Rey

I shut my trunk and enter the dorm. Most of my life was foster homes because I hated all the people, and my parents died when I was young. I don't know how, but I think an accident. I use the key to turn the lock and walkthrough. My trunk is set on the bed, and I unpack everything.

"Are you my roommate?" I turn and see a short Asian girl looking happy.

"Why yes, why?"

"Great, I'm Rose, Rose Tico. I can help you get settled in." she shakes my hand.

"Thank you, I'm Rey Kenobi," I reply happily.

We finish unpacking, and my bed is made with grey sheets, a light blue comforter, and the same color as both pillows. My closet is filled with my clothes, and the desk is organized, ready for use.

"Thank you, Rose," I look at her thankfully.

"Of course, I want you to meet my friends here. They're guys, but really funny. We are going to a party tonight; would you like to come?" she asks happily.

"I'd love to. When is it?"

"We have an hour, and then all of us are meeting up downstairs for dinner. We like to go to a diner first," she says.

"Sweet, let's get ready then." I go shower.

My shoulder-length hair is curled, and I throw on a white tank, jean shorts, black leather jacket, and black boots. I walk to the living room and wait for Rose. She comes out in blue ripped jeans, a black tank with a red leather jacket. 

"We have the same idea outfit, nice," I comment with a laugh.

She laughs as we walk downstairs to the entryway of the whole dorm complex.

"Finn, Poe, this is Rey. Rey, that is Poe, and the other is Finn." Rose points to each of the men.

"Hi, I'm Rey," I happily wave at the two boys.

"Nice to meet you. Are you new here?" Poe asks nicely.

His dark brown, curly hair frames his face. He definitely looks Italian. I shake his hand.

"Are you British?" Finn asks me.

"Yea, I was born in London, but I moved here when I was 10. I guess the accent never wore off." I shrug my shoulders.

We all laugh and drive to the diner. 

"Let's take our corner seat in the back." Finn points to their usual spot here.

I nod and follow.

"Hello, what would you guys like to get today?" the waiter asks us sweetly.

"I'll get some tea please," I answer the question.

"Coke"

"Pepsi"

"Ginger Ale" 

The waiter leaves to get our drinks.

"We usually get dinner, and then drive to the party," Rose tells me their thing as the boys throw insults as each other.

"Bro, bet that girl is going to give me her number," Poe brags.

"And what if she doesn't?" I ask Poe.

"Eh, I'll shrug it off. Finn and I usually like to make bets when we're at restaurants." I nod in an "okay."

 I look out the window getting a feeling that someone is watching me. I shrug it off and enjoy the dinner with Finn, Poe, and Rose.

"Ready to go to the party?" Finn looks at me.

"Yea, ready as I'll ever be." I nod as we leave for the party.

"Time to get drunk! Let's go have fun!" Rose cheers as we all laugh at her comment.

"Damn right!" Poe high fives Rose.

"Fuck it, let's do this." I start laughing not even knowing why.

We get to the dorm complex, and I see the dark theme. It's all black, grey, or red. I wonder why. We walk to the elevator, and Poe hits the number of which level it's at. I stand fiddling with my thumbs. We all walk to the party and barge in.

"Time to have fun," Rose whispers in my ear.

"Yep," I agree.

We all enter and walk to where the dancing is. I feel the grove of the music even though I don't know what song is playing, but I start swaying my hips to the music. Rose is using her hands as she dances. Gosh, this is so crowded, I'm going to go grab a drink. 

"I'm going to grab a drink and some air." They all nod and continue to dance.

I pour some water, knowing I'm probably going to be the sober person. I walk out to the balcony and just stand there seeing the view.

"Beautiful view, isn't it?" a deep, velvety voice asks me.

"Yes, the lights are bright in the dark. Those lamposts are like the stars, they are brighter in the darkness." I agree with him.

Who is this person? I turn to see a tall, dark man. Holy fuck, he's kinda hot. His dark locks cover his ears and make him a little intimidating. I turn away quickly hoping he didn't notice. 

"Who are you?" I ask him.

"You'll meet me soon enough. The question really is, who are you?" he replies with the same question.

"Someone that you'll meet in the near future," I reply with the same idea.

"Are you new here?" he asks.

"Figure it out yourself. I'm sure a big boy can handle that." I look at him with a smirk on my face.

I'm pinned to the wall with his face inches from my face, "Do you realize how captivating you are? Do you know that it is so hard to resist kissing those tempting lips of yours? Do you understand how much of a hard time you are giving me?" 

"If I'm really that attractive, why don't you kiss me to see how it feels. Does it..." I'm interrupted by a kiss.

