Supply Raid (9)
Timeskip
Your POV

I release a short breath before entering the boat of Jericho, having decided to pay my friends a visit.
To pay my chosen family a visit.
When I reach where the others are, I can hear North's voice as she speaks to someone, who's back is turned to me. She says, "Ah, that must've been YN. He helps any deviant he can to get here and be free."
"Talking about me, are we?" I ask with a smirk, everyone moving to face me.
"YN!"
"Where have ya been?"
"Welcome back, YN!"
"It's great to see you again!"
I'm bombarded by all of their greetings and hugs, smiling at them as I take a step back.
"I've been busy, sorry," I apologize. "You know how my job can be."
They nod.
I look to the new guy, recognizing him, "Oh, hey, newbie! I remember you. Welcome to Jericho!"
"Thanks," he responds with a smile. "I'm Markus."
"YN," I reply with a nod, despite him already knowing my name from North.
We disperse a minute or so later, and I go to hangout with Josh and the boy who's lying on the floor.
Markus walks over and Josh notices, standing up to speak with him. "They threw him out when they didn't want him anymore. He was living on the streets before we brought him here."
"They'll all shut down if we don't find a way to help them..." Markus trails off.
"We need more supplies to save them," I mention, disheartened. "Everyone's too scared to leave Jericho to get them, though."
"To help them we need blue blood and biocomponents," Josh continues. "We salvage what we can from those who shut down...but there's never enough."
"So... How do they survive?"
"They won't. We're slowly dying out," Josh tells him sadly, kneeling down beside me again.
Markus thinks before walking off, going to have conversations with the others.
Time passes and I overhear Markus speaking, "Simon! I know where we can find spare parts. The CyberLife warehouses in Detroit Harbor, they have everything we need."
This peaks my interest and I stand, heading over to them with Josh not too far behind.
"The docks are guarded. We can't just walk in there and take what we want. Humans will never let us," Simon argues.
"Which is why we won't ask permission," Markus states.
"We don't have any weapons. And even if we did, none of us knows how to fight," Josh disputes.
"We can steal what we need without fighting," Markus retorts.
"We'll just get ourselves killed."
"Maybe. But it's better than waiting here to be shut down."
"I'm with you," North agrees.
"Maybe it's worth a try," Simon says optimistically.
"Okay. I'm in," Josh nods.
"You already know I'm down," I tell them when they look at me for an answer.
Timeskip - CyberLife Warehouses
"This is crazy,"Josh comments in a low volume voice. "If they catch us, we're dead."
"What do we do now?" Simon asks, ignoring what Josh said.
"We need to find the CyberLife warehouse. That's where they keep the spare parts and blue blood," Markus answers.
"Follow me," North pitches in, and we do just that.
We dodge the workers, androids and humans alike, as well as their lights and such.
"Watch out!" North whisper-yells, pulling Markus to hide with us behind some crates as a guard passes.
"What do we do now?" I inquire, keeping quiet.
"I'll find another way," she states, leading us off once more.
We begin climbing onto a crate and she hisses, "Markus, climb up here!"
He follows her and she tells us, "The warehouse is up ahead. We're almost there."
We swiftly reach the edge of the crates that we're on top of, crouching down as not to be spotted. Simon points out the obvious, "CyberLife warehouses. They have everything we're looking for."
A drone flies overhead and I mutter to the group, "That drone is a bit of an issue. We need to get rid of it before doing anything else."
"Leave it to me," Markus responds and stands up, turning to our left and planning out how he's going to do this by reconstructing it in his mind.
This only takes less than half a second to compute before he puts it into action.
My eyes stay locked on the drone and I watch as Markus jumps onto it, bringing it down with his weight as he snaps parts of it to break it.
He reaches the ground and lets the broken drone collapse onto the ground, it not being able to capture us on video or call the cops anymore.
I hop down to join Markus with the others, Simon asking, "You okay?"
"Yeah- Yeah, I'm fine."
"Good job, Markus," North mumbles before we all silently rush over to the nearby crates.
"Quick, open up the crates and fill your bags. Take as much as you can," Simon instructs.
"And do it fast," I add, already getting started.
I shove some blue blood and biocomponents into my pack, trying to fill it up as much as possible. I move onto the next one, doing the same with the stuff inside.
We're startled when a work-droid sneaks up on us, stating, "You are trespassing on private property. Your presence constitutes a Level 2 infraction. I will notify security."
"John! Goddamn machine... Where is it this time?" another guard's voice calls out, irritated.
Thinking fast, I grab the work-droid, John, and cover his mouth after spinning him so his back faces me, forcefully pulling him backwards with me to hide behind a crate.
Markus is next to me, the others scattered closely around the vicinity as the guard heads over in our direction. Straight into the circular area where we're all hiding.
"John?"
Markus reveals his android hand and sets it on John's shoulder, whispering to him, "I need your help."
"John?"
He nods to me and I let John go, trusting the newbie. John stands and walks over to the guard, who proclaims, "There you are. What the hell are you doing?"
"I was inspecting the platform. Everything is in order," the work-droid replies, shocking me.
I grin ecstatically and lightly punch Markus on the arm, making sure that it's deadly silent. He refrains from chuckling at this, giving me a proud smile instead.
"Good- then I'm going back to the control station. I'm soaked. Take the drone to maintenance and make a report," the human guard instructs.
"Understood," John states, and the human walks away.
We all step out of hiding and Simon states, "Let's finish up and get out of here. Try to find some blue blood. We still don't have enough!"
Markus goes to climb up onto a platform to reach the bigger crates as the rest of us go back to the regular crates, John keeping watch.
I go up to the work-droid and set a hand on his shoulder so he looks at me. I say gratefully, "Thanks for the cover-up, man."
"It's no problem," he replies with a smile, going back to keeping watch.
I turn around as I hear Markus talking, North now up there with him, "Why aren't you like us? Don't you wanna be free?"
He does what he did to John to the three androids in that big crate, giving them their own free will.
Markus, North and the three new androids join us, Simon stating, "That's all we can carry. Let's go."
"Take me with you," John requests, all of us looking at him.
"He's on their side. We can't trust him," North protests.
"That's unfair," I point out. "He helped us—not ratted us out. They're coming with us back to Jericho."
"He took a risk for us. We can't just leave him here," Josh agrees.
"We can't bring them back with us. It's too dangerous!" Simon objects.
We look to Markus, who makes the final decision. He's basically the leader now, and rightfully so.
"They come with us," he decides, causing Josh and I to smile.
Simon and North aren't too happy about it, but they don't keep up the argument.
"I know where you can find more spare parts," John tells us, glad we're letting them with us.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
