CHLOE snatched her cherry juice box and popped a straw through.

She sipped and sipped; cherry was her favorite flavor. Chloe then reached for some more rainbow goldfish. Another favorite of hers.

Gavin, her 11-year-old brother, broke the silence, "Hey, you guys want to watch a movie? Since mom is working late again, it can be a scary movie. She has a bunch of old movie tapes in a box downstairs."

Chloe's little brother, PJ, rose holding his stuffed purple monkey. "No. I don't wanna! It's scary!" he whined.

Gavin chuckled, "It's okay. You have Milo the monkey to protect you."

PJ squeezed Milo tight, "Okie!"

"Chloe? You want to watch?" Gavin turned towards his 9-year-old sister.

Chloe shrugged. She didn't care whether she watched it or not. She just wanted to keep eating her lunch.

She took one more sip of her cherry juice box and crushed it in her hands. The box flew into the trash with one swift motion.

"Popcorn, anyone?" Gavin asked returning from the basement with a movie tape in his hand.

Chloe nodded. She preferred to be silent. Her forms of communication were very simple.

Gavin strolled over to the T.V. and inserted the movie tape.

In the kitchen, he unwrapped the popcorn bag and tossed it in the microwave. He then tapped the popcorn setting on the microwave and waited.

PJ strolled over to the microwave. He was ready for the popcorn dance. It was a silly game they played while passing the time until the popcorn was finished.

Pop. Pop. Pop.

With each pop sound, the three siblings changed poses. It was like a game of freeze dance, but with stances instead.

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

PJ giggled as he held Milo upside down with his arms to the side.

After the game was done, Gavin collected 3 bowls and poured the buttery popcorn into each. Little did Chloe and PJ know, Gavin poured the most popcorn in his bowl.

And with a click of a button, the kids munched away and the movie began.
