Ash
(Ash the demon's backstory. So yeah... Enjoy/comment! Until later...)
I was born... I don't know. I don't remember anything about my mortal, human life. I don't even remember my name.
I embody my vessel. I've been with him since he was eight. He was depressed by then. His home life wasn't good. I saved his life by possessing him. I gave him the friend he needed. I let him take the reigns most of the time, but I took over when he was in danger, or about to make a stupid decision. Since I don't remember anything, I don't remember a lot of my own mannerisms and personality, and I've been with Ash so long, I've come accustomed to being around his, so, basically, our personalities are the same.
But I completely took over when we met Tenny, in fifth grade. He wanted to be her friend. I wanted more. There was this warm, friendly aura that surrounded her. It was...welcoming. I wanted to be close to her.
When I took complete control, I was able to talk to her. I was able to express myself.
I found my personality growing. I found my feelings growing. And I have a girl to thank for that.We got so close that I told her I was a demon.
Can you imagine how that worked out? She freaked out and started ignoring me at school. I left her alone. I knew that comprehending the fact that I was a creature of Hell must be a lot. I respected her wishes.
One day, I had to leave him, my vessel, when we were in our junior year. Tenny was in trouble, but I didn't want her to see me. When I came back to him, he was in the bathroom, wrists slit, sitting in a puddle of his own blood.
I was too late. I couldn't do anything to save him.
But I couldn't just get a different body, when we had been together for that long. It would feel weird. Unnatural. So, once he was buried--Tenny went to the funeral, might I add--I possessed his body again, and stayed away from Tenny. From anybody that I had ever met.
I hunted. Demons, monsters. Anything that put anybody in harm. Because I was not like the others. I wanted to do good. I wanted to make a difference.
Years later, I saw her again. Tenny. She had used her information about the world of monsters for good. She created a group--one that had already been around, but had broken up. She created a different version, where they were the real deal. She was the leader, but a nice one. She had four other girls in the group with her--Taylor, Maddie, Meep, and Blue.
And I wanted to be part of it, since that was what I was already doing. Upside, I would be able to see and talk to Ten again. Downside, she freaks out and they all kill me.
But I didn't care if they did kill me, or at least hurt me, because it was Tenny.
I had stood in front of the house for a few minutes, contemplating whether or not I should do this, before knocking.
A teenage girl with short black and red hair had answered. She looked at me skeptically. "We don't want what you're selling."
"I'm not selling anything." I said. "I want to talk to Tenny. She knows me."
She looked at me skeptically, her eyes narrowed, lips pursed. "How do you know each other?"
"We were...friends, in highschool." She nodded. "If you're lying, you'll pay for it." I nodded.
Then she stepped aside, and led me into the house.
Tenny was pacing in the middle of a living room, three other girls watching her with wary eyes.
"I don't get it--why would--?" One of the girls, who was wearing a beanie, was growling."Guys." The girl who was leading me said.
They all looked at me, besides Tenny, who was still pacing and inserted into her own mind.
"Ten, someone's here for you." The girl said, loudly.
Tenny looked at us, and her eyes widened when she saw me.
I gave her a small, nervous smile."What the hell are you doing here?" She exclaimed. "Why--How would you think I would be happy to see you?"
Do you think you can imagine how it went from there? She ignored me for a week, afterwards. Taylor felt bad for me, I had later learned.
Tenny confronted me, after that week. She demanded why I wanted to be a part of Ghostfacers. I told her it was because it sounded cool, that they were the freakshow of hunters. She must have known I was lying. She ignored me for another few days.
When she came back, I told her the truth. I wanted to protect her. I wanted to be near her.
She let me in.And then my mortal memories started to slowly come back. No one knows besides me.
Yet again, I have a girl to thank.
