Thinking fast, Connor snatches one from a cop nearby, shooting at the deviant before anyone else could get killed.

"Nice shot, Connor," Hank compliments.

"I wanted it alive," he replies, still staring at the lifeless android.

"You saved human lives... You saved my life. You saved YN's life," Hank argues, causing Connor glance at him.

He then flickers his gaze to me, and I give him a thankful smile as I gently nudge him, heading back to the investigation.

"Did you find anything on the roof?" he asks me as he catches up, Hank also joining us.

"Not much," I shake my head.

We head towards the roof anyway to be sure I didn't miss anything, and I somehow am able to keep my cool the entire time.

I know that Simon can hear us.

"They made their way up through the whole building, past all the guards and jumped off the roof with parachutes. Pretty fucking impressive I'd say," Hank states.

I skim the area, hoping that Simon has his parachute with him. I don't spot the bag anywhere, so I know he does have it.

"I'll check back here, guys," I announce, motioning towards the direction Simon is in.

They nod and I go over.

Simon sees me and ushers me over, him hiding behind a door to a small little room.

"You need to get out of here sooner than we would've liked," I whisper swiftly to him, glancing around frequently. "If you go when I give you the signal, you should be safe. From my partners, at least. When you reach the ground, you'll have to book it as fast as you can. You up for that?"

Simon nods, "Yeah- yeah, I got it. What's the signal?"

"I'll look at you and give a slight nod," I explain, backing up. "Go over there and watch for me."

He does as told and I stand in the passageway beside the door where I first when back to get to Simon. I say to the guys, "It's all clear over here."

They nod again, Hank telling me, "Nothing for us either, so far."

Once I find the right opportunity, I glance back over at Simon and nod. He leaps off the side of the building, and I'm left praying for his survival.

I walk to my partners, humming in response.

"I guess this investigation's over," Hank adds, Connor nodding.

"Let's get out of here."

Timeskip

I'm currently laying on Hank's couch, just relaxing when Sumo jumps up with me. Everything's fine until he lays on my stomach, crushing me.

"Oh- ho- ho," I laugh out, "Sumo, I don't know if this is such a good idea—"

Hank's laughter echoes as he enters, "Looks like you're his pillow now."

"Apparently so," I reply, struggling to catch a breath from under Sumo's weight. "I can hardly breathe..."

"Alright, Sumo, get off of YN."

Sumo listens and sits on the floor instead, allowing me to inhale oxygen once again.

"I'm alive!" I proclaim as I sit up, stretching out and emphasizing the word 'alive' to be dramatic. "Woo! That was painful."

Connor enters, "What was painful?"

"Sumo was sittin' on top of YN," Hank explains, sitting down on the opposite end of the couch.

We're all just hanging out after our assignment. I'm pretty sure that Connor just stays with Hank all the time, though.

Speaking of which, said RK800 chuckles as he sits beside me, in between Hank and I. "That just means he likes you."

"Are you sure about that?" I counteract jokingly. "'Cause it sure felt like he was trying to suffocate me."

He shakes his head in amusement, gently whacking me with his hand in a playful manner. I smile and smack him back, also not very hard.

"He does that to me all the time," Hank comments, sipping his alcohol. "Hasn't killed me yet."

I laugh, covering my mouth as I pull up my knees automatically. "The way you said that was just- it was priceless!"

He chuckles at that, as does Connor.

We spend the night just talking and watching random shit on the TV, enjoying ourselves.

It's also nice to see that Hank is actually warming up to an android.

That's progress.
