Chapter 16

As the ship landed, Jack, David, Ana, and Lena waited as the ship made it's landing. David walked up to him and sighed.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" David asked. Charles pulled the chip from his pocket. "I did, but I'm scared to know what is on it." Charles admitted.

"Well, no time like the present." Ana said. Jack nodded as they group walked to the command room. Charles placed the chip into the computer. A screen appeared that showed a purple skull.

"You think you can get past my firewalls? Good luck pendejos." A line of text appeared. Jack growled lightly as Charles went to work on cracking the walls. Lena and Angela looked at eachother until they both left for the rec room. Jack and Ana stayed behind to help until David ushered them away.

"Need any help?" He asked. Charles was silent as he continued to type away. "No? Well, I do have some technical expertise. I remember helping Gabriel and Sombra back in the day. When you and Jennie were bundles of joy still and-" Charles stared at him.

"Or you got it. I'll just head on out." David said walking out the door. Ana and Jack stood out as they crossed their arms.

"That, is some terrible parenting if I ever saw some." Ana said. "Well, considering the fact I've been under Talon's thrawl for most of their lives, I understand the cold shoulder." David said. "Do remember, it's not just your son. He is also the vessel for the Ghost Rider." Jack reminded him. David nodded. He looked at the door, he wanted to help ease whatever burden Charles forced down on his shoulders.

Charles continued to type until he managed to crack some of the firewalls, he found a video from the same day. With a raised eyebrow, he played the video. The video was taken from a first person view.

"Go, go, go, they are vulnerable! Death to Overwatch!" A voice yelled. The soldier Charles was spectating aim their rifle down and began to fire. It felt as if he was there, the memories flowed vividly back to him. The gunfire, the gunsmoke invading his nostrils, the blood. The blood on his hands. Jennie's cold features as she laid in his arms, dying slowly.

The sound of a sniper rifle could be heard, Charles looked as a man on a cliff fired at the Talon troops. Rockets being fired, cries of pain, the scent of death laying down up on the battlefield.

"Widowmaker to command, there are two civilians in play. what should be do?" The voice of the assassin asked.

"They are not of our concern, our concern is those damned agents. Kill them now!" The commander replied. Charles thought he heard the grunts of Widowmaker. Perhaps the assassin did have a heart, she just did a great job of hiding it.

"Back off ya goons!" The cheery voice of Lena could be heard. "Merde, leave her to me." Widowmaker said before going quiet. The video showed the Unit coming in to save the agents. As the Unit, combined with the might of the Agents, they group managed to push them back.

"Fire, Snow, retreat for now!" Widowmaker said. The unit on the cliff fired a shot that hit the camera off of the person's head as it fell to the floor. It flickered as it showed Widowmaker running along with the two agents.

"So, she was there." Charles mumbled. The door opened to show David, Ana, and Jack. Charles turned with a raised eyebrow.

"Come Charles, you need to give this a break. We will find her." David said. "No, not until she's back." Charles retorted. David sighed before walking over and ripping his son from the computer.

"This is now our business, you take a break." David growled. He hated using this tone, but it was the only way to get through to the man. David, along with the help of Jack, dragged a struggling Charles back to his room.

"You relax, for 5 weeks. THAT'S AN ORDER!" Jack yelled shutting the door. Charles slammed his fist on the door in rage.

"Charlie." Angela said. Charles looked over and saw Angela standing in front of him with a worried look.

"We're worried about you, please." Angela begged. Charles looked at her with pained eyes before exhaling.

"I guess you're right." He admitted. Charles flopped on the bed as he stared into the ceiling. "She's out there. Our mom." Charles said. Angela's face took over his sight as the medic looked at him.

"I love you, but you need rest. Even Fareeha is worried. You know how she gets." Angela said. Charles sighed in defeat, there was no way he'd win in an argument over his health. With the medic no less.

"Fine, for you. I'll let them take over." Charles complied. Angela cheered and held him close. "Now on that 5 week vacation 76 ordered you on, and I'll be with you. As a, health advisor." The sly angel medic said as she wiggled her eyebrows. Charles flushed red at the gesture.

~Talon HQ~
A purple electronic woman perks her head up as an alarm triggered. "What's this? Trying to get information are we?" She said tapping a few keys into a console.

"Sombra, let's move. This contract is important." Reaper growled. "Alright, alright, keep your mask on Gabe." Sombra replied. Reaper crossed his arms as he waited for the IT person to finish what she was doing. Widowmaker stepped forward as she stared at Sombra typing away.

"Are you sure about this?" The assassin asked. "Sombra has helped before, I'm sure she can hold her own. Isn't that right Sombra?" Reaper asked. After finishing typing in a few commands, Sombra turned to face the duo.

"Si." She replied pulling out her SMG. "Let's go." Widowmaker said grabbing her rifle as the trio headed into a dropship. The ship lifted into the air as it brought the Talon group to Russia.

"So, who's the target boss?" Sombra asked. "The CEO of Volskya Industries." Reaper said handing her a dossier of a 'Katya Volskya'. Sombra stared at the picture until a plan formed in her head. Perhaps this person could be of some use to her. Sombra looked over the dossier before returning it to Reaper.

"Me and Widow will go forward, you will head into there security office and sabatoge the turrets and any doors that get in our way." Reaper said to Sombra.

"Got it Reaper." Sombra said. The door opened as they arrived at Sombra's location. The hacker hopped off the ship as she landed on the roof. Peering into the window, she noticed 2 guards standing watch.

"This will be easy." Sombra thought. She crashed into the window and punched one guard in the face, knocking him out. The other backed off in surprise until Sombra emptied 10 bullets into his chest. Sombra jumped into a swivel chair as she slid over the computer.

