~30 years later~

A 62 year old Charles at on his couch as he watched the television. The door opened as pattering feet entered the house. He turned his head to see a small blonde haired girl with sea green eyes, wearing a white shirt with a black vest and a white skirt. She had on belted black shoes while a black and white schoolbag hung on her shoulders. She beamed a giant smile as she ran to Charles and hopped on the couch next to him as she hugged him.

"Hi Daddy!" She said. Charles laughed lightly as he pulled the girl into his arms and kissed her head.

"How has my little baby been?" He asked. "Not so well." A voice said. The two turned to see a 67 year old Angela standing in the doorway wearing a black blouse, white skirt and a large grey trench coat.

"Why don't you tell him why you've been sent to the principal's office for calling someone a Nōtarin.(Dumbass.)" She said placing the coat on the hangar and walking over to them as she sat next to Charles.

"I really hate sending Danielle to Genji's for babysitting." She said pinching the bridge of her nose. Charles smiled as he turned to the blonde haired girl who had a face of embarrassment.

"Tsk, tsk, really Dani? You could of done better." He said laughing lightly. "CHARLIE! You're supposed to punish her, not egg her on!" Angela said slapping his shoulder.

"What? Not my fault she picked up some words here and there from Hanzo and Genji." He replied with a smile. Angela rolled her eyes as she leaned on his shoulder. Danielle removed her schoolbag and shoes as she flopped on both of their laps.

"I'm bored, can we do something today?" She asked. "That is up to your mother little one. She's the queen of the house." He replied.

"But you're the King." Danielle replied. "That may be so, but I hold all the cards liebling. But, I could care less about your punishment. Truth be told, I'm actually proud that you learned a new word. Makes smack talking even more fun on the school yard." Angela said as she stood up and grabbed her keys.

"Where to mi'lady?" Charles asked as he put on shoes and opened the door. "Why don't we go visit the base?" She offered. Danielle jumped and grinned.

"Aw yeah!" She cheered. Charles smiled as he lifted the girl onto his shoulders as the three left the room and walked the streets of Zurich as the Overwatch base showed in the distance. A column of smoke appeared. Danielle turned and giggled as the Rider nodded. Passerbys nodded and waved to the Rider and Charles as they made it closer to the base. Charles placed Danielle on the ground as she stood in front of the Rider.

"Hello." She said. "Hey." The Rider replied. She giggled and grasped his bone hand as the fire disappeared.

"I'm going with Mr. Rider if that's okay?" She asked. "Go ahead, but keep her safe." He said. "I understand." He replied as the two left for the courtyard. As they neared, they noticed Fareeha, Jennie, and McCree relaxing.

"Aunt Jennie, Aunt Fareeha!" She yelled as she dashed forward. Jennie was the first to turn as the small blonde girl jumped into her arms.

"Hey there little one." Jennie giggled. She smiled and turned to see Fareeha and McCree staring at the Rider as he crossed his arms and stared off in the distance. McCree was the first one to walk over and stand next to the Rider.

"Howdy Partner." He said. "Hi." The Rider replied. Danielle slipped from Jennie's grasp and scratched her knee. Hearing her pained yelp, The Rider snapped to attention and stood in front of the girl, ready to defend her.

"Easy there, she just fell. I can heal it." Jennie said raising her arms. "R-right. Apologies." The Rider said. Jennie kneeled as she aimed the staff at her, healing her injury.

"Thanks Auntie." Danielle said with a smile. She stood up and walked back over to the Rider, he grabbed her hand gingerly as he knelt down. She stood and hopped on his shoulders and giggled with glee. The fires around him disappeared as the Rider carried Jennie around the courtyard to see other agents.

"Wow, she's entirely comfortable with it." Fareeha said. "I guess, maybe the demon does have a soft spot after all." McCree said.

"It's adorable actually. I'm impressed the Rider has softened up to us humans." Jennie said. McCree and Fareeha nodded as they watched other agents come up to the Rider and greet him and Danielle. As the Rider made it inside, a loud cockney accent sounded through the base.

"WHERE IS SHE!?" The voice demanded. Lena blinked through the halls before noticing the Rider and Danielle.

"Auntie Lena!!" Danielle shouted as the Rider lifted her up and placed her on the ground as the small girl ran into the time traveler's arms.

