The notification popped up on Ruby's phone and she sighed. Her eyes were already closing as she was tucked into bed but how often did Simon stream? Did she really want to miss it?

She had been an avid twitch fan for a few years now, following many of the most popular streamers and finding herself up at all hours because of it.

Modding a few chats, she was quite well known. She never modded anything like Simon's streams though - the mass of fans he bought to twitch was overwhelming.

Re-opening her laptop, she joined the stream and said hi in the chat. A few people mentioned her back and she waited till Simon had finished messing with the settings before typing her resub message.

"And rubetube on the twelve month resub!" Simon said as the message popped up on his screen. "Can you believe I've put up with your inconsistent crap for a year now?" He laughed as he read it out loud. "Glad to have you, Ruby. Have you joined the discord yet?"

Discord was a new thing in the gaming community. It ran smoother than skype and allowed people to have private group chats they could voice call in. She had downloaded it recently for another streamer.

She smiled as she received a whisper from Ethan. It's not like she was friends with them, they didn't follow her on any other social media than being friends on Twitch.
