Ginger leapt on the rustling sound. She plunged her muzzle into the long grass. Rearing back, she sat up proudly at the plump vole in her jaws.

She padded back, her head held high and eyes shining bright. Purring, she padded back towards the camp.

"Great catch, Ginger."

A voice behind her startled Ginger.

She whipped around, "Hey!"

The car she met yesterday, Korbyn.

He meowed softly, "The prey really is running well I see.."

Ginger's pelt was burning, "Y-yeah.."

He tilted his head and smirked, "Ginger, right?"

Ginger gulped and nodded slowly, and straightened up, "Why are you here?"

He smiled, "Just visiting you."

The response irked Ginger even more, "What?! How did you know I lived here?!"

He shrugged, "Followed your scent trail."

Ginger growled at Korbyn's stubborn attitude, "Go away.."

Korbyn just chuckled and waved his tail. Ginger blushed as the sun hit his gleaming pelt. Why did she feel this way?

She noticed his muscles, sturdy and well built. Gulping, she picked up her vole and trotted into camp fast so that Korbyn wouldn't follow her.

She was in her nest. The sun was setting to a beautiful pinkish-purple and orange. The colors melted together perfectly. Sighing, Ginger went to sleep. She felt Telracs and Drax settle down beside her. The thick branches hung over their heads as they snored.

Looking at her two friends and Snowy, she breathed out a gentle sigh and went to sleep.

Dawn light flickered in through the den walls, bright against Ginger's tired eyes. Groaning, she turned against the painful light and growled quietly.

Wrinkling up her nose, she sat up in bed. Telracs wasn't in her nest, so Ginger assumed she needed some alone time.

Ginger yawned and walked outside. Drax and Snowy were still asleep in their nests. Shaking the drowsiness out of her head she padded out of camp into the growing forest.

Ginger deeply breathed in the strong scents of pine and earth. She enjoyed the sharp scents and smiled slightly.

She loved this place.