"Oh Danielle! My baby girl, how are ya love?" She asked looking her over. "I'm doing fine, I just saw Aunt Fareeha, Aunt Jennie, and Uncle McCree." She replied laughing.

"Aww, did you miss little ole' me?" Lena asked. Danielle giggled before Lena placed a small candy in her hand.

"Shh, our little secret. Don't let Grandpa Gabe find out." She whispered. Danielle nodded furiously before a shadow appeared behind Lena.

"Oxton." Gabriel's ragged voice was heard. Lena froze as black mist formed around the traveler.

"What did I say? I'm the one who gives the treats." He said as a hand appeared from the mist, a big sack of candy in hand that placed it in Danielle's hand. The mist disappeared as an aged Gabriel smiled at the little girl.

"Don't mind this Brit, never knows when to get the children's favor." Gabriel said kneeling in front of Danielle and pushed Lena away.

"Hi Grandpa." Danielle said. "Hey little one. You doin' alright? A little birdy told me you were sent to the principal's today. Is that true?" Gabriel asked. Danielle's face erupted in embarrassment.

"M-m-maybe." She replied. Gabriel laughed lightly and ruffled her hair. "That's my girl." He said.

"Her mishbehavin' in school is alright? Are you mad?" Lena asked. Gabriel turned to her with a dead expression.

"Did anyone ask your opinion?" He asked. Lena rolled her eyes and stood up as the Rider walked over and patted her shoulder. He reached into his pocked as he pulled a large sack of sweets from his coat pocket and placed it in Danielle's hands. Her eyes widened at the large bag of candy and giggled.

"And that, is why I am her favorite." The Rider said as he placed a hand on her shoulder and guided her to the rec room. Gabriel and Lena glared at the demon before sighing.

"That, is something we can't compete with Gabe." Lena said in defeat. "I know." Gabriel replied. The Rider and Danielle entered the rec room to see Lucio and Hana playing a video game together.

"Brother Luci, Sister Hana!" Danielle said placing the treats on the counter and running to the two. Lucio paused the game as Hana grumbled. He turned and a smile erupted on his face as he jumped over the couch and picked Danielle up and twirled her about.

"How is my favorite musician?" He asked kissing her head. "I've been doing well hehe." She replied.

"Is that my favorite little girl?" Hana asked turning and grinning wildly. She stood up and walked over to her and kissed her cheek before pulling out a pink marker and drawing little pink triangles on her cheeks. She then grabbed her headphones and placed them on her head.

"Looks like an exact copy, just without the blonde hair though." She said with a smile. Danielle giggled with glee as the three laughed and talked. The Rider glanced out the window and noticed Angela and Charles standing near a few graves.

"You got it from here." He said. Lucio and Hana nodded as the Rider disappeared and reappeared next to the couple. He looked at the gravestones. They read: Reinhardt Wilhelm, Lindholm Torbjorn, Ana Amari, and John 'Jack' Morrison.

"I miss them, especially Jack." Charles said. The Rider patted his shoulder and sighed. "This, is a first. But I miss them too." The Rider said. Charles laughed lightly and elbowed him.

"It's great to see you have some empathy. It's good to see that." He said nodding. The Rider walked over and knelt in front of Ana's grave.

"I miss you, Ana." He whispered, a blue flame that resembled a tear fell out of his eye hole and slipped down his cheekbone. Charles noticed this and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I miss her too ya know." Charles said. The Rider stood up and wiped the flame away and sighed.

"Even though I was hard on her, I did care for her. All of them." The Rider said. "We all did too Damocles, but life catches up with us soon or later." Angela said. The skeleton turned to Angela and nodded.

"I'll take my leave, Danielle needs me." He said disappearing. "He really cares for our daughter. It's cute." Angela said.

"Haha, yeah, I suppose so." Charles said. "I'm surprised he's been this kind." A voice said. Charles turned to see a man in a porkpie hat, cream trenchcoat, brown pants, black shoes, and a white shirt. He looked up and smiled at Charles.

"Lucifer, what is you want?" Charles asked. "Nothing, well one thing maybe. But, some good news first." He said.

"What is that then?" Angela asked. "Jackson, has been officially killed and his soul forever in the Fields of Torment. He'll be waiting out until the end of the world in total torment." Lucifer replied.

