I immediately took a few steps away from Danny, my heart pounding insanely. I didn't know what he was doing to me. I didn't want him to make me feel like this. He was making everything so complicated. And I just felt so conflicted.

"It really hurts when you push me away like this." He spoke so softly, I almost didn't hear him. I didn't say anything as my back faced him. I couldn't look at him. "Am I not good enough? Because I'm trying so damn hard Alina. So damn hard! But nothing seems to work. Why do you hate me so much? I get that you hate werewolves but what have I ever done to you?" I didn't answer. I didn't know what to say.

"Alina, I'm tired of this. I'm tired of you pushing me away as if I'm some sort of disease that you need to get far away from. It hurts Alina. I would walk away from you like you want me to. But I fucking can't Alina! I just can't." He growled out in frustration causing me to turn to him in anger.

"Good! Let it hurt! If you can't walk away, then let it hurt you!" I yelled at him, feeling absolutely horrible for the things I was saying to him. I didn't want to hurt him. But in order for me to not hurt him any longer, I had to hurt him right now. "I don't care about you Danny! I hate you and I always will! Just leave me alone already!"

I turned around to face him and there was so much hurt displayed in his eyes. He looked so dejected. "Why?" He asked quietly not looking at me anymore. "Why do you hate me? That's all I want to know. After that, I'll leave you alone. Just tell me why you hate me so much."

I had no answer to that. Absolutely nothing.

"You don't know why you hate me." He stated as he grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me close to him, causing me to gasp. "Because you don't hate me. You just wished you hated me."

"You're wrong." I said causing him to angrily growl at me.

"Don't lie to me Alina!" He growled out as he pulled me up tight against him. I gulped, my heart beating way too fast. "I can feel your heart racing, baby girl." He buried his hand in my hair, pulling my head back so I was looking straight up at him. "Admit it Alina, you want me."

"No Danny!" I exclaimed. "You're wrong, I don't."

"Really now?" He asked with one eyebrow raised before he pressed me back against a tree. He then leaned down and pressed his lips hard onto mine. I froze, tensing up before pushing him away.

"Stop." I spoke firmly glaring up at him. "Don't ever kiss me again like that!" I snapped angry at him for kissing me. He looked angry too as he opened his mouth to say something back when he suddenly tensed up, seeming to focus on something else.

"Rogues." He growled out as he immediately threw his clothes off, before switching into his werewolf form. My eyes widened when I registered what he said. Rogues. Rogues were horrible. They were worse than werewolves, feral even.

Within seconds we were surrounded by five rogues and I felt really scared. I didn't have any of my weapons with me so I couldn't even defend myself against them.

This was really bad. Five rogues against one werewolf and one human. There was no chance of our survival. Danny and I were dying today. Danny stood in a protective stance in front of me, growling at the rogues just as one decided to attack. Danny immediately took off, counteracting the attack before the other four decided to kick in. They all attacked Danny at once, causing me to scream in fear. Fear for Danny.

Danny looked like he was trying hard to fight them off but he couldn't do it. There were just so many of them and only one of him. He wouldn't survive unless I did something. I had to do something. I couldn't let them hurt him like that. I looked around for something I could use as a weapon when I found a broken branch on the ground. I knew this wouldn't do much but it would be enough to distract them and give Danny enough time to get up and fight back.

I grabbed it and ran towards the rogues, hitting one of them really hard with it. The Rogue I hit immediately turned back to face me with a growl. Shit. He did not look very happy. The fear really hit me when he jumped up onto me, causing me to scream out in fear and pain. I closed my eyes just as I saw the rogue raise his claws up high to hurt me.

Suddenly I felt the rogue being pushed off of me and I opened my eyes to see it was Danny. He pushed the rogue off of me. As soon as the rogue was off and away from me, Danny got up on top of me, shielding me from the rogues with his body. I looked to my left to find two of the rogues dead, and two of them injured. The injured ones didn't look too happy. The one that attacked me had gotten up and was getting ready to attack Danny.

"Danny, he's going to hurt you!" I screamed just as the Rogue opened its mouth and bit Danny hard on the shoulder. Danny howled out in pain causing me to shake in fear. The Rogue than pulled its mouth away, ripping a small chunk of Danny's flesh off him. I screamed as I grabbed onto Danny's werewolf face. "Danny, please fight!" I exclaimed even though I knew he wasn't going to move. He wasn't going to leave me vulnerable to the Rogue.