His lips connect with mine, and I find myself kissing him back. His hands find my waist, and mine find his hair. His lips trace my neck and jawline. I gasp as his soft lips suck and kiss it. It felt like forever, but I was interrupted by Finn.

"Rey, you have to help Rose! She's on the table." Finn tells me loudly.

I pull away and rush to my friend, but before I leave him, I turn to the man who kissed me.

"You're a good kisser, and undeniably hot. I'll see you later I guess." with that, I run to help my friend in danger of embarrassment.

"ROSE! Get your ass off that fucking table!" I see my friend drunk as fuck dancing.

I turn to Finn and Poe, "Finn, Poe, get her off the table. Pull her, do whatever it takes to get her off that table. We are leaving, and I'm driving seeing that you two are also a little drunk." 

Finn and Poe pull her off and carry her to the car. I hop in the driver's seat, starting up the engine.

"Let's go, Finn, stay with Rose. Poe, you have shotgun." I start driving as we leave the party.

Finn and Poe carry her up the stairs and into the room. I set her down and make sure she is all taken care of.

"Thank you, Poe and Finn. I will see you tomorrow at training. It seems that we start at 8:00 sharp correct?" I ask them.

"Yes, have a sports bra and shorts. Be ready for anything because this is grueling, hard, training. It's a true test. We will pick you two at 7:15. Breakfast starts at 7:15, and you need your food to digest." Poe tells me the rules and agenda.

"Thank you, I'll see you guys then." I wave as they walk out.

"Night, Rey," both of them bid goodbye.

I change and wash my face. My bed is calling my name; I listen and slip under the covers thinking about that dark man kissing me earlier. God, he's already got me entranced.

"Rose, wake up. We have breakfast in an hour." I shake my friend awake.

"Alright, thank you. I won't be at training because I do something else at the campus," she tells me.

"Fuck, who am I to have as a friend for training?" I complain.

"You'll have Finn and Poe, but I help with chemicals and blowing stuff up. I'm a mechanic and experimentist. I will see you at lunch, and maybe we'll have classes together." I nod sadly.

"Okay." I walk into my closet and grab some work out gear.

I throw on a tank and some shorts I used in cross country and track. Yes, I'm a runner. I'm quite fast too. I take my water bottle, and Rose and I both walk to the boy's dorms.

"Hey, boys, ready for breakfast?" I wave at them happily.

"How the fuck are you so happy, Rey?" I laugh at Finn.

"Well, I didn't drink so I don't have any hangovers. Let's go to the dining hall; there will be coffee displayed, I'm sure." We all walk down to the hall for some breakfast.

I take some eggs, toast, and bacon. I fucking LOVE bacon! I walk to our table. Rose was already sitting there, so I talked with her.

"Ready for this?" I nodded at my new friend.

"Yes, Poe said it's grueling," I sound worried.

"Yea, but you'll get through it. You are a strong and badass woman. I can already tell with meeting you within 24 hours." I hug Rose.

"Thank you, Rose, you are too," I smile and pull away.

The boys sit down throwing more insults at each other. I roll my eyes and listen to the two stupids. Within 15 minutes, we all finish and brush our teeth.

"Bye Rose! See you at lunch!" I wave and walk with Finn and Poe.

"Ready?" I nod ad Finn.

"Let's go have our asses handed to each other," I say to them laughing.

We laugh and walk to the gym. It's absolutely fucking huge, black and grey walls, but with red and blue accents. Damn, this is really nice. We push through the doors and wait on the sides.

"It's 8:00, where are the leaders?" I ask Finn and Poe.

"There," Poe nods to the three people.

One is a ginger head that looks very pompous. He's dressed in an all-black uniform. I also see a very tall woman as well. Her short blonde hair is slicked back while she is also in an all-black uniform. I start to look at the next man, but I hear a yell.

"Line up! Everyone on the line." I hear a familiar voice.

"We are taking attendance in groups, freshmen in one corner, sophomores in another, and same with the juniors and seniors." The tall woman says. 

I run to the corner dubbed for freshmen. Finn and Poe go to the one for sophomores. I wave at them, and they wave back. I stand there in a corner seeing not many freshmen. I keep to myself and check my surroundings. 

"All of you shut up and listen, I don't have the patience for you freshmeat." I stand down still listening to the leader.

He starts reading off names before coming to mine, "Rey Kenobi."

"Here, sir," I say to this man.

I look up and see this man staring into my face. He stares into my eyes, and I see chocolate brown. You've got to be fucking kidding me.

Oooooo, here's the first chapter of His Subject. I wonder who this man is. Lmao
