twenty
jimin could only pull his legs to his chest and lean back on the couch, fiddling and uncomfortable as he tries all his might to keep his eyes on the television, ignoring the fox and rabbit hybrid's wild make out session by the kitchen counter.
it's already past six in the evening and still jungkook is nowhere to be found. but instead of crying like the last time, jimin waited. he knows jungkook is still at work since he called yoongi a few minutes ago that his shift is prolonged, something about covering for someone else's shift.
"chubs—" the male protagonist of the drama in the television says, and jimin honestly have no clue what the fuck is going on, having a hard time picking up the plot of the story.
he sighed, glancing up at the wall clock for like the umpteenth time tonight before pouting as he hears nothing other than the soft moans and groans of pleasure emitting from both hoseok and yoongi.
"geuki~" he whispers, gaze now directed at the two, wanting nothing but to feel jungkook's lips and his hands on his hips. sure he have no idea as to what those actions meant but he liked the feeling. he liked the feeling of being touched by jungkook, of being kissed and sent to oblivion.
he watched as the fox pulled hoseok's legs closer, the rabbit's head thrown back as he moans when yoongi leaned down to trail kisses along hoseok's jaw to his collarbones, a few breathy moans emitting from both their lips.
jimin could only pout as he watches the two hybrids being all touchy and sexual with each other, hoping nothing but to speed time so he could finally be with his human. he misses jungkook already. it's been only approximately six hours since the boy left him in both hoseok and yoongi's care but to say jimin was craving for jungkook's hazel orbs was a total understatement.
and seeing hoseok and yoongi being all lovey-dovey with each other didn't help either. just watching them just takes him back to the heated moments he had with jungkook. the way his lips felt so good and perfect against his; his contagious bunny smile that jimin could never get enough of; his voice as he whispers sweet nothings in his ears, filling his heart with such delight and euphoric.
with one last sigh, jimin pushed himself off the couch and slowly made his way to the couple, his hands safely by his side and his head hang low as he entered the kitchen, tugging on yoongi's sleeves.
"mhm, i-i'm busy jimin." yoongi moaned, attacking hoseok's lips senselessly, his hand tight against the rabbit's newly dyed blonde hair as he tilted his head from side to side to be able to get a better angle.
"j-jimin talk to kookie..." he mumbles, pouting as he reached to tug the ends of hoseok's shirt.
"y-yeah...later." hoseok moans, pulling yoongi closer until they were chest to chest.
jimin could only stand there, close to tears as he tries to tug yoongi's sleeves once more. "j-jimin talk to kookie~" he trails off, his vision slightly blurring as tears began clouding in his eyes.
this didn't go unseen by yoongi, sighing as he gently pushed hoseok away and fumbled something in his pocket, retrieving a rectangular device which jimin assumes as a cellular phone, remembering quite clearly the magical thing that once startled jimin when it blared so loudly that had the dog screaming and crying so early in the morning.
the dog shudders at the memory, the clear disgust gracing his features as his gaze locks on the small device in yoongi's hand. he watches as yoongi typed and scrolled something in the magical thingy before handing it to him with jungkook's whole name flashing on the screen, along with options that jimin has no clue which purpose each bears.
he reluctantly reached for the device, hesitation painted in his face which earned a chuckle from the fox. "it's harmless, jimin." he hears yoongi say before he felt a hand on his head, messing it as yoongi smirks, beckoning something to hoseok that made him jump off the kitchen counter and trailed after yoongi, but not before giving jimin the brightest smile he could muster.
"yoongi?" jungkook's voice blared from the small device, causing jimin to jolt in surprise, knocking some chair down. "h-hey, are you okay? what is happening?"
"k-kookie..." jimin sobs, too sensitive and much of a crybaby to bear the slight pain caused by falling on the floor.
"jimin?" he hears jungkook asks unsure on the other line. and as cheesy as it may sound, jimin was more than grateful to hear such lullaby; and even after months of living with his human, jimin still couldn't help but feel his heart thumping rapidly even by just hearing jungkook's majestic voice.
"j-jimin misses kookie," the dog honestly confesses, pouting as he bends his knees over to his chest, leaning back in the wall behind him. "jimin want kisses too..." he quietly mumbles, the image of hoseok and yoongi kissing earlier, invading his mind.
