Hey guys! Just letting you know, if you don't know what crazy carpets are, they are like this slippery kind of toboggan that is literally just a thin sheet where you sit and grab handles at the front and slide down the hill. It's a lot of fun! :)

"FINALLY!" you cried as the school bell rang for the final time that day, dismissing you from your least favourite class, (subject). Quickly, you packed your bag and headed to your locker in excitement, for today you were going to hang out with Hiro and his friends from SFIT and go "crazy carpeting", and one of your friends, (Y/BFF/N), decided to tag along.

"(Y/N)!" you heard (Y/BFF/N) call out to you as she made her way through the crowded hallway to reach your locker.

You grinned. "Hey (Y/BFF/N). How are you?"

"Oh, I'm feeling just great," she replied. "Just the usual, I guess. Homework in math and geography, and a long lecture in English about Shakespeare."

"I thought my day went worse," you remarked. "My gym teacher went through (sport), which turns out to be one of my worst sports. And in science, we finally studied chemical compounds and equations, and...well...let's just say it went along the same lines as it always had."

"I can't blame you," (Y/BFF/N) said. "But hey, at least you get to see Hiro and his friends today! I never met them. I hope they're nice."

"They are super friendly," you said, blushing a bit at the mention of Hiro. You and Hiro had been friends for so long--practically since when you first realized his genius--and you have been hanging out together for quite a bit. After he got into SFIT, you and he still got together, though not as often. But it was nice to hear that he invited you to go crazy carpeting with him and his friends.

"Aha! I see that blush!" The sound of (Y/BFF/N) loudly shouting made you snap out of your reverie.

"What blush?" you asked, feeling your cheeks heat.

"You and Hiro...you're friends, right?" (Y/BFF/N) smirked. "Or have you, well, you know..."

"Shush!" you cried, laughing. "It's not what you think. Hiro and I are friends, and nothing more."

"Really." (Y/BFF/N) laughed too. "You better not hide that denial from me when you see him."

You sighed in defeat. "You'll see."

Together, you zipped up your jackets and headed out of San Fransokyo High, making your way to SFIT.

"HIRO!" Tadashi, Hiro's older brother, entered Hiro's lab to see his younger brother look through his phone. At present, Hiro was just flipping through his mobile album to see the pictures of you and him together during the Christmas break. "Come on! We're all waiting for you."

Hiro was too engrossed in a certain photo of you and him, arms around each other and laughing as you admired the snowy day. Aunt Cass took that photo for you two without you knowing, and Hiro had treasured this photo for a long time. Now he was about to see you, his best friend and secret crush, and he had no idea how to confess.

"Hey Tadashi," Hiro greeted his brother nonchalantly, still staring at his phone.

Tadashi took off his coat and walked over to Hiro. He then bent down to meet Hiro's eyes. "You like (Y/N), don't you?" he asked softly and gently.

Hiro blushed. "Well, I really enjoy spending so much time with her and stuff, and yeah she's my best friend. But I don't know what it was that made me fall for her!" He looked up at Tadashi with a worried expression. "I mean, I don't know if you have ever felt like you were lost in love whenever you look at a girl. But I can assure you, it's a scary feeling. I don't know if she'll like me back."

Tadashi laughed lightly. "That's what's holding you back from hanging out with her today?"

Hiro nodded. "I think it's about time I confessed to her, but how would she react?"

"Start things slow," Tadashi said. "Hmm. You can probably start with like a simple hug and conversation. Maybe at one point you could just spill it out when she's ready."

"Probably," Hiro nodded. "I honestly hope we could be more than just best friends, in all due honesty."

"I know you will," Tadashi smiled. "I'm not giving up on you--even if it comes in a relationship."

Hiro put his phone away and gave Tadashi a fist bump. "Thanks, bro."

"Any time."

Then the two of them put on their coats and headed outside in the cold sunny outdoors.

"Just this way," you told (Y/BFF/N), dragging her along by the arm through the winding streets until you finally caught sight of the gleaming robotics lab in front of you. 

