The first creation of Allah

Narrated by Ubada bin As-Samit (R.A) I heard the messenger (pbuh) saying, "the first thing that was created by Allah was the pen.
Allah then said to it: write
It said: O Lord! What should I write? Allah then said: write down the destiny of everything until the final hour (as per my will)"

(this hadith was sound and reported by Ahmad)
