Jadesola

Monday's were a waste of day from my opinion and perspective. I couldn't see the reason why it was always made important. Most of all, I often wondered why everyone was always so serious on Monday's. Was there an unspoken rule or law that everyone and everything had to be serious that particular day? The fact that the weekend itself was always short was a plus annoyance.

I rolled over in my slant position on the bed, the purple laced duvet journeying with me. My legs twisted haphazardly as I coerced my weak bones to stretch in an awkward manner. The open curtain danced freely like in a mini parade, flapping around the room, caused by the open window located at the far end of the room.

Lazily, I took fatigued inhales as air flowed in a bit forcefully into my lungs. I could feel the presence of chills as it ran down my spine like on a relay race and I shivered at the temperature. Few hours ago, I had been awoken by the banging ache of my head. One side of my face stung like a bi** and I had to take proper care in turning my head during my sleep.

Resigned, I had opted to sleep away the headache but as the clock ticked by, the sun set higher, and the ache progressed immensely painful. The only thing I was capable of doing was just to lay on the bed and stare at the ceiling, imagining myself in Maldives, on a date with Harry Styles.

Even in pain, you manage to be stupid. My subconscious's eerily familiar tone snickered at me and I swear, if I hadn't been in so much pain, I'd have hit my head. Would have been worth it.

"Jadesola," Aunty as always forgot her manners in the bedroom and opened the door to my room in her usual careless manner. Yes, I still couldn't output the scenario of the other day when she had walked into the room after Williams had if I wanted his fingers. How embarrassing!

I remained still on the bed, the only sign of movement was my hand tapping the headboard of my bed to indicate I could hear her although internally, I was screaming, "I'm alive, I'm alive but this pain hurts. This life isn't for me, this world isn't my home, take me nowwww."
Even my subconscious gaped at my dramatic antics.

"Jade mi, what is wrong?" Immediate concern laced in Aunty voice as she settled herself next to me on the bed. The bedsheets rustled a bit by the intrusion, probably annoyed by Aunty from intruding its rest.

"Aunt Vic, I feel sick. My head hurts." My voice was barely a whisper but lucky enough, she was able to hear me. Her brows rose in deep care and she immediately frowned her face, her hands coming to caress my temple. "I knew there was a reason for waking up with a bad feeling. My baby, I'm so sorry it hurts. Firstly, I'll bring you breakfast and then I'd get you paracetamol and I'll call Goodluck to come over.

Good luck or Wellock was our family doctor. He had been with the family for as long as I could remember and I still had distinct memories of him treating me when I had been younger. Originally, his name was Wellock. Such a weird name I admit same with Aunty and so she had taken the disagreement to a whole lot of level and started to call the poor man "Goodluck" the name just kind of stuck with the rest of the family member and also Go-Wellock himself.

The next to rush down into my room was uncle. He also had this worried look resting in his face and if I had the energy, I could have smiled at the love and care.
"My big girl, your aunt informed me already on what happened. I've ringed up Goodluck. He'll be here soon, pele my dear." Uncle directed at  me, his hands leaning out to caress my head simultaneously. I could only nod my head in reply.

"But aunt, I have to go to work, I might get queried by William." Aunt paused from the tray she was trying to carry. She had come in here few minutes ago and had practically fed me till she was content enough.

"Abi ori William ofe pe ni? Leave him to me."
(Does William head not want to be correct) Aunt hissed as she left the room.

*****

By noon, I could say I had gotten better. The headache had reduced a whole lot and Goodluck had asked me to take a few days rest. In the shelter of my room; surrounded by the fall walls my mind couldn't help but drift to Williams sudden attitude towards me.  The morning after my inauguration ceremony, his behavior just changed towards me in a drastic manner. It had all begun after he had asked me a question.

"How sober are you now?" He has asked and my reply had been a, "why do you care?" At first he had appeared stunned and then he nodded his head and asked if I could remember anything about the previous night. Of course, the inauguration and I had just removed my face and ignored him haughtily. Of course, I had drank myself to stupor and the last thing I could remember was sharing an embarrassing childhood memory with Lucas. William stood still there of course and demanded an answer until I was as forced to grit out, "it was all a blur. There isn't anything special to remember." I had expected an insult from him or a reprimand but nothing. He just walked away and ever since, I had become like a ghost to him. If I wasn't one to him already.

Still, I couldn't help but feel like I had forgotten something I shouldn't have. What was it? Had  I said something to William? Oh my gosh, had I begged him for his fingers? Wo! Whatever it was, it wasn't like I gave a fuck about him or his coconut head.

Suddenly, I craved going to the gardens and so I grabbed my blanket and my book and headed towards the gardens ignoring Aunty calls at me to not catch a cold. I lay on the blanket, staring at the stars. A replay of deja vu flashing through my eyes. All had been going well with me until Williams had to come home. If only arghh—whatever I don't care about his coconut head!

