Chapter 8

"Avery we're here." I said, unbuckling my seat belt turning off the car and looking back at her. Avery unbuckled herself from the car and got out. I got out of the car and opened the trunk. I got mine and Avery's suitcases and headed towards the front door. I put the key in the lock unlocking the door and opened the door. Avery ran inside and made her way inside. I smiled before feeling my phone vibrate several times.
I got it out and I saw Twitter was blowing up. I brought the bags in and shut the door before unlocking my phone. Once I unlocked it, I saw that Stephanie had told everyone in the WWE Universe that I was going to be out for a while due to Baron's actions. I pulled up the camera on my phone and hit the record button. "Hello WWE Universe I wanted to let you guys know that I am not going to be on Raw for a few weeks due to getting a concussion last night, but I am sure the Stephanie will do great. To be honest though it's nice to not be traveling from place to place for a while. I get to spend time with my daughter. Anyways, I hope y'all have a nice day." I said, waving at my phone hitting the end button.
I got on Twitter and tweeted it out. I put my phone away and grabbed mine and Avery's suitcases and took them upstairs. I got to Avery's room and she was out on her bed. I smiled, walking over to Avery tucking her in and kissed her forehead before putting her stuff away quietly. After I finished with putting her stuff away I walked into my bedroom. I put my stuff away and my phone began going off. I took it out and saw I was getting an incoming call from Jon.
I swiped over and answered it. "Hello?" I asked. "How was the trip?" Jon asked. "It was fine. Avery slept most of it before starting to ask me questions." I said. "Well, I asked Steph and she gave me some time off." Jon said. "How come?" I asked.
"I wanted to come down and spend time with my daughter." Jon said. "Oh. What about Renee?" I asked. "I don't need to worry about her anymore. If she doesn't want me to spend time with my daughter, I don't need her." Jon said. "So in other words she broke up with you because you thought it was funny for our daughter telling her the truth." I said biting my lip to try and keep in my laughter. "Yes and no. We got into an argument after you left and let's just say she walked out on me." Jon said.
"Well, I mean I guess you could come down to Indiana. It'd be nice for Avery to spend some more time with her father." I said. "Alright, so do you live in the same house or no?" Jon asked. "No, I moved out of that house about a year after you left." I said. "Alright. I'll text you when I'm in Indiana." Jon said. "Alright." I said, hanging up.
I threw my phone on the bed and walked out of my room, heading downstairs to the kitchen. When I got to the kitchen I went to the liquor cabinet and looked for my red wine. Once I found it, I grabbed it and then looked in the cabinet above me and grabbed a wine glass. I opened the red wine and poured it into the glass. I took a gulp and smiled. I put the wine glass down turned around and looked around. I turned back around finishing off my glass of wine before putting the cork back in the wine and put it back in the wine cabinet.

I put the last of the groceries away. I went upstairs and check to see if Avery was still asleep. Sure enough, she was. I took my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. It was about dinner time. I went back downstairs and made Avery's favorite, spaghetti.

I put out the plates and I heard footsteps coming from the stairs. "I smelled food." Avery said. "Indeed you did. I made your favorite." I said. Avery smiled and sat down. "What do you want to drink?" I asked, walking towards the kitchen. "Milk." Avery said. I smiled.
I got out two glasses when I felt my phone go off. I took out my phone and saw I had a text message from Jon. I quickly texted Jon my address. I put my phone away and got the milk out of the fridge. I poured milk into the glasses and took them to the table. I quickly brought the pot of spaghetti to the table and placed it down on an oven mitt. Avery got up putting all she wanted on her plate before sitting down.
"Mom, can you get me the parmesan?" Avery asked. I nodded, walking into the kitchen I opened the fridge, grabbing the parmesan before walking back into the dining room handing it to Avery. "Thanks mom." Avery said. I nodded, grabbing myself some food.
Spaghetti sounds good right now. Food in general sounds good right now. Am I right?