"I thought this place was supposed to be one of the most advanced security system on the planet." She said in the comms.

"We don't have all day, hurry up." Widowmaker said. "Enough, do you have satellite?" Reaper asked.

"Of course." Sombra replied. Reaper and Widowmaker positioned themselves near a doorways. "Are you certain the target is on site?" Widow asked. "Oh she's there alright." Sombra replied.

"Okay, you're in." Sombra replied. The door opens as Widowmaker and Reaper pushed forward. Widowmaker streaks forward as Reaper chokes a guard, effectively silencing the man. The two exited the building as Reaper jumps forward. Widowmaker takes a sniping position on top of a crane.

"Oh I can't wait until the inspection is over." One guard moans. The two exit as Sombra appears and presses a few buttons on a control panel. Reaper shadow mists forward until he stops at a door.

"The door." The door creaks open but then shuts as Reaper steps forward. "Sombra!" Reaper growls as the door reopens. Sombra chuckles lightly at her antics. Reaper shadow steps past the security guards and turrets. The turrets begin to follow him until the deactivate.

"Turrets are down." Sombra informs him. "I am in position. Sombra, time to target?" The sniper asks. "Incoming, right now." Sombra replies.

An elevator descends carrying a armed guard and the CEO, Katya Volskya. "Chairman Volskya, the new guidance systems. They will be the difference in destroying the hated omnics." "Tell me, are we still on schedule? The Omnium will not wait until we are ready to attack again." Katya said. A mech powered up as the particle cannon powered up.

"Our new mechs in a decade, this will ensure the future of Russia." She said stepping forward. Widowmaker peered down her scope as the CEO walked forward.

"Just a little bit further." Widowmaker said smirking lightly. Katya stepped forward as she raised a hand to touch the cannon until the alarms rang out.

"Ms. Volskya, we must move." A guard said grabbing her shoulder. "Qui?" Widowmaker gasped. As her head lurched forward, Widowmaker took the shot, scraping her ear.

"Widowmaker, hold the perimeter. We'll take over." Reaper said. He turned and ran forward as he pulled out two shotguns, firing at the guards. One guard noticed Reaper and ran before smacking into the arm of the mech. Reaper turned and fired a shotgun blast at another guard, killing him. Reaper turned to fire at Katya before a particle cannon blocked his way, blocking the shot. The arm lurched forward and smacked Reaper, sending him flying.

Reaper tried to stand but faltered. "I'm down, Sombra, it's up to you now." Reaper said. "I'm all over it." The hacker said. Sombra jogged over to a lift and activated it. Purple energy surged within the lift as it shot upward. Sombra jumped towards the catwalk and dangled in the air. She lifted herself up and smirked at Volskya and her escort.

Sombra lifted herself up and dashed forward, tossing a small device in front of two guards. The two cowered in fear of it being a grenade, but laughed it off as it didn't explode. Giving Sombra the chance to pull out her SMG and shooting both of them.

As Katya and her convoy entered the office, metal shutters closed sealing them in. Unknown to the group, Sombra managed to enter unnoticed. Like a cheetah, Sombra uncloaked and murdered Katya's escort before training her weapon at Ms. Volskya's face. The two stared down each other until Sombra laughed and removed the weapon.

"Calm down, I'm not going to kill you." She assured the CEO. Katya stared at her would-be attacker with a certain calm, but fear still showed in her eye.

"Sombra, status! Sombra!" Reaper yelled in the comms before she removed her earpiece. "What do you want?" The CEO asked. "Look, I want to show you something I found." Sombra said pulling out a holo picture of Volskya and an Omnic.

"What would the people of Russia think if their leader was getting her weapons from the enemy? Hmm?" Sombra asked expanding until more showed.

"What do you want?" Katya asked. "I'm here to make a friend. How about it? You sit there and wait for me to come calling." Sombra said grabbing a picture of Volskya's daughter and looking at it intently.

"Or I spread this to all holo vids in the world." She continued as she handed the picture to Katya. Ms. Volskya stared at this picture before the sounds of cutting and the door lifting before stopping sounded throughout the office.

"Clocks ticking." Sombra said. The CEO sighed in defeat before looking at Sombra. "What now, 'friend'?" She asked. "I'll be in touch." Sombra said before walking forward.

"Boop." She said tapping her nose before going invisible as the door opened and guards poured in. Sombra reappeared onto the catwalk before placing the commlink in her ear.

"Mission failed, target got away." Sombra reported. "Get back to the ship." Reaper growled as he tossed down two empty shotguns. The mech sizzled in the corner. Widowmaker sighed before jumping off the crane. Sombra smiled lightly before going invisible and taking off.

'Time to find out who got curious.' Sombra thought as she raced back to the waiting ship.

~Charles and Angela~

"5 week vacation? Really 76?" Charles asked as he slung a bag over his shoulder and had another case next to him. The two were full of clothes and other necessities for him and Angela.

"Yes, now you go. We'll deal with this. You've done enough." David chimed in patting his son on the shoulder.

"Now getting going, we'll be alright." Ana said pushing the two towards the waiting dropship. Charles sighed as he followed Angela who was jumping in excitement.

"Where to now?" Charles asked. Angela placed a finger on her chin before he eyes widen. "How about relaxing somewhere quiet. For the both of us." Angela suggested. "Where you'd like my dear." He replied.

"How about my apartment in Switzerland? I can show you why it is known for it's chocolate." Angela said with a grin.

"Switzerland it is." Charles said as the two boarded the plane.

~Talon HQ~

Sombra entered her room and began to type on the console. "Let's see who's been snooping around." She said as a video appeared to show Charles and Angela looking at the head gear.

"Got ya." Sombra said with a smirk.