A video call flashed through my phone and i hissed as the big heads of Joey and Temi appeared on the phone screen. "Jadeeee!" Joeys deep voice cut through the speaker and I rolled my eyes at him-technically, the screen. I was so sure they were calling just to piss me the hell off.

"If the both of you are this jobless, why don't you just marry each other?" I was immediately rewarded with choruses of ewwws, this ugly thing, I'm not interested by both parties. I could almost laugh. As mature as Joey was, Temi seemed to be the only one to pull out his immaturities and as for Temi, she'd always been like that.

"The wife I'm going to marry," Joey started as both me and Temi focused our gaze on him. "The wife I'm going to marry, she has to be tall unlike a short poke I know, she also has to be dark skinned too, to compliment my skin color and so we can have beautiful dark skinned babies." He finished. "Family of black apes." Temi muttered and I laughed out loud. These two were surely going to be the death of me one day.

"Ignore that fool." Joey hissed as Temi took  the lead, "As for me ooo, I like fair guys with beards. Omo, he has to have beards unlike some people we know here. Of course, the height and good manners. I don't ask for much and I'd be sure to please him in every way possible. We'd do it in the kitchen, ba-  Joey promptly interrupts her. "Ejo o, no one wants to listen to your sexual skills not like it'd be anything impressive."

Temi hissed as she adjusted herself, causing the phone to shake. "You come now, let me give you BJ and let's see if you'll be saying this." She finally said as she crunched Pringle's in her mouth, the sound reverberating across the speaker.

My glance kept going to and fro from both parties and I must say, they were keeping me a great company. "Lukadiswan , why would I want a BJ from that your small mouth that can barely contain a can of Maltina." Joey sassed back, leaving Temi gapping. Quickly, she recovered.

"Funny of you to say. Of course you'd know that, considering the size of your dick is barely the size of a canned Malt."

I died. I burst out laughing like I was on a curse and ignored the glares from Joey. "You guys- I paused to laugh again, you guys- my speech of course had died get interrupted by the thundering voice that called out my name.

"Jaydeee, where the fuck are you?" That was Williams voice and by the tone of it, it didn't seem very friendly.

"Erm guys, I'll call you back." I quickly addressed Joey and Temi and cut the call. Right on time, Williams arrived.

"Hey." I said as he glanced down at me, causing me to get up and force myself from being intimidated by his furious gaze.

Williams cleared his throat, "firstly, I get that we were somehow a little bit friendly towards each other and that we exchanged few smiles. I also get the fact that I've been a little bit soft with you. That had been a mistake on my part. I looked at him in confusion. Wakanda was going on?  "But let me tell you jayde, that doesn't give you the right. The audacity of you really, to think that-to say that, he took in a sigh. I'll just have you know, since you've left me, you've left us no choice. The matrimony between us would be hell for you. You'd even regret the fact that you planned it in the first place.

Ehn? Matri what?

"Williams, what are you saying? Planned what? Which matrimony? Is it the business?" I questioned as I was still confused at what he was saying.

"Oh jayde, don't oksy dumb with me. We both very know you are in on it. I'm just wondering how you managed to convince my dad." His voice was starting to get more pissed.

"I don't understand you, Williams. What did I manage to convince unc- my speech was of course interrupted by a loud growl that made me shift back and cower back in fright.

"You convinced him of the fact that we are both in love and now we are fucking GETTING MARRIED!" I paused at first, and burst out to laugh.

"Oh my gosh, Williams. That was a funny prank. You got me." My laughter paused as I took a moment to take in his serious look. Oh my gosh, he really wasn't kidding. What the fuck?

"I just want you to know that, you'd regret ever making a decision to get married to me." Williams said and immediately walked away, looking like he was ready to destroy anything that crossed his path. No, grouse couldn't be happening. I had to go correct uncle. I couldn't get married to Williams. I wasn't even interested in him that way.

On getting to the living room, aunt Vicky immediately hugged me. "Jade, I'm so excited about this. I really can't wait to start planning the wedding. My aso ebi would be so louddd. Iya fidelia oni ritan (fidelias mum won't see the end of it)

I was about to open my mouth to correct her but the look—the excited jumps she kept making and the way she flung herself from side to side, I couldn't do it. She was so happy. She kept rambling about how her dreams were coming true. Her son and the one she considered as a daughter. I couldn't do it. And maybe, just maybe a sick, insecure part of me felt like I needed to do that. To repay all the kindness they'd shown to me. And so, I faked a smile and listened to her ramble all night.

Oh my gosh, I am getting married to Williams!

Bj-blowjob.

Gbaun, gbaun, story time over. As for the reason why our uncle, Jamal decided to get these two married, it'd be reveal later. I cannot believe thisss they are getting married!

Jade forgot the kiss! That amazing kiss! Even I haven't forgotten it. Well, that's a wrap. Thank you for being patient with me. See you guys soon
