Here's a quick sample to a book I'm working on! Should I just give up on it?

Arigato!" Kyoto cheered with a sigh of satisfaction. She leaned onto a tree, slouching.
Aiko giggled at her friend. "There's no need to say thank you Kyoto-Chan!" She said, bright and happy as usual. "It's just lunch as always."
"Ah, that's where you're wrong," Kyoto sat up. "It's good lunch!" Her hand seemed to point that out as well as she said so, a happy smile plastered on her face.
Aiko giggled again. "It wasn't THAT good Kyoto." She replied, still smiling. The two always seemed to be smiling around eachother. It was quite obvious they were best friends because of that.
"Yes it was!" Kyoto argued.
Aiko sighed in a somewhat playful matter. "I'm not gonna argue. You know I dislike arguments." She said.
Kyoto laughed lightly.
She smiled once more. "So where do you wanna go next?"
The two sat in a park on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to just relax. However, life had other plans.
"You choose!"
"Hmm...how about that new café that opened up" Aiko suggested.
"Oh yeah! I forgot about that..." Kyoto rolled laid down on her stomach. "Sure...after...just...after little nap..." The girl yawned and closed her eyes. She soon enough began softly snoring."
Aiko laughed lightly at her friend as she usually did.
Kyoto Suzuki, she was the best friend of Aiko Yoshida. She was kind, caring, overprotective, smart, and surly talented along with her good sense of humor. She was the perfect best friend for Aiko being so overprotective and such or in some people's case, 'motherly' Or 'like an older sibling.'
And there was Aiko Yoshida. The sweetest girl you can find out there as well as the kindest. She's innocent and adorable. Well at least as long as your on her good side. Aiko is the perfect housewife, friend, daughter, so on. She was quite shy and self-conscious though.
There was a rustling of the grass, like someone was near.
"Huh?" Aiko softly said, turning around.
It was Akihiko Ishikawa. The cliche popular guy. He was nice, funny, muscular, and could make any girl swoon, or at the very least, blush. He was also very overprotective. All in all, he was perfect boyfriend material. But he was still yet somehow single.
"Aiko! Hey!" Akihiko yelled, waving. He looked at her from the base of the small hill the two girls were on.
"A-Akihiko-Kun!" She stuttered, just loud enough for the boy to hear. "What are you doing here?" The girl had a slight blush. She had liked Akihiko for a while now, ever since the first year of Junior High which was when she first met him, though he was already in his second year, being older.
"Just taking a stroll with Masahiko here." He said, looking behind him. Behind Akihiko was an attractive boy, seeming to be about 15. He held a book in his hand, reading while walking. "Hurry up!" Akihiko ushered. The boy sighed, quickening his pace a little, his book now down. He was not too muscular, but not too bony. His features made him look like one of the guys that would star in a magazine. Well, scratch that, he IS one of the guys that have been on there.
Masahiko Tanaka was Sakura Academy's most popular guy. He was quite and slightly cold and distant, but once you got to know him, he was a nice guy, both kind and caring. He was smart and handsome, and everything else you could dream of. Well, everything besides having a good family history.
"What? It's just those girls again...what was it? Aiko...?" He questioned Akihiko, glancing at Aiko as he spoke.
"Y-Yes!" She confirmed.
Masahiko nodded before noticing Kyoto's sleeping figure.
"And...Kyoto...?"
Aiko nodded in response.
"Alright. Now that I've told you why we're here, tell us why such a pretty lady like you is doing here." He said with that same old grin he always had when complimenting a girl.
Aiko could feel her face turn a million shades of red as he said this. "W-What do you mean 'pretty little girl?!'" She exclaimed, now flustered.
Akihiko laughed before getting a jab in the rib by the other boy. It wasn't anything unusual though, the two being just as good of friends as Aiko and Kyoto.
"It's not very polite to purposly make someone embarrassed." Masahiko said, having resumed to his reading reading.
"Eh? Still reading that book?" Akihiko had a confused look that explained what he was thinking. 'How could somebody ever read so much?'
Masahiko just sighed and gave another nod.
Kyoto stirred, her eyes cracking open. "What's all this commotion about...?" Her gaze was still hazy, not being able to recognize the two boys. By the time her vision cleared up she finally recognized them. "W-WHA?! A-Akihiko-Kun?! Masahiko...No he's just a plain old Baka." She mumbled the last part.
"I hear you!" He pointed out.
"Well yeah you do have ears!" She shot back, sticking out her tounge like a 5-Year old.
Masahiko cracked a smile, quickly covering it with his book.
It wasn't quick enough for Akihiko though of course. "Huh? Are you SMILING?" He had a playful grin, and at that moment, Masahiko knew, his friend would never let him live this down. "Not so stoney faced today I guess!"
Masahiko groaned and buried his face in his book from embarrassment of both his friend and his smile, which he still had.
The two girls laughed. "Well then...we're off to the café now." Kyoto said, getting up and brushing off the bottom of her little dress.
"That new one that opened up?" Masahiko peeked out of his book to say so.