"– oh baby, if only i could, i would." he hears jungkook sighs on the other line, causing him to silently let out a breath as well, his pout deepening and tears cascading down his eyes one by one. "work's being a bitch, baby. i'm in the gas station right now and jaebum's being his usual bastard self. he keeps glaring at me, it's creeping me out." jungkook chuckles, putting a small smile on the dog's lips as he recalls jungkook's constant blabbering every night about his co-worker in the gas station.
"anyways, how are you? is that asshole fox taking good care of you?"
"i fucking heard that you dimwit!" yoongi's voice blares from the living room, senses sharp all thanks to being partly a fox.
jungkook chuckled from the other line, his voice serene and music to the dog's ears as unconsciously, jimin's lips slowly formed into a small smile, lulled by his human's great and mesmerising voice.
"we are not paid to fool around and flirt on the phone, jeon. so i suggest you fucking get back to work." an unfamiliar voice spoke, cutting jungkook off from his momentarily amusement and snapping jimin off from his reverie.
jimin frowned at the unusual way the owner of the voice is speaking. he knew it wasn't jungkook since his human's voice is sweet and full of gentleness while the voice was nothing but harsh and rude. besides, instead of feeling butterflies all over his insides, jimin felt the complete opposite. rather, he felt like clawing the owner of the voice with his still growing milky fangs.
he hears jungkook groan, annoyance and irritation radiating from his voice before he sighs for the second time. "well, that's the bastard calling. i need to get back to work not, minie. but i'll call when i reach my third and last job for tonight, okay? eat your dinner. i'll be there before you even realise it."
"— but hurry, okay?" jimin croaks, the pout back in his lips once again. "jiminie miss kookie so bad." he tells him.
"i miss you too, jimin. eat well, okay?" he hears him whisper. "i'll give you one extreme kiss when i get back. i promise." and that was the last thing the dog heard before he line went off, leaving jimin blue and full of longing.
"okay, get up." it was hoseok, a grin on his face as he helps the dog get back up on his feet before doing the same thing for the chairs as well, beckoning jimin to sit on one of the empty chairs. "would you like seafoods for dinner, jimin?" he hears hoseok asks, earning nothing but silence from the said man, because what the fuck is a seafood?
"he's a dog, hobi." yoongi's voice rang from the door, "— so no shrimps for him."
"got it," hoseok beams, reaching to ruffle jimin's hair before scurrying to take the pans out and ingredients he needed to make dinner.
after their brief dinner, yoongi sent both hoseok and jimin to the living room as he stayed back in the kitchen to wash the dishes. jimin glanced up to the wall clock to check the time, his chest heavy as he sees the clock struck ten-thirty, yet still no signs of jungkook nor even his shadow.
it wrecked him even more when the door bursted open and revealed a tired and exhausted taehyung, who was immediately enveloped into a warm hug by hoseok. he watched with a pout as yoongi erupted from the kitchen as he sauntered off give taehyung's forehead a comforting peck, earning a soft smile from the human as he pulls each on of them to peck each of their cheeks.
"hey, jimin." taehyung smiles when their eyes met, walking past his hybrids as he walks toward the pouting dog, ruffling his hair. "kook hasn't come back from work yet?"
jimin could only shake his head no, his heart heavy and his eyes clouded with tears, mind wandering to such unlikely thoughts. this didn't go unnoticed by the human, his body tensing when he was pulled into a brief hug by taehyung. "maybe he got caught up by work." taehyung whispers, his voice serene and full of comfort. but for some reasons, jimin feels even worried than before.
what if jungkook decided he was way too boring and too much of a crybaby that he plans to abandon him? — that he's too fat and ugly for jungkook's comfort.
what if jungkook realised that he could never love jimin back at all?
such dark and painful thoughts invaded the dog's mind, his heart pleading and crying for it to stop. and before he knows it, he was once again crying in vain. heartbroken and afraid. he didn't want jungkook to abandon him at all. he loves him with all his heart.
he's been a really good hybrid just so he could avoid being brought back to the sanctuary and watch as people ogle at him but always move to the other hybrid because as much as jimin hates to admit it, hybrid's are used only as human's sex toys. and jimin just so happened to be too innocent, pure and angelic for people to even picture him in such a state.
and jimin is so sick of being locked up in a cell, hoping, wishing and waiting to be bought.
he's so damn tired of being alone.
—and he fact that jungkook never wanted him in the first place was what fucked his heart and mind the most.
because even in just a short span of time, jimin loves jungkook beyond reason, beyond doubt, and with no hope of salvation.