"That looks amazing!" (Y/BFF/N) gasped in wonder. "No wonder you want to go here!"

You nodded. "It's not just to see Hiro every day you know. I have a knack for robotics, not gym."

"We're still young, we'll get things figured out when we can," (Y/BFF/N) remarked.

You nodded.

Soon, you saw Hiro and his friends and brother standing outside with a huge pile of what looked like colourful sheets in hand. You waved at them, and Hiro waved back.

"(Y/N)!" Hiro cried, throwing his arms around you. "So great to see you again."

"Great to see you too," you said, laughing as you and he spun around, causing a sigh to emit from your surrounding buddies.

"So where are we going?" you asked.

"There's a really good snowy hill not too far from here," Gogo responded. "We'll easily get there if we take Wasabi's car."

Wasabi beamed. "I can drive you, but just don't go out of control this time! We're not being chased by the guy in a Kabuki mask!"

Your eyebrows raised, and so did (Y/BFF/N)'s. "Kabuki mask?"

"Long story," Hiro said. "We'll explain the details later."

You nodded, and Wasabi headed to the car, making sure everyone was in before he started the engine. Tadashi sat with Wasabi in the front, followed by Honey Lemon and Gogo and Fred in the middle, and then you, Hiro, and (Y/BFF/N) sat in the back, you squished between Hiro and (Y/BFF/N).

"You're (Y/N)'s friend?" Honey Lemon asked, turning back to see (Y/BFF/N).

"Yeah!" she replied enthusiastically. "You don't mind me tagging along?"

"Of course not!" she exclaimed cheerily. "The more the merrier! I'm Honey Lemon, by the way." She went around introducing everyone, and (Y/BFF/N) soon felt at ease.

"Nice to meet you guys," (Y/BFF/N) nodded, grinning. 

You turned to your left, where Hiro was sitting, and looked at him in concern as he stared out the window. You couldn't deny it anymore, you liked Hiro as a best friend and then developed a crush for him, and you didn't know how, or why. Something burned in you to just reach over and take his hand, which was just lying beside him...but you know he wouldn't want that. Brushing that thought aside, you reached over to Hiro and interlocked your fingers with him, loosely.

That brought Hiro round, but he didn't look angry. He just smiled at you. Dang, that smile just made you want to melt so much. And the two of you just kept holding hands like that until you got to the hill, without talking.

Wasabi parked the car, everyone got their crazy carpets out, and headed over to the top of the hill.

"Alright!" Fred cried, grabbing a green crazy carpet and backing up before running to the hill and crashing on the carpet on his stomach, sending him flying down the hill like a penguin. Or rather, a monster-like penguin, since he still had his monster suit on.

Tadashi went next. "Coming through!" he shouted, pushing off from the hill while sitting down, slowly revolving around as he went down, which made you laugh..

Gogo and Honey Lemon decided to go together, and Wasabi gave them a big push. You looked up in time to see Fred and Tadashi laugh at the bottom of the hill and bring their crazy carpets back up the hill. 

"Hey (Y/N)!" Fred cried. "You going down any time soon?"

You nodded. "(Y/BFF/N), you ready?"

"Yeah! Let's go!"

You sat on one of the remaining crazy carpets, (Y/BFF/N) sitting right behind you, and Hiro gave you two a push. Shrieking with laughter, you managed to go down without crashing into Gogo or Honey Lemon, and by the bottom of the hill she slipped off from you and rolled down the hill, laughing.

"That was AWESOME!" you cried as you got up from the carpet.

For the next hour, you guys kept going down the hill and laughing and having lots of fun. Sometimes you went down the hill alone, sometimes with (Y/BFF/N), or with Honey Lemon and Gogo, but not with Hiro. That was, until the very end.

"Hey guys," Tadashi spoke up, calling his friends together, (Y/BFF/N) included. "How about one more slide, and then we head into that chalet over there for hot chocolate?"

"Good plan," (Y/BFF/N) agreed. "Who still wants to go?"

Hiro piped up, "I'll go."

