Something called Pure Heart
[A.N// Charlotte's flashback is over, the coming scenes are all part of the present in the hospital with Louis]
- You cut yourself.
I stare the floor, consuming a precious moment of silence and brain working, aiming to understand what had happened in Lotte's house almost 6 hours before. I feel her head going up and down, lazily, confirming my thoughts.
- And the rest you know. - She said - I panicked because the cut was hurting harder than I thought it would hurt...
We hear the door being opened, and a lady with a clipboard comes in. I jump out of Lotte's bed in a blink of an eye. The woman looks at us, then she turns to me:
- You'd better let your friend sleep, Mr. Gerun; she needs a rest before going home again.
- Going home? - My eyes meet Charlotte's - Is she completely healed?
The nurse nods patiently and write some notes on the clipboard. Then she walks to the door, with a dumb Louis on her heels. Of course Charlotte is fine; she is strong.

The sun takes the moon's place faster than I imagined; and I wake up with a sweet smell of coffee which fills each corner of the hospital waiting room.
I stretch, all my bones crack. It looks I was stoned by a million needles. Ouch...
An old man sitting next to me stares at my legs through his half-moon glasses. I haven't realized I have grown this much in the last 5 years. But man, that senior is incredibly similar to Dumbledore, Harry Potter's professor, and I was about to ask an autograph when someone calls my name.
It's the nurse from yesterday, with the same clipboard in one hand and a plastic cup in the other, releasing smoke. I make an effort to push the ground, very smooth by the way, and walk-kinda-stumble toward her.
- How is she? - I ask, giving a look at her coffee (instinct sorry).
- Changing cloths, very healthy... - she smiles and offers me the cup, which I accept without hesitation. So glad kind people are not extinct yet.
Charlotte appears from the large light-blue door a moment later, with no blood on her clothes anymore. She approaches me uncomfortably cute, but her eyes look sad.
- Louis, - she says almost whispering- my parents don't know I'd spent a night at the hospital.
- Gosh...
She makes the signal of silence:
- If they know, they will come back for me and lose the Brighton opportunity. And besides I don't want to see their disapproval look right now. What can I do?
I suddenly feel my fingers scrubbing against each other, an habit I've got after my first contact with nervousness, shyness and completely terrorness.
- Charlotte? - Words go out with no prior thoughts - Would you stay with me until your parents come back?
