped out, eagerly, rushed.
Sam nodded. "You have silver?" He asked, handing it over.
Tenny unscrewed the jar as she shook her head, setting it on the seat of the bike.
Dean ran around to the trunk, flinging through his keys for the one he needed. He unlocked the trunk, throwing open the hidden compartment and haphazardly pulling out a few of the silver knives. He ran back up so he was beside Tenny, shoving the blades into the jar. He pulled them back out, not caring about getting blood everywhere. He tossed one to Sam, who somehow easily caught it. He gave one to Taylor, who had ran forward.
"Dean--!"
"Ten, you are not going in there." Taylor said, softly, quickly pushing the words out of her mouth as Sam and Dean ran into the warehouse. Taylor quickly ran after them, leaving Tenny with her eyes narrowed and blood boiling.
"Ten, what happened?" Blue asked, rushing forward with Meep and Maddie at their heels.
"I--I--We split up. Next thing I knew, I was grabbed and there with this light and suddenly I was back at the house."
"In your dream?" Cas asked, awkwardly moving forward.
Tenny nodded, not saying anything.
"Can I ask what your dream was?*
Tears quickly came to her eyes. "M-my mom. My mom was there. All of you were there, but so was my mom and I--"
Tenny sniffled, blinking to keep herself from crying. She managed to get a deep breathe in through her tight throat.
"How did you get out?" Meep asked, putting their hand on her arm, for comfort and to keep her steady.
"I killed myself. I woke up to Ash telling me it's all going to be okay." She moved away, looking back up at the warehouse at the sound of glass breaking.
Maddie gasped behind her.
Ash was being pushed through the window, his torso hanging off. The only grip he had to keep him from falling was his hand around the Djinn's neck. The monster was laying into him, punching him directly below the chin, seemingly hard enough to snap his neck. Ash was fighting back with the one arm he had, somehow pulling himself up when he could and punching him as hard as he could. When the Djinn reached down to him with one hand, the other grappling Ash's hand on his neck, Ash bit down on its wrist, hard. He felt the taste of bile in his mouth, but he knew it was the Djinn's blood-- or it was actually bile and he was throwing up. Could be either.
Tenny immediately started running towards the warehouse, Castiel immediately behind her. They didn't see Dean and Sam pull the Djinn off, pulling it into his knife, and Sam grab Ash's legs before he could fall.
(MAGIC AF TRANSITION)
Someone groaned. "Where the fuck am I?"
"...Blue?"
Silence. "Okay, what the fuck." Blue sat up, a strand of their hair splayed over their forehead.
"Argh, what...Okay, there must be a logical explanation for this."
"OH MY CHUCK!" A girl with long dark brown hair screeched, suddenly bouncing up and tackling the brunette boy who had just sat up. "ASH!"
"I have limbs! And, you know, a pair of lungs--oh...my god." Ash sat up, pushing Tenny up with him. His eyes widened at the five other people around them, regaining their composure. "Oh my god--shit, Chuck, sorry."
"I feel like 'oh my god' is a perfectly fine thing to say right now." Sammi said, carefully picking herself up off the ground.
"Where are we?" A pale girl with medium length brown hair asked.
"Yeah, where are we?" A girl with long sandy-brown hair asked, holding a hand to the back of her head. Her eyes widened when she saw everyone else around her. "Holy shit."
Ash stood, looking around before helping Tenny up, too. He looked around the room before running towards the open kitchen and stairs. His eyes widened impossibly wide as he slowly turned back to everyone else.
"Well?" Meep snapped, confused, her hair wet and hanging limp.
"We're in the Facer house."
"How?" Blue exclaimed.
"Are you sure?" Alex asked, her voice light.
"I made the layout--I am more than sure." He said, sure of himself.
"How did we even get here? Neither of us wrote--oh shit." Tenny groaned.
"What? Oh. Oh." His voice deepened as he realized what Tenny meant.
Blue growled. "What did you two do?"
"We may have planned a fourth wall break." Ash said, nonchalantly, giving a shy smile.
"It was his idea!" Tenny exclaimed, pointing at her online best friend.
"Hey!"
"It's true!"
Ash huffed. "Okay, what do we do? We can't exactly write ourselves out of this."
"Anyone have their phone or something on them?" Kitty asked. "Seriously, I want to go back, I was playing with my Macie pup. I mean, I love all of you, but my Macie."
A chorus of no's came from the group, Tenny mumbling about her laptop.
"Okay."
Everyone looked up when they heard engines outside, one a loud revving of a motorcycle and one recognizably the Impala. All of their eyes widened. Meep pulled Blue up and herded them into one of the side bedrooms (one that Ash knew for a fact was Ghostfacer Meep's.)
"I'm going to Tash's room!" Tenny exclaimed, quickly bounding up the stairs.
"Shit--Ten--!" He groaned, running up after her, taking two steps at a time.
Sammi, Alex, and Kitty all realized they had nowhere to go--nowhere that they knew, anyways. They all froze as they heard the door open.
(So, shocked? Confused? Both? Yup, that all happened. Next chapter is the results of this fourth wall break. Until later...)
