Chapter Twenty Five
As promised, this chapter does have Jake’s P.O.V in it :D But, it starts off as Alex’s, so yeah. I don’t need confused readers! >.<
-Chapter Twenty Five-
I’m so confused right now.
No text messages. No calls. No emails. No anything! Jake hadn’t talked to me at all! It’s been, what, three days now?
Why isn’t he talking to me?
I don’t want to sound like some kind of stalker — or anything along those lines for the matter — but I want to talk to him! I want to see him. I want to get in contact with him in any way possible.
“Are you sure he’s okay?” I asked London for the hundredth time today.
“Yeah, I think I would know. I am his sister, am I not?”
“Hmph. Why hasn’t he been talking to me? Has he been talking to you guys at all?” I asked, looking from Dan to London.
“Nope!” Danielle replied.
“Yeah, kind of,” London said.
“What do you mean by kind of?”
“He’s been talking, but he seems really out of it. I think there’s something wrong with him. . .”
“There is nothing wrong with him! Maybe he’s just as confused as I am?”
“Probably. Want me to try calling him?” London offered.
“Sure.” I nodded my head at her and crossed my legs and sat Indian style.
She fished out her phone from her purse, and began dialing away on the keypad. “Hello?” She paused. “Are you okay, Jake? You’ve seemed out of it lately. Er-no. Really? Should I tell her? Too bad. Okay. . . Yes. I’m at her house right now. Are you sure you’re—”
London stopped talking as she placed her phone face-down on my bed. “He hung up on me.”
“Are you kidding me? This boy doesn’t make any sense!” Dan stated. “First he kisses the girl, then he won’t even talk to her? What is wrong with your family, London?”
“I don’t know. He’s just confused.”
“About?” I drawled.
“You. He doesn’t know what to do right now. . . Or at least that’s what he told me.”
“I have an idea. How about you two go to him, and ask him in person?” I suggested.
“Ask him what?”
“What he thinks of me.”

~ Boo-Bear’s P.O.V ;) ~
I’ve tried anything and everything. Nothing at all could get that one girl off of my mind. You can probably already guess who that one girl is, yeah?
Alex Turner.
Just thinking about her makes me feel all weird inside. It’s peculiar. I thought only girls feel like this.
“Dude. Why are you acting so weird? You keep looking off into space every five minutes,” Mason said, slapping me upside the head.
“Ouch!”
“Sorry.” He smirked at me and took another sip of his coke.
“What do you mean?”
“Sorry for smacking you. . .”
“No, I mean about me being weird or whatever you said.”
“I mean you’re just not acting like yourself. You got killed twenty times. And how many people did you kill? One! And that was the person who is in last place on the other team!” he replied, referring to the game of Medal of Honor I was playing.
I squinted my eyes at the TV. No joke, I was doing horrible. “I don’t care about video games right now.” I turned off the TV. “All I can think about is—”
There was a knock on my bedroom door that stopped me from finishing my sentence.
“You can come in, Mom. What do you need?”
“It’s not Mom. It’s muah!” The door opened, and London walked in. My mood brightened instantly when the thought of Alex following behind her popped into my head. Sadly it was only Danielle.
“Why are you guys here?” I asked.
“We have some questions for—” Danielle stopped mid-sentence as her eyes landed on my shirtless best friend. Her cheeks turned bright red, and she turned away.
“Hey, Danielle,” Mason said, smirking at her.
“Urm, hi.”
I quirked my eyebrow at London. She smiled, and mouthed, “She likes him.”
Whoa, what? Danielle likes Mason? How do they even know each other?
Wait, that’s not what I really care about at the moment.
I shook my head and tried to stay on topic. “Why are you guys here?”
“We need to ask you something. Mason, out,” London ordered.
“But why?” Mason pouted and stood up.
London gave him a flat look. “We need to discuss some private issues with my brother.
He grunted in reply and walked out of the room, bumping shoulders with her. Oh, and don’t forget the wink he sent in Danielle’s direction. This action of his made her cheeks flame again. Girls and their blushing.
London closed the door behind Mason, and turned to me.
“What do you need to ask me?”
“Okay, so first, what’s wrong with you?”
“What do you mean—”
“You kissed Alex, and then you don’t even try talking to her? Not even a single text?”
My eyes went wide, as I stood up from my beanbag chair. “Wait, she told you about the kiss?”
