Chapter 13:

Catherine's POV:

I make my way back to the house as I try to forget all the bad memories. Everything bad that has happened to me in my life. The time my grandpa died and the only way the pain could go away was drugs and alcohol.

Opening the back door, I try to run upstairs fast enough, yet quiet enough,  that Harry doesn't notice I'm back.

I enter my room and grab the stacks of newspapers and books of Kendall and Harry and put them in my bag.

Putting the bag around my chest, I run downstairs and go to the shed in the back and grab my bike.

I prop it up on the kick stand and put Thor in the kennel with lots of food and water.

Hopping on my bike, I ride all the way to the library to return everything.

I leave my bike outside and go in the library and am greeted by the same librarian.

She smiles, "Any luck?"

I smile and nod, "Yes."

I hand her the newspapers and books and quickly ask her, "Can I get a library card?"

She nods and passes me a clipboard and pen with a few general questions.

I fill it out quickly and then hand it back to her. Her eyes gaze over it as she types the information into the computer.

"Pick out as many books and newspapers as you need."

"Thank you so much. But, um do you have any books on mystical creatures? Or paranormal entities?"

She nods, "Like ghosts, demons, and the devil?"

I nod, "Yes. That's it."

She stands up, and leads me over to the section.

(A/N: ok so this is a fan fic and most of this shit on the devil and demons and ghosts won't be true because I'm making it up for the plot of the fan fic)

"We have a few books on each topic, and here's where you'll find them. Would you like me to pick out the most informational?"

"That'd be great, thank you."

She pulls out a few books and leads me back over to the counter and checks them out to me.

When that's over with, I ride home and let Thor in and run upstairs.

I set down all books on my bed and get set my speaker up and put my iPhone on it. I put my songs on shuffle and "A Match In The Water" by Pierce the Veil comes on.

I sit down on my bed in cris cross, and look through the books.

Demons- A demon is a spiritual being of an angelic nature that has been condemned for eternity due to his rebellion against God after following Lucifer. As pure spirits, demons are not made up of matter. Because they do not have bodies, demons are not inclined to any "sins of the flesh" (i.e., it is impossible for them to commit the sins of lust or gluttony). The sins of demons are exclusively spiritual. But they can tempt human beings to sin in matters of the flesh. They have no soul whatsoever. If you happen to ever come in contact with one, contact someone to get rid of it immediately.

Ghosts- This question has plagued mankind for thousands of years. Ghostly activity is described in ancient works like the Holy Bible:
"Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up."
The Book of Job 4:15
And, each day, countless numbers of people still claim to experience "ghostly activity." In the most general sense, such activity might include unexplained sounds, objects moving without explanation, apparitions of people who vanish, physical forces that imitate the sensation of touch or simply make your hair stand on end and give you goosebumps.
Webster's defines "ghost" as a "disembodied human spirit." They are not as evil as demons, but can cause harm if wanted. Ghosts are not really something you need to worry about unless you feel threatened.

Devil- A man who is the definition of evil, and has no soul. He takes no pity on innocent victims. He is a man who can take the face of anybody. He may seem sweet at first but don't let him trick you. He will lie to manipulate you into making you feel for him. If this "man" gets attached to you, beware, and don't go anywhere alone with him, he will kill you and take him to the great depths of hell to be with him forever. He holds the face of pure beauty and can make you to do wrong. Do not make any sort of deal with this figure, for the Devil always cheats.
