We moved from LA to Texas. Ugh I'm so not looking forward to this... I haven't spoken to anyone since the funeral I just couldn't do it. My mom grew up in Texas. She was the first female quarterback... people over looked her skills cause she was a girl and she had been a cheerleader before that so they didn't really see her as a player... but I'm just me... I'm nothing great. I miss my mom maybe Texas won't be SO bad after all...

Emily: Sum you want some coffee?
I nodded my head yes.
Emily: usual?
I nodded again.
Dad: Summer you need to speak to us.
I looked at the floor and nodded no.
Emily: she needs time dad... leave her.
Dad: ok.
I drank my coffee and left for school... my first day at Williams B. Travis Prep.

I was looking at the doors of the building about to walk in when
Freddy: LOOK OUT!
It was too late he ran right into me and we fell to the ground the blonde boy laying on top of me ask...
Freddy: Are you ok? I'm so sorry about that.
I nodded yes.
Freddy: don't talk much do ya?
He asked as he helped me off the floor. I nodded no.
Freddy: Well I'm Freddy. Are you new here?
I nodded yes.
Freddy: Well need help finding the office?
I nodded yes
Freddy: so what's your name?
I showed him my notebook because it had my name written on the top.
Freddy: Summer huh? I like it.
We had arrived at the office.
Freddy: Well here we are.
I said thank you in sign language and he responded with you're welcome in sign language... I asked if he could sign? (While doing sign) and he said yes. (Fist moving up and down) that's cool...
(Sign will now be underlined)
Summer: cool
Freddy: Well I guess I should get going bye Summer.
Summer: Bye.

PM(Principle Mullins): oh you must be Summer.
I nodded
PM: your father mentioned that you didn't speak.
Summer: Sorry (flat hand rubbing heart in a circle)

A/N - I'm telling you guys SIMPLE sign movements just cause I think it's good information to have. I actually know sign... well some sign so yea.

PM: hold on I don't know sign but I know a student who does...
(over intercom) - Mr. Finn can you tell Mr. Huerta to come to my office please. Ok thank you.
5 minutes later...
Freddy: you called Principle Mullins... Summer? Hi.
I waved.
PM: Yes she doesn't speak so you mind translating for me?
Freddy: no problem.
Summer: I said sorry. (Point to self, point mouth, rubs chest)
Freddy: She said sorry.
Summer: May I please just have my schedule?
Freddy: she's asking for her schedule.
PM: oh of course...
she printed out my schedule and asked Freddy to show me around.
PM: she will be in your class Freddy. Take care of her please.
Freddy: No Prob Principle Mullins.
And with that we walked to our first class... we walked in and I was confused I thought it was time for history but they had instruments out and they all looked at me with a shocked expression.
Freddy: Chill guys she's in our class now.
Tomika: Hi! I'm Tomika.
I waved.
Tomika: this is Lawrence and Zack. And that's our teacher Mr. Finn. There's also

Tomika: dude does she talk?
Freddy: no.
Summer: does she not like me? Should I go?
Freddy: no she's just confused don't go.. please.
I nodded my head.
Freddy: so Tomika is our lead singer and Bass Guitarist, Zack is our lead guitarist, Mr. Finn is guitar, Lawrence is keyboard, and I'm drums.
Summer: what about everyone else?
Freddy: oh! Ramona, Maddie, Kenzie, Sean, and Kaycee are dancers. Henry Jasper Charlotte Millie and Finn are special effects. Ethan and Grayson are Video and editing. And Ash Esme And Jackson are costume design and props. (Hope I got everyone)
Summer: and what will I do?
Freddy: I don't know yet... it's your first day we need to see your strengths and weaknesses before determining anything,
Summer: ok.