"But the other, is I ask. Do you still wish to have the Rider?" He asked. A pair of feet was heard as Lucifer turned to see the Rider and Danielle on his shoulders. Lucifer walked over and raised his hand to shake Danielle's before the Rider snapped his jaw.

"No." He growled defensively. "I believe that is my answer." Charles said. "Well, because you're my favorite, I'll give your soul back. You can still keep the power of the Rider." Lucifer said. The Rider grabbed Danielle from his shoulders and held her on his arm.

"I adore this child. But, when it is time for me to go. I will as nature intends for it." He said. "What do you mean you'll leave?" Danielle asked. The Rider sighed as he knelt to the ground and held her shoulders.

"Don't be sad little one, I'm still gonna be here. But, when Dad has to sleep for a long time, I'll need to leave." The Rider said. Danielle felt tears trickle down her eyes before wrapping her arms around the Rider's neck.

"I-I don't want you to go. I-I love you Uncle Damo." She said crying into his shoulder. If The Rider could frown, he would. But, little blue flames trickled down his eyeless sockets.

"I will never leave you, my little Dani." He said hugging her tightly. Charles sniffled lightly at the sentiment.

"Alright, alright, you can keep your Rider. I'll crack ya a deal, you keep your soul and I'll untether the Rider from you. He'll be his own person. But first, some skin and hair to look human. Along with blood and muscles." He said snapping his fingers. The Rider's fire extinguished as muscle and skin formed around the bones. He grew brown hair as his eye sockets filled with white until two blue eyes settled in the middle. The Rider gasped lightly as he felt his skin, he smiled, frowned and opened his mouth widely.

"Now then, you're no longer tethered to a human, but you can still control your powers like when you were with Charlie over here." Lucifer said. The Rider turned and looked at Danielle as the girl's mouth widened in surprise.

"T-Thank you." He said. "Don't mention it, now then. I must be going, souls to torture, deals to make. Tata!" He said before disappearing. Charles walked over to the Rider and smiled.

"Never figured you for a brunette." He said. "Shut up." The Rider replied with a smile. Charles laughed as Angela smiled at the two. The Rider turned and picked Danielle up and placed her on his shoulders.

"Where to now?" He asked. "Let's go visit Aunt Mei, I'm sure she's making cookies with Aunt Satya!" The girl said with a giggle. Charles watched the two scamper off as he turned to Angela.

"Have I ever told you, you were beautiful?" He asked. "All the time." Angela replied with a smile. Charles turned to the graves as the last two read: Julie Williams, David Williams.

"Your parents would be proud of the man you've become." Angela said kissing his cheek. Charles smiled as they left for the kitchen where Danielle, The Rider, Mei, and Satya. Danielle sat on a chair made from Satya's hardlight and watched Mei create the dough and place pieces on a sheet. Satya noticed them and grinned.

"Greetings." She said. "Hello Ms. Vaswani." Charles said. "Your daughter is adorable, but I was shocked when I saw him." She said pointing at the Rider.

"Trust me, so was I." He replied. Genji walked in before dashing next to the Rider and snatching Danielle from the chair and holding her on his arm.

"Kon'nichiwa watashi no chīsana senshi! (Hello my Little Warrior!)" He spoke. "Hehehe, Hi Uncle Genji." She replied. Angela walked over to Genji and glared.

"If I get another phone call from the school about my daughter being sent to the principal's office again, you won't be getting any healing. Understand!?" She growled. Genji nodded furiously before she turned and stood next to her daughter. He turned to see the Rider glare at him with his shining blue eyes.

"Who are you?" He asked. "Her Guardian." The Rider replied pointing at Danielle. Genji laughed lightly and nodded.

"I understand, but that would be Hanzo that taught her that word Angela." He said. Right on cue, Hanzo walked in to see everyone but Charles glaring at him.

"Uh..." "Never, teach my child a word like that again, thought I praise you for teaching her a new word from a different language." Angela said.

"I understand." Hanzo replied. He turned and left as Genji followed. Mei turned to the oven and pulled out the sheet of cookies. She used a spatula to place the hot cookies on a plate to cool off.

"You're so adorable my Xiǎo liánhuā(Little Lotus)." Mei said kissing her head. "Hehehe, I love you too Aunt Mei." Danielle replied hugging her. Charles and Angela laughed lightly as the agents huddled around the little girl.