She nodded in response. "Wanna join us?"
"N-" He started saying, before getting interrupted by Akihiko. "What Masahiko here means is, why of course!"
"No I didn't..." He mumbled in frustration, looking away.
"Shhhhh, I need food. You can complain later." Akihiko mumbled unsuccessfully, for it was plenty loud enough for everybody to hear, not just Masahiko.
Aiko giggled. "A-Alright then, come on." She said, getting up and walking away, picnic basket in hand.
"Hey! Wait up!" Kyoto yelled after her, running behind. The only thing quite feminine about her was her sense of style. Her personality and the way she acted however clashed with the cute little dresses and kitties onsies, but it made her a cute yet confusing bundle anyways.
Akihiko chuckled before beginning to go after them, while Masahiko was still casually reading as he followed the three, somehow not bumping into anyone or anything.
The group made their way to the café, chatting a bit as they walked.
Aiko giggled happily while looking around. It was furnished simply yet adorably. The table-tops were covered with a white cloth. Each table had a small vase of flowers to add a little color.
The counter was simple, like the typical café counter you would imagine. Cakes and sweets lined the displays in an orderly fashion. Not one cake was out of place, nor was one sweet. It was all organized. On top of the counter was one of those fortune cats, a collection of yen, dimes, pennies, or overall coins, stashed by its base.
The best part of the café, however, was the ceiling. It wasn't just a ceiling, it was more or so a night sky filled with twinkling dots. The stars made everything seem to shimmer and glow.
The café sure had a good reason to be called the Galaxy Café, not only just because of the little designs they put on their expensive lattes and baked goods.
The group went up to the counter, ordering some cake for each of them along with a drink
Akihiko smiled happily like a little kid once he got his cake. "Geez, it's just cake, calm down!" Kyoto said, laughing.
"It's food. I need food. I haven't eaten anything at all today!" Akihiko complained.
Kyoto giggled at his childish reaction. "I'm sure you could live." She said.
The four got tables. Kyoto insisted that Aiko sat next to Akihiko, knowing how she felt for him. After all, she did ship them together quite hard.
Kyoto sat across from Aiko, and Akihiko sat across from Masahiko.
Kyoto glanced over at Masahiko. "What are you reading?" She asked him.
"A book." He replied.
"I can see that, I have eyes you know!" She said, rolling her eyes. "I mean, what is it called?"
"H20." He said.
"Never heard of it before."
"It's not very popular, but it is a good book." His gaze was still fixated in the words.
"What's it about?"
"Water ending up killing people is a pretty good summary of it. It's imported from America. My uncle gave me it as a present."
"Seems interesting..." Kyoto peeked over his should to get a glance of it.
"Oooo. It is interesting."
He nodded, before noticing her position. Masahiko slammed the book shut, careful not to lose his page. Kyoto jumped back with a squeak.
"Ever heard of personal space?" He asked her, his voice cold. His cheeks said different though. He had a slight blush from how close they were. And this time he didn't have his book to use as a shield.
Kyoto opened her mouth to say something before noticing his blush. She giggled. "Aww, did I make you blush? Not so stoney faced today eh?"
"I've been getting that a lot..." He mumbled, looking away.
Aiko and Akihiko laughed lightly at the two. "That's so Kawaii!" The two said in unison. They looked at eachother and laughed again, Aiko having a slight blush.
Akihiko seemed to always be able to make her laugh, and Aiko seemed to always make him brighter.
Kyoto's face turned red. "K-Kawaii?! B-Baka!" She yelled, covering her face in her hands.
It was now Masahiko's turn to laugh at her. She punched him lightly in the arm, still blushing. He rubbed his arm, still laughing, the blush remaining on his cheeks.
"Just like a couple~" Aiko pointed out.
Kyoto still blushed furiously, having always been easy to embarrass. Masahiko decided to tease her some more. He removed her hands from her face.
"Oh how adorable~" He cooed playfully. She blushed even more now, if that was even humanly possible.
"B-Baka! I thought you were on my side!"
They three continued laughing at Kyoto.
Akihiko turned to Aiko. He smiled, looking at her laughing. In his eyes she was an angel, but in her's it was the complete different...
And then there was Kyoto that thought of her as the food fairy.
Eventually, they were all finished with their cakes, ending up just chatting a little before leaving.
"So what now?"Akihiko asked, his hands in his pockets.
"We were planning on just shopping and talking after this," Aiko answered, "but I doubt you two boys would want to come..."
"Nah, I have been meaning to get my sister a present for her birthday anyways, so you two could help me pick out a doll or something. Last time I got her a present..." He seemed to wince at the memory, "Let's just day the outcome was NOT pretty." Everybody laughed.
"Alright then! Maybe we could even dress you two up!" Kyoto joked with a smug grin on her face.
Masahiko, who was still reading, perked up hearing this. "NO!" He yelled.
She winced at his tone, "Geez it was just a joke Masahiko~Kun..." He gave her an apologetic look, "Gomen..." He said sheepishly before diving back into the book
