The five friends made their way out of the ship - Chopper stayed with the Ghost took watch over it; Ezra's eyes scanned everything they passed with amazement which made all four adults share a happy smile. They were more then pleased that Ezra seemed impressed with his new home. They entered the temple and were greeted by many clones, Jedi's and younglings, although most sent the new teenager a strange look as no one recognized him; it was unsettling but Kanan just told him to ignore the looks. Eventually, they arrived out side of two large doors which is when Anakin turned towards the fifteen year old "we're going to talk to the Jedi Council while you wait out here" he explained, followed by Kanan "then I'll come get you to begin introductions" Ezra nodded before sitting down upon a near by seat "I'll wait here then". 

The adults entered the room and were soon stood in front of the Council; they were greeted and praised on a job well done. "News you bring, I sense" Master Yoda spoke up earning some nods "yes Master, when we were looking around on our first day of being on Lothal, we...met someone, a young boy who helped us during a terrible storm" Kenobi explained "he let us stay at his...home during the storms and supplied us with food...but" his once Padawan continued the sentence as he couldn't think of the correct words "the way this kid lives isn't like any other, he...he doesn't even live!! But survives!!" he explained with a sigh "his 'home' was an old Imperial communication tower". Hearing this clearly startled and shocked the entire Council as Hera took over "he lived on the streets since he was four years old and he's now fifteen!! His parents...they were taken and killed by the Empire and no one took him in...he was forced to grow up so fast and learn things no child should" she fought her emotions to stay in check during this time.

All of the high Jedi's were deep in thought. "We brought the kid with us because...we believe he is force sensitive and is strong with it too" Kenobi finished before Yoda spoke once again "Quiet you are Kanan, why I ask??" all eyes turned to the Jedi Knight "he's definitely strong with the force, I could sense it when we first arrived at his tower but it was strong" there was something else "he...he said I was the only one who gave him a headache due to the force, not Anakin or Kenobi". All eyes widened momentarily with shock "meet this boy we shall" Yoda stated "get him, you will" Kanan nodded before leaving the room to do as ordered; he noticed Ezra was still sat where he was last seen but as the man approached him, he could hear the teen silently singing. 

"Hey kid, ready to meet some of the highest Jedi Masters??" Kanan asked earning a small smile "geez, if I wasn't already nervous, I am now" he half joked as he stood up "is that why you were singing??" the man asked with a smirk; Ezra's cheeks turned a light shade of pick "yeah, I sometimes sing due to being nervous....sometimes I don't even know I'm doing it" they both chuckled at them. The two entered the room and stood in front of the Jedi next to Hera; Kanan kept one hand on the boys shoulder in a form of comfort - it helped a lot. "Master's, this is Ezra Bridger, the young boy we've been telling you about" Kanan introduced "Ezra, these are some of the highest Jedi Master's you'll probably ever meet: Master Mace Windu, Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, Master Deba Billaba, Master Plo Koon, Master Yoda, Master Qui-Gon Jinn,  Master Anakin Skywalker and Master Obi-Wan Kenobi" the Jedi Knight finished "but you already know the last two". (I know some aren't actually in the Jedi Council or even alive but this is the world of fan fiction and anything is possible).

"Nice to meet you, it is" Master Yoda smiled "want to know more about you, we all do" Ezra returned the kind gesture to show his respect "likewise Master, and what would you like to know??" he asked, happy to answer their questions. "Why don't you tell us about where you are from?? And what your lift is like??" Master Windu suggested earning a nod; they all sat as the fifteen year old began "I have lived on an outer rim planet called Lothal all of my life, a place that was once under the strict control of the Empire...still is to an extent" he sighed "I've lived on my own since I was four years old due to...due to my parents being taken and killed right in front of me" some eyes widened with horror "my parents always told me to help and fight for those who can't help themselves...so that's what I do, well what I try to do at least...I've had to survive on my own ever since". 

All of the women were close to tears from the horrible past they were just informed of; none of them knew anyone that was forced to live a life like that but still gave everything they had to other's in need. Master Deba decided to attempt to try to sense the young boy's force signature...but couldn't find or feel it?? She voiced this and so all of the Master's did the same thing "the kid's mental shield is up way too high" Master Jinn stated, followed by Yoda "help him take it down, we must" they all agreed, confusing the teen greatly as he still didn't understand what this 'mental shield' was. Kanan stepped up this time and turned towards his young friend. 

"Okay Ezra, I need you to focus okay??" the teen nodded "I want you to focus on letting your guard down, removed your mask" Ezra's eyes widened as he stepped back "let my guard down?! N..No!!" he exclaimed "I...I can't-" he was cut off by the Jedi Knight "yes you can Ezra, you have nothing to fear here" Kanan promised "let your guard down...trust us Ezra" the boy was still unsure "trust me". Taking a deep breathe, Ezra nodded "okay" and then closed his eyes to concentrate; they all watched before all of a sudden every Jedi in the room were forced to take a step back as the force practically exploded from the kid. They were all shocked by the strength they were now sensing, as well as feeling. "Whoa" was all most could say until they regained their balance "strong with the force, you are" Yoda stated with a fond smile "be trained, you must, but find a master for you, difficult". 

After this, the Council allowed Kanan, Hera and Ezra to leave as they wanted to discuss many things to do with the new youngling; the two adults led the teen to the room that had been quickly prepared for him. Ezra instantly loved the room of course; there was a single bed, a small set of draws, a mirror hung up on the wall, a larger set of draws, a wardrobe, a window which held an incredible view and a door which led to a small bathroom. "What do you think??" Hera asked as she and Kanan watched the teen look around "it..it's amazing!! I love it!!" he exclaimed, actually struggling to find the words "good, our room in just across the hall if you need us" Kanan stated "get some rest kid". The three said their goodbye before the door closed behind them; Ezra locked the door before unpacking the small amount of things he owned. Soon enough, the fifteen year old lay down and was fast asleep within minutes; today had been a tiring day. 

Kanan and Hera had entered their own room and took turns to use their bathroom, taking a nice warm and wanted shower before changing into their night clothes and lying down. Instead of falling asleep immediately, the two spoke about their new friend: how brave he was, as well as strong, sweet but as well as alone "he has us now though". Within two hours, they were both sleep, wrapped up in the others arms. (By the way, the rule for Jedi saying they're not allowed to fall in love or make any connections changed long ago). Back in with the Council, they were still discussing who was was become Ezra's Jedi Master; Qui-Gon Jinn suddenly had an idea hit him like a ton of bricks "what about Kanan??" he suggested, stopping anyone who was talking. "It seemed he and Ezra had a forming bond already, he did help the youngling to take down his mental shield and it seems Ezra trusts him" they agreed on that as Master Deba beamed with pride for her once Padawan "I think that's an excellent idea!! Kanan is more than ready to take on a Padawan". Master Yoda agreed also, as did everyone else "decided, it is" he stated "Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus be Ezra's Master, he will...if he accepts".