"I second," you said, and immediately felt heat creep on your face again.

Hiro looked at you happily. "Really?"

You nodded. "Why not?"

So the two of you sat on a blue crazy carpet, you sitting behind Hiro with your hands on his shoulders. This contact made Hiro tense up a bit--thankfully you couldn't see his face, or he yours, because you were sure you were blushing so hard at the idea that you wanted to go with him.

"Alright! Let's do this!" Fred cried, giving you and Hiro a big push that sent you two flying down the hill.

You screamed with laughter as you and Hiro sped down the hill on the crazy carpet. It seemed like Fred had pushed you a bit too hard, because by then you and Hiro started to revolve around and around and by the time you reached the bottom Hiro fell off of the carpet, you somehow landing on top of him, and the two of you rolled for a bit, arms around each other.

"Whoa," Hiro breathed, seeing how close your face was to his. 

Keeping your arms around him, you brought your head to one side of Hiro's neck, simply enveloping him in a hug before you felt Hiro touch your cheek and lift your head up so that your eyes met his.

"What are you doing?" you whispered.

"I've been waiting to do this for a while," he admitted, bringing your face closer to his. The distance between your faces diminished until you felt your lips touch his, and you closed your eyes.

Slightly startled, you brought one hand up to his hair and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss. Despite the fact that you two were lying down in snow, you felt so much heated passion channel through you at that moment, and you could swear that if you went any further, the snow around you would just melt and it would make you and Hiro sink further.

What you didn't notice was the rest of the gang running down the hill to see what you and Hiro were up to...

"I KNEW IT!" 

You reluctantly brought your lips away from Hiro's and looked up to see (Y/BFF/N) doing a happy dance. 

"HAHA! I knew it I knew it I KNEW IT! (Y/N) loves Hiro!"

You laughed and cast a fistful of snow at (Y/BFF/N), the snow simply showering in front of her since you didn't have much strength to throw properly. 

"Okay, you win," you said in defeat, getting off of Hiro and lying down beside him now. "You win. I do. I've been denying."

"AND HIRO LIKES HER BACK!" Tadashi cried, dancing with (Y/BFF/N). "Isn't this amazing. Now I can't wait to be the best man at their wedding."

"Shut up!" Hiro protested, but he couldn't help but smile.

"What do you say we get warmed up?" Wasabi asked. "I'm cold."

You smiled. "I'm down, but...just give me and Hiro a moment. If you don't mind, that is," you added to Hiro, who shook his head.

"I don't mind."

"We'll see you in the chalet, then," Honey Lemon waved as she and rest of the gang and (Y/BFF/N) trudged back up the hill.

You kept lying in the snow, very aware of Hiro's presence. 

"So, you don't mind, do you?" Hiro asked you, looking at you as you turned to look at him. 

"Don't mind what?" you asked, reaching over to take his hand again, this time intertwining your fingers with his so that your palms touched. 

"You won't mind being my girlfriend then?" Hiro asked bashfully. "Not that being my best friend isn't enough, but since you know, well..."

You squealed and sat up, rolling over to him and helping him sit up, his back now full of snow. "I don't mind. I have liked you for a long time too, you know."

"Since when?"

You smirked. "Since the winter break, I guess, since that day we first hung out alone on that peaceful winter's day..."

"I still have that photo," Hiro told you. "That would always be my favourite memory."

"I'm so happy to be here with you," you finally admitted, your lips turning up into a wide smile that made Hiro's heart melt.

"And I you," he whispered back, pulling you in for yet another kiss.

What do you think of this? I never really thought about romantic toboggan rides but this kind of hit me when I thought back to the time my res mates and I went crazy carpetting one night outside my res, there was a hill there and stuff so we borrowed crazy carpets from a couple people and went out. It was so much fun!

If you haven't checked it out yet, I'm starting a Hiro X Reader novel called "A Helping Hand". I only got one chapter uploaded, but I hope it's good so far. May have some romance, though I'm not sure how to incorporate that at this point. Ahh well. I'll think of something.