"Say, where's Aaron?" Charles asked. "Should be in his office. Bloody wanker is always workin'. Never enough time for his wife and daughter." Lena said appearing next to him.

"How is Madison by the way?" Angela asked. "Doin' well, love is dying to meet Danielle. Which by the way, she's here." She replied moving out of the way for a small 10 year old girl with brown hair, brown eyes, a blue shirt and pink blouse with a bomber's jacket similar to Lena's and white shoes similar to hers. Madison walked over and smiled at the group as Danielle gasped and hopped off the chair and ran over to Madison.

"Ello, I'm Madison." Maddy replied. "I'm Danielle, it's great to finally meet you Madison." Dani said. The two girls giggled as the rest of the agents smiled at them. Charles left for the office and opened the door to see an aged Aaron ruffling through papers. He had a Bluetooth in his ear as he blabbered away.

"Yes Mr. Petras, I understand. Have a good day, give my love to the family." He said before pressing the button and sighing.

"I don't know how Jack did it." He said. "Well, orders are orders." Charles replied, causing the Commander to turn in his chair and smiled at him.

"How's retirement so far?" Aaron asked. "Oh, it's been good. Had our family trip in Tahiti. Danielle and the Rider had so much fun. The first time I've ever seen him that happy." Charles said.

"Yeah, yeah, Madison was great too. Had ours in the Bahamas. She was so happy that we had to book it for next year." Aaron said.

"Hehe, yeah." Charles said. He walked over and patted Aaron's shoulder. "I'm proud of you. Better leadership than I ever was." Charles said.

"Don't say that, you were a fantastic leader. They adored you." Aaron said. "Yeah, but I'll stick to retirement. I've run my course with OverWatch. I've lived my life, now to relax for the rest of my life." Charles said.

"Hm, yeah. Might have to hand in my resignation soon. Been couped up in this office for so long, I miss the sunshine. The laughter of my daughter and my wife." He said. "And my friends." Aaron's eyes looked to the floor as he exhaled sharply. Charles walked over and patted his shoulder.

"Lawson would be proud of how you've handle things." Charles said. "You're right about that." A female voice said. The two turned to see Chloe, Dimitri, and Atticus standing in the doorway. Chloe walked over and wrapped her arms around him.

"Glad to see you're still alive and well." She said. Aaron smiled lightly as Dimitri and Atticus walked over and hugged him.

"How have you been Aaron?" Atticus asked. "I've been doing fine. Madison and Lena are fine as well." He replied.

"Where is Little Bear? I've been meaning to give her something." Dimitri asked. "If it's anything other than candy, then no." Aaron said.

"Why?" "Why? A colt 1911 airsoft gun is not something you give to a little girl dude." Aaron retorted.

"I'm serious, this is candy." Dimitri said holding up a bag of candy to prove his point. "Fine, she should be in the kitchen with Lena and Angela." He said. Dimitri nodded and left as Chloe giggled.

"Alright, I'll leave you three be. Madison might be driving Danielle mad." Charles said. "No she won't." Aaron retorted.

"Dude, Lena is her mother okay." Charles said before leaving. "Cheeky one isn't he. So, you finally retiring like the rest of us?" She asked placing her hands in her coat pockets.

"I guess so, UN's got some new, young, fresh face to lead once I hit the can. Better I try my best to get by before the pink slip." Aaron said. Chloe laughter lightly and looked into his eyes.

"Aaron, just let it go. You're good financially, just retire already. Most of the agents here are planning on retiring. C'mon, let's have the new generation take over. We old timers need to relax and take in the sun as much as we can." Chloe said. Aaron laughed lightly and nodded. He tapped his table as a call went through to the director.

"What is it Aaron?" Petras asked. "I'm throwin' in the towel. I'm done." He replied. "Well you can just call and drop a bombshell like that." Petras said.

"You just did, goodbye." Aaron said. "Don't you hang-" Petras started before Aaron ended the call.

"Been waitin' to do that for so long." Aaron said with a smile. He walked to the door as Chloe walked out and did one last look before leaving and closing the door. This chapter of his life was over, a new chapter was beginning. Aaron made it to the kitchen to see everyone enjoying cookies, The Rider and Danielle laughing and talking. Charles, Lena, Jennie, and Fareeha laughing. Mei smiling at the group as Satya leaned on the counter and watched the whole scene unfold. Aaron walked in as Madison jumped from Dimitri's arms and rushed to her father.

