Chapter 3
⊱His Angel⊰
She woke up the next morning to the sound of glass breaking. She jumped up from the bed, alarmed. She run to direction where the sound came from and it lead her to the front door.
She saw the man trying to open the door while the vase she had on the small table beside her door was on the floor, broken. Small pieces of glass were all over the floor. She quickly put on her slippers, not wanting to get cut.
She saw the blood on the floor making her grimace. She moved closer to him, wanting to calm him down. He didn't notice her presence until he felt a soft hand on his back. He jumped back in surprise. He stood frozen with his back to her.
"Calm down, you are safe. I won't hurt you." She claimed, her voice soft and sweet. He still didn't turn to look at her but felt himself slowly calm down at the sound of her gentle voice. It, weirdly, made him feel safe and relaxed.
"Are you hurt?" She asked concerned as she stayed put in her place. He didn't answer her. He didn't feel any pain. He was confused with her question.
She decided to make the move and step forward. She gulped before she soflty touched his hand. He flinched back but didn't pull his hand out of her grasp. She felt the same sparks as the first time she had touched him. She took a shaky breath and slowly pulled him with her. He stepped over the broken glass, making more pieces dig into his feet.
He wouldn't dare to look at her. He didn't know if he wanted to see the owner of that sweet voice. He was really conscious of his surroundings.
She sat him on the couch and then went to bring the med kit, once again. She sat beside him when she had returned. She looked at him before she grabbed his ankle. He moved nervously in his seat and swallowed. She placed his foot on her lap and started taking the glass out of his foot. Her moves were slow and smooth, not wanting to make him feel a lot of pain.
He was silent during the whole time. His head was hung low and he didn't even flinch or made any sound of pain, like he wasn't hurt. Once she was done, she placed his feet down and crossed her hands on her lap. She coughed, hopping to get him to look at her but he didn't.
"So, I think you must be wondering why you are in my house." She said, looking at him. Seeing that she wouldn't get an answer from him, she continued.
"I found you on the streets three days ago, almost dead. I tried to call the ambulance but my phone was dead, so I brought you in my house. I couldn't leave you like that." She admitted, playing with her fingers in her lap.
He listened carefully to her words and he didn't know if he should believer her but then again, she took care of him and treated his injuries, so he believed her.
She stared at him, wondering what was going through his head. She was patient with him, remembering how frightened he looked before.
"Do you have a house or someone we can call and they can pick you up?" She asked him. He shook his head making her frown. She felt even worse for him.
"It's ok, you can stay here for a while, if you want." She gave him a warm smile, suddenly feeling the urge to help him.
He slowly raised his head at her statement. Her breath hitched as her hazel eyes connected with his mesmerizing ones. She, once again, was left breathless by his beauty. She felt as if he magnetized her. She couldn't look away from his eyes.
He felt like the world stopped around him, as if it was only him and her left alone in the world. She was stunning. The most beautiful women he had ever laid eyes on through his whole life and he has seen a lot of gorgeous girls but she, definitely, was the most beautiful one.
He stared at her beautiful half black, half blonde hair, that reached her shoulder. Then, he looked at her cute small nose, noticing her double piercings before his eyes settled on her full lips, making him swallow. They looked so kissable and soft. He resisted the urge to feel her lips with his thumb.
They both stared at each other for what felt like hours. The both focused only on each other, forgetting about their problems. They has never felt this attraction before. It was new to them and they didn't know how to react.
"Thank you for your kindness and your generosity. I would like to apologize for all the problems that I caused you." He, finaly, spoke lowly with grateful eyes.
She almost moaned at the sound of his voice. It was super sexy and deep. He had the deepest voice she had ever heard coming from a man. Her skin was tingling and tight with goosebumps. She took deep breathes, trying to calm her beating heart.
"Of course. Don't worry, you weren't trouble to me at all. I'm glad I helped you." She said honestly and smiled, suddenly feeling herself getting shy under his stare.
"What's your name?" He asked her with a hint of curiosity in his voice titling his head to the side cutely. She felt the smile forming on her lips.
"I'm Reina! What's your name?" She replied, her smile never leaving her beautiful face. She had an adorable smile, her gums showed more with her small straight teeth, they might be unusual but to him, they were cute.
"My name is Luciano." He answered with a gentle voice.
"That's a beautiful name." She smiled at him. He took a glimpse of her face, his ears taking a deep shade of red.
"Thank you!" He whispered softly. She chuckled at him and got up. He, immediately, looked at her, a curious expression on his face.
After half an hour, she was ready to leave. She had informed him that he could heat up the food from the previous day, in case he gets hungry and then left, leaving him alone.
He exhaled loudly, feeling stressed. He tried not to recall how he ended up almost dead at the street. He really didn't want to remember anything from that day. He didn't know if he wanted to see his parents or even return back to his home after the way they treated him. He felt betrayed and hurt. The wounds in his heart were still open and he didn't know if they would heal soon or at all.

This is how the rest of the month went by. She would wake up in the morning, get ready and leave for work. Luciano would patiently wait for her to return home, trying to help with the house so she wouldn't have to do everything by herself and it was his way of showing his gratitude.
Reina felt wonderful. She liked the feeling that she would get, knowing there is someone waiting for her at her house. She eas used to being alone for a long time and now this this new to her. She was starting to get used to this routine. She thought he was the sweetest and kindest man she has ever met. She learned more about him and found him more interesting.
She didn't dare to ask what had happened to him, knowing that he would tell her when he was ready. She got attached more to him as the days passed. Her feelings towards him turned into something stronger. He made her feel amazing and it was difficult for her to not like him.
She didn't know if he felt the same way towards her and she was afraid because she knew that sooner or later he would move out of her apartment. Only the though made her panic and feel anxious. She didn't want to lose him.
It was almost midnight and she finally got home. She had to stay longer at the restaurant since a girl group had a fight and she along with her other coworkers had to stay and clean up. She was annoyed and tried to be quick wanting to go home soon to Luciano.
She unlocked her front door and walked inside, expecting to see him standing beside the table with his cute little smile. She frowned as he didn't greet her like usual.
She took of her shoes and searched around the house for him. She thought he had left when she heated groans of pain coming from her room. Her heartbeat speed up and she hurriedly opened the door.
A gasped escaped her lips as her eyes widen in shock at the sight in front of her. The was a siluate facing the window. He was on his knees, his heavy breaths were heard across the room. The light of the moon hit his body, making it easier for her to see.
She stared with amazement at the two large black wings coming out of his back, blood running down his back. A whimper of pain came from him, snapping her out of her thoughts.
She, immediately, went to him. She tried to walk around his large wing, that was touching the wall. She walked under it and stood infront of him.
"Oh God!" She exhaled. He head was hung low as he took deep breathes, seeming out of breath. Her eyes moved down and she noticed the tattoos all over his chest and hands. They were different shapes and some words in a different language. Her shaky hands touched his cheeks softly, raising his head to look at his face.
"What happened to you?" She cried. She couldn't bear seeing him in this condition, so valuable and hurt. He opened his eyes at the sound of her voice, wanting to know why she was crying.
She felt her heart ach as she looked at him. He was exhausted and didn't have the strength to form a sentence. He hated seeing her crying. It broke his heart, she was too sweet to cry and the fact that he was so weak that he couldn't speak, frustrations him.
She gave him a light kiss on his forehead before she sulled him in her arms, hugging him to her. She wanted to let him know that she was with him and she would take care of him. She had so many questions in her head but she knew that now it was not the time.
