Chapter 2

Author Note: Song Prompt for this chapter - Let's Go Crazy performed by Prince & The Revolution

Rick:

Rick weaved a nervous hand through his hair, while the other tugged on the collar of his shirt. It felt like he was choking. His eyes darted to the bathroom door of his motel room for the hundredth time.

Why the fuck did he bring her here?

How the fuck had things escalated to the point that she was here?

He shook his head and turned away, heading to the window. It was just after the fourth round of drinks at the bar that their mutual attraction could no longer be suppressed. How he had managed to exit the bar and make it to the motel without ravaging her was still a feat he prided himself on. But now the doubts were gnawing at his heels.

He hadn't been with a woman in months. He frowned. Sarah was gorgeous, and the raw sexuality she embodied had immediately sparked an excitement he hadn't felt for a long time.

His hand moved down, covering his length bulging in his suit pants. He wanted her.

*

Sarah:

The reflection staring back at the woman in front of the mirror portrayed every bit the flushed, alcohol-induced state of mind she was in. Sarah removed her suit jacket, dropping it to the floor. She knew that the moment she entered the motel room, the night would end one way or another.

Was she crazy? Jumping into a stranger's bed was not something she did. Ever. But there was something about Rick that had drawn her to him like a magnet. Dancing with him had been impulsive, and it had awoken a deep, forgotten part of herself.

She inhaled a breath, her hands smoothing down her blouse. She couldn't remember the last time a man had looked at her the way Rick did. Her excitement, however, was overshadowed by uncertainty and nervousness.

Rick:

The bathroom door opened, and he turned. The room was dark, and the bathroom light outlined her silhouette. He swallowed, his bulge pulsing as he realized she was completely naked.

"I-I should probably," he started for the bed, tugging on the buttons of his shirt.

"Let me," she said, and he froze with his shirt halfway down his arms. She moved silently, flicking off the bathroom light. His eyes adjusted to the dark room as he followed her around the bed towards him.

Her hands slid down his arms, relieving him of his shirt, before they found his chest, gliding down to the fastening of his pants.

"Wait," he breathed and almost instantly regretted it. Her body hunched, and her hands fell away. "I-I just mean, I, uh, are you sure you want to do this? With me?"

*

Sarah:

Sarah frowned, then smiled. He wasn't rejecting her.

"It's just been a while, and-and I'm a bit rusty..." she heard him continue, and her smile widened.

"Rick, it's been a while for me, too."

"Really?"

"Yes." Her hands returned to the pants fastenings, and this time, he did not stop her. His pants fell to the ground, quickly followed by his underwear.

He chuckled. "Good thing I didn't wear the boxers my sister bought me for Christmas."

"Oh? Little hearts or frogs?"

His chuckle deepened, and then he gasped as her hands returned to his body.

"C-cats actually," he whispered, and she felt his body stiffen as his length dug into her stomach as she pressed her body up against his.

"Kiss me, Rick."

Before he could hesitate or refuse, she cupped his face and kissed him.

Rick:

"That was amazing," Rick mused dazedly, stretching in the aftermath of what could only be described as the best sex he had ever had. Sarah was cuddled into his side, one arm flung over his chest, with a hand exploring the muscled skin of his shoulder.

"It was," she agreed, and he knew she was smiling.

He chuckled. "When you had said Let's go crazy, I didn't think we would end up almost breaking the bed."

His body vibrated as she giggled. It had taken them a while to become confident and start enjoying the situation, from nervous fumbling hands to bold, passionate moves that had left them breathless.

He yawned as he glanced at the glow of the streetlight dancing on the ceiling. It flickered wildly, something he had become accustomed to during his months here. Sarah's hand stopped moving, and he listened to her labored breathing as she fell asleep. His arm around her tightened.

He knew that once morning came, this woman would become just another memory. He yawned again, and his eyes closed. Perhaps he could ask her to stay or...

The lingering scent of their lovemaking, mingled with her rose-scented perfume, followed him into a dreamless, deep sleep.