I noticed the other two injured Rogues getting up and coming towards Danny to attack him as well. "Danny please!" I begged as I felt tears fall down my face. Danny simply let out a small growl before burying his muzzle in my neck. Just then the same Rogue that attacked me before, bit into Danny again causing Danny to howl in more pain. "Danny, please fight! Please, I'm begging you!" I cried out. Just then the other two Rogues attacked, jumping on top of Danny, biting him hard as well. Danny howled in more pain as he tried to throw the three Rogues away from him. But he was failing miserably. He was bleeding so much and I could tell he was starting to get tired as he wasn't fighting them off with as much energy anymore.

"Danny, get off me! Please! Forget about me! I'm a Bitch to you anyways! Save yourself, Danny please!" I cried out, as more and more tears slid down my face. I hated how he was protecting me instead of saving himself. The Rogues kept attacking and hurting him and he let them as he tried to protect me.

Soon I saw a whole group of werewolves coming. They immediately attacked the Rogues, moving them away from us. Danny then slumped down onto me, his eyes falling close causing me to start to panic. "Danny!" I screamed just as I noticed more Rogues show up. I was so glad we had so many werewolves here to fight off all these Rogues. But the problem was that we needed to get Danny to a pack doctor as soon as possible. How was I supposed to get him back all by myself, especially when there were so many more Rogues that showed up?

I noticed Danny slowly switching back to his human form, causing me to cry out. This wasn't good. If a werewolf involuntarily switches back to their human form, it meant that they were slowly dying. Danny couldn't be dying. I wouldn't let him. I gently laid him down onto the ground beside me as I stripped off my shirt. I didn't even care that I was practically naked in front of everyone with only my bra on. Right now the only thing going through my mind was saving Danny. I didn't care about anything else.

I ripped my shirt off into strips, like bandages. I then took one and started wrapping one around his shoulder as it was bleeding profusely and I had to make it stop. I had to stop him from dying. "Danny please wake up." I kept whispering as I tied to bandages around all the places he needed them. I was so scared. He couldn't leave me. I wouldn't let him.

Once I had all the bandages on, I hugged his head close to my body. "Please wake up Danny. Please." I whispered in fear before looking up to see the horrible mess surrounding me. So many of the Rogues had been killed. But there were still a couple alive.

I held Danny so close to me. I held him tightly, hoping he'd wake up. The tears fell from my eyes and dripped onto his face. I wiped his face clean before pressing my ear against his chest. I listened and listened but couldn't hear anything. No heartbeat. "Danny!" I screamed as I felt so much pain in my heart. He couldn't be dead. He couldn't. I refused to believe it. I rest my head on his chest, waiting and waiting for something. But nothing came up.

I was crying really hard now. I was bawling my eyes out crying. Just then a bunch of the werewolves came over to Danny and I. I looked around and found all the rogues dead. I then turned to the werewolves and begged them to do something. To bring Danny back somehow. One of the werewolves picked him up and ran off with him towards the palace. I ran after the wolf who had Danny before I felt myself being lifted up, onto another werewolf's back. The werewolf who held me, ran towards the castle following the wolf that had Danny.

I felt so scared and worried. I was crying really hard. I wanted Danny alive. I wanted him with me. I couldn't believe this all happened today. I so desperately wished this was all a nightmare and that I'd wake up soon. But I knew it wasn't. This was all real.

We soon reached the palace and I immediately ran to follow where they were taking Danny. I immediately ran into the Pack Doctor's clinic to find everyone there. Zander was there with his mate, Rosie, looking completely miserable. Antonio was there and so were a bunch of other werewolves. "Which room is he in?" I immediately asked and Rosie pointed to a closed door.

I ran to the door when two guards stopped me saying no one was allowed to go in there. "Get out of my fucking way!" I yelled trying to push my way through them. They simply grabbed me by my shoulders and set me down onto the chair.

"You suddenly care about him?" Zander questioned with a glare. I looked away not saying anything. I looked down and remembered that I had no shirt on. I wrapped my arms around myself as I noticed everyone's eyes on me.

"Stop looking at me!" I snapped at them all angrily, causing them to all look away."And I want to see Danny! I have the right to! I am his mate, aren't I?" I demanded, wiping my tears away. But no one would let me in.
