Maika padded through the yet-to-be-known forest of hers. She liked her new territory. There were lots of prey, and wolves rarely crossed the borders.

"Leave me alone!"

A loud bark followed by sharp growls came from a ways in front of Maika. She gasped.

She ran through the undergrowth, pounding hard on the ground, wondering what was going on. She hopped into a clearing where two wolves, or, wolf-looking creatures tussled on the ground.

Blood sprayed the floor as they fought. Maika recognized them both as males.

"Stop!" Maika ordered and pulled them away from each other. The one with most scratches looked black and white. Only, he wasn't a wolf. He looked more like a dog. His black and white pelt bristled as he glared at the other dog. The other one looked a bit like him, but bigger.

"What in the name of hell has gotten into you?!" Maika demanded.

"First you intrude on my territory, then you fight, scaring away all the prey!" She went on, "What's going on?"

"He started it!" The smaller one snarled.

"No, he's the one who called me fluff-brained, just because I lost that hare!" The bigger dog retorted.

"Look, I don't care, just get out of my territory!" Maika snarled, "Now, get out."

The younger ones eyes widened, "Do you happen to have a pack?"

Maika rolled her eyes in annoyance, "Yes, and they ain't afraid to beat up some trespassers!"

"C-could we possibly join yours?" The bigger one wagged his tail.

"Fine, but no funny business," Maika agreed.

The two apparent brothers smiled and followed Maika as she led them to her den.

Maika shook her head, at their dorky moods. Damian and Stakeheart were in the den talking quietly. They looked over as soon as they noticed the newcomers. Damian's lip curled in a snarl, and Stakeheart growled.

Despite Damian's and Stakeheart's behavior, the strangers didn't seem fazed. Maika rolled her eyes.

"Introduce yourselves," Maika ordered flatly.

"I'm Fang," The smaller one replied, "He's Raiku."

Raiku locked eyes with Damian, with a hint of hostility. Damian, on the other hand, was oblivious.

"We're not exactly wolves," Fang confessed.

"We're huskys," Raiku finished.

Maika was a bit unsure, "Well.. you can join our pack I guess..." she had a creeping suspicion on something, but couldn't quite name it.
