I sigh in annoyance and dig up the eleventh crystal and move on to the next one, digging it up, and finding cut remains of a crystal. I blink in confusion. "What...?"

"You made it all the way around, genius." Bill states as he steps over me and walks foreward

I quickly cover the hole and stand, looking at Bill as he storms away angrilly

"Please don't do anything brash!!" Will quickly follows.

"Shut up you paranoid little coward!!" Bill glares. "I've got a score to settle!!"

I quickly run after them as Bill sets the door to the shack on fire, kicks it down, and storms inside, leaving a trail of footprints burned into the ground behind him

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea

Will quickly follows his brother, and I follow the two of them inside.

"Bill?!" Ford ends his conversation with Mabel and stands up. He looks at me. "Dipper, what have you done?!"

"He's made a choice, the right one." Bill glares

Will nervously waves at Mabel and Ford from the sidelines

 "Now..." Bill clears his throat and dives at Ford. "Release my daughter!!" He screams

I quickly pull Mabel out of the way before Bill takes her down with Ford

Bill immediately punches Ford as hard as he can with a fist surrounded with fire

Ford kicks Bill off of him and scrambles to get to the vending machine

"Get back here!!" Bill roars

Ford is quickly pressing the  button that is supposed to put the barrier back up

Bill punches Ford to the ground, and immediately walks to the vending machine

Will walks over to Ford worriedly and gets hit in the face with a shovel that Ford somehow retrieved from under the floorboards 

Will rubs the back of his head

I quickly move to follow the two, but Mabel stops me

"Dipper- hold on.. I think we might've made a mistake!!" Mabel is panicked 

Will quickly follows his hatred-filled brother

"What do you mean??" I blink in confusion. "What mistake could we have possibly made..?"

"While you were gone.. Ford explained why he hates Bill so much." Mabel is urgent

"And..?"

"Dipper- Bill is the reason why we've never met Ford.."

"What?" I blink

"He convinced Ford and his partner to build a portal to get him to go to this dimension... And betrayed him.. But then Stan pushed him into the portal.. But either way Bill was the one who convinced him to build it...."

"That doesn't sound that bad.." I pause 

 "It completely traumatized Ford's partner."  Mabel states

"But Ford trapped Amanda.." I look at the vending machine, which Bill is trying to pry open as Ford repeatedly hits him with the shovel

"Yes.. But I think we should consider a few things before we officially decide." Mabel frowns

"It's a little late for that.." I gesture to the fight

"Maybe it's not to late.."

"Too late to what? Send Bill away and let Ford kill Amanda for revenge?" I glare a bit

"No--- But.... There was a time where Bill was our enemy..." Mabel rubs her arm

"That's not the case anymore.." I point out

"He's destroying Stan's shop!!" The vending machine soars past us and barely misses Will, then smashes through the wall. 

"Yes, but at least he isn't currently trapping our closest friend in a cryogenic chamber!!" I glare

"But he's family!!" Mabel glares

I pause, then look at the empty gift shop room. "Well..." I pause.  "Lesser of two evils." I start to walk to the vending machine door

"Dipper, be reasonable!"

I walk down the stairs and I can hear Mabel following me

"I want to free Amanda too.. But Ford really doesn't seem to be such a bad guy.."

She sees my doubt-filled face and adds: "I talked to him for a while."

"He could've been saying anything to convince you that his actions were right." I look back at her as I walk

"So could Bill.... From all of the stories Ford told me."

"Maybe they were just that... Stories." I point out

"Maybe...." She pauses

I nod

"But if it might be fake... Then it also might be real.." She looks at me

"Yeah.. But it's a fifty-fifty chance.... And I would rather free Amanda personally." 

"That's fair..." Mabel slowly nods

We reach the elevator, but the cables were burned with blue fire, and the elevator was gone

There was a ladder on the opposite wall within the elevator shaft

"Let's go.."

"How are we supposed to get across that...?" Mabel asks.

"We jump." I look back at her. "And catch the ladder."

"Are you crazy?!"

"Maybe.. But there's no way that I'm going to rely on Bill to free Amanda on his own." I take a few steps, then sprints to the opening and pauses, looking down. "Never mind.. There's a ladder on this side too....." I kneel down and start to climb down the second ladder

 Mabel laughs and follows me

As we climb down the ladder, Mabel continues to try and convince me

"I know that he seems mean... And I know that he did a lot of mean things... But he does seem nice.. I promise. He's really not that bad, he thought what he was doing was right, because he was deceived by Bill. He was trying to protect us."

"From Amanda?" My sarcasm is obvious

"It was a misunderstanding.." She looks down at me

"But still.." I land on top of the elevator and climb over the side.

"Can you at least talk to him?"

"It's a little too late for compromise between me and him, don't you think..?"

"No.." She jumps down from the elevator.

"Let's go.." I walk to the smashed-open door by the control panel

Ford is unconscious by the door, and Bill is standing by a shattered and empty cryogenic chamber