"Daddy!" She said and leaped into his. Aaron's laugh echoed through the kitchen as Lena smiled at him.

"So, you ready to go home now love?" She asked kissing him. "Yeah, better to leave this junk to the next generation. We old timers need to relax." He said with a smile. Lena leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled.

"Then, let's get going. I know that trip to the Bahamas ain't going to RSVP itself." She said picking up Madison and walking away. Aaron said his goodbyes as he turned and left. Finally leaving everything behind, the Badge, Talon, OverWatch. He was now finally free to do the things he wanted to do with his family.

"Well, I think it's best we scatter. Got some scones to devour." Chloe said, a devious smile on her face as she turned and left with Atticus behind her.

"I've got a date with a beautiful woman." Dimitri said. "Tell Zarya I said hi will ya?" Charles asked with a smile. Dimitri nodded as he turned and left.

"I guess that's our cue, let's go Danielle." Angela said. "Aw, okay. Bye everyone!" She said waving to the agents. The Rider walked over and placed Danielle on his shoulder's as she held her large back of sweets. He walked out the door as air flowed from outside and rustled their hair. The Rider breathed in and sighed.

"Ready?" He asked. "Hehe, yeah. I'm ready. Mom, Dad, you ready?" She called out. The Rider turned to see Angela and Charles walking out, hand in hand. They walked the streets of Zurich, passing by stalls and happy people. Charles didn't have to feel ashamed or scared of this power, he was happy. As the group entered their house, Danielle immediately ran to the living room to examine her sweets as the Rider sat on the couch and watch Danielle eat the candy in session.

"Slow down little one, you'll get a tooth and tummy ache. I'm sure you don't want to go to the dentist." The Rider said.

"Sorry Uncle Damo, guess I got carried away. Let's watch some cartoons!" She said. Damocles grabbed the remote and turned on the cartoon channel. She sat on the couch next to him and snuggled close as he wrapped an arm around her and watched the annoying human cartoons, but stayed as he enjoyed the smiles Danielle made. He promised himself and Charles that he'd protect her no matter what. Charles and Angela stood in the doorway and watched as the Rider and Danielle enjoyed their freedom.

"Only 20 more minutes, then it's off to bed little one. You have school tomorrow." Angela said. "Alright Mom. Good night, love you guys!" Danielle said with a grin. Charles laughed lightly and offered his arm to Angela.

"Still the gentleman as ever." She said. "Only for you." Charles replied as they walked up the stairs to their room and entered. The bed neatly made as they approached and changed into pajamas. Angela slipped in as Charles sat on the bed and tossed his legs over the bed and rested next to his wife. He slipped his hand into hers and kissed her. Angela turned and clicked off the lamp next to her as Charles did the same. They finally settled and soon, the embrace of sleep snatched them, to love and protect them from the horrors of the worlds in the world of dreamland. A dream of love, safety, adventure, and family. Charles opened his eyes to reveal a bright, lush, and green scenery that took his breath away. Shapes and figures appeared as his family appeared. Ana, Jack, Gabriel, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Lena, Winston, Hana, Lucio, Genji, Hanzo, Mei, Zenyatta, Zarya, Fareeha, Satya, Aaron, Chloe, Frank, Dimitri, Lawson, Madison, and Angela. The angel walked over to Charles and smiled at him as she rest next to him comfortably and rested her head on his shoulder. The group sat down before a small shape ran past the group and jumped into his lap.

"Thank you Daddy, for this wonderful family and life you've given me." She said. "You, are my world. I love you beyond anything Dani." Charles said. The seat next to him rustled as a man with brown hair, blue eyes, a leather jacket, khakis pants, black boots, and chain around his waist.

"Careful, or a Ghost will always Watch you." He said. Charles smiled as he brought the Rider into his embrace as tears fell down his face.

"Thank you, all of you. Some of you'll I will miss and some I will love forever. Thank you for this wonderful life you've given me." He said.

"We love you Charlie, and we'll always love you no matter what." Angela said. "Yeah Daddy, we love you no matter what." Danielle said. Charles smiled as the sun bathed his face. He truly was at peace.
