THE Sidekick

Crime fighting with rhyme is fine

With my reputation flat on the line

But the responsibility can't be mine alone

When getting criminals to atone

Villains have henchmen to do what they do

So maybe a sidekick is what I need too

Someone to add a little zing to my verse

When the odds are becoming a tad adverse

And not be too much of a strain on my purse

I think I know just the person to ask

One I'm sure would be up to the task

Her forte is a legendary, a withering scold

Delivered to transgressors who need to be told

Villains ears flame red

When they've heard what she's said

Recognizing their naughty behaviour

Try to turn a new leaf in the misguided belief

She'll return them a comparable favour

She could pick up my back if stanzas fail

Those rare moments when they're of no avail

She'll be the perfect sidekick, that I know