“No dip, Sherlock. I just know because the invisible giant smiley faced milkman came up to me yesterday and told me.”
I gave her a look. “Well, what do you want me to say, London?”
“I want you to tell me why you did that! It’s been three whole days, Jake!” she yelled.
I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. “I don’t know. . . I’m just not used to this kind of stuff, I guess.”
“Jake, you’re speaking in riddles! I don’t know what you’re talking about. What kind of stuff?”
“Feelings. I’m not use to them.”
Danielle gasped from behind London and walked forward. “What kind of feelings?”
“I don’t know! That’s the problem. I’m just so confused. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, guys.”
“Well, Alex doesn’t like it when guys mess with her feelings. I don’t think any girl enjoys that,” London told me.
“I didn’t mean to mess with her feelings. And what feelings?”
“The same feelings that you’re having. We only have one more question for you, Jake.”
Does that mean she feels this way? As in whenever she thinks of me she gets that weird feeling in her stomach? Did she feel this same thing when I kissed her?
“Jake!”
“W-what?”
“You zoned out again.”
“Oh. . . Well what’s your question?”
“Do you like Alex?”
I switched my gaze between the two girls. I know the answer to the question.
It’s the opposite of ‘no’.
“Yes.” It felt so good to get that off of my chest. It was unbelievable, but it felt good knowing that I did in fact like Alex.
Danielle clapped her hands together and smiled brightly, as did London.
“Wait. That’s not all,” Danielle said.
“What else?”
Danielle exchanged a glance with London. London nodded at her, and Danielle continued. “You have to promise me and London something.”
“And that is?”
“You have to promise to never break Alex’s heart.”
I rolled my lips into my mouth and nodded. “Okay. I promise.”

I looked back at my phone again, checking the time. I know what I have to do. I walked to the mirror in my bathroom and made sure I looked okay.
Perfect.
I popped a breath mint into my mouth and headed downstairs.
“Honey, where are you going?” My mother asked from the end of the staircase.
“Oh, nowhere really. Just to go see a friend.” I gave her a smile.
“Okay, don’t come back too late, now.”
“Yes, Mom.” I kissed her cheek and slipped my shoes and jacket on.
I jogged out of the house and to my motorcycle. I revved the engine and took off out of the driveway. I always loved the feeling of the wind blowing through my hair as I rode down the streets.
Yeah, I should be wearing my helmet right now. Oh well. I smirked and pulled to a stop at a red light.
I knew the directions to Vicky’s house by heart now. I’m there almost every day now, aren’t I? Only because of that one girl.
I smiled at the thought of Alex. She’s just so amazing. How come I hadn’t noticed this before? The weird feeling came back to my stomach.
I mentally slapped myself. I have to keep focus. Don’t want to get in accident, now do I? Not after what happened to Ben. . .
God, I miss him.
I mentally slapped myself again. This is not the time for mushy sadness crap. Getting to Alex should be my only priority at the moment.
It really is weird, thinking about her in this way. Everything seems so different now. It makes me seem like some kind of creepy guy who is thinking about his next victim.
I nearly burst into laughter as I thought of an old creepy guy in the back of an ice cream truck.
It feels as if Alex and I were having that conversation last night. It all happened too fast.
I pulled into the all too familiar driveway of Vicky’s house.
My hands started to feel clammy — something that never ever happens to me — as I parked my bike and jogged up to the front door.
I rang the doorbell, and waited impatiently. After what felt like an hour later, Vicky answered the door.
“Hey, Vic. Is Alex here?” I had to get straight to the point. It makes everything faster and easier, right? Well, almost everything.
Vicky smiled at me and replied, “Yeah, she’s up in her room.”
“Kay, bye!”
I zoomed past her and ran down the staircase that led to the basement deciding the elevator would be too slow. A few minutes later, I was at her bedroom door.
I was ready now. I was going to do this right here, right now. Taking in a deep breath, I put my hand on the door handle and opened it.
There she was, lying on her bed, playing on her laptop looking as beautiful as ever.
Hey, guys! What did you all think of that? Give me feedback? Maybe vote if you liked Jake's P.O.V. What do you think will happen in the next chapter? :D Oh, and the next chapter will have Jake's P.O.V too! First comment = Dedication! Oh, and the end is VERY near ;)
