Thirty-Two- Imposter
"So, Hoseok, how has it been growing up knowing that you are the next heir to the throne of Auralia?" Jason spoke, lifting the cup of steaming tea to her lips.
I chuckled. "You make it sound like an interview." I watched as she giggled, covering her mouth as she did so. I shrugged in response to her question. "I don't know. It's hard to know what it would've been like if I hadn't grown up in this way, as royalty. I didn't have much of a social life. The only friends I ever really had have been staff in the castle."
Jisoo's eyes softened. "That must be tough. I guess I didn't even think about how miserable I was growing up, but you had it worse. I was able to meet the people I... love."
I sighed. "Once you love someone it's difficult to not love them for the rest of your life." I shook my head, eyes growing wide slightly as I realized the words that slipped from my mouth.
Jisoo nodded, humming quietly. "So Taehyung was correct."
My eyebrows quirked upwards in confusion. "What do you mean?"
She shrugged. "Taehyung told me that you were in love with someone else, but your father doesn't want you to love this person because it's a man."
"Dammit, Taehyung." I whispered, giving a small shake of my head."So... you still agreed to this even with you knowing this information."
Jisoo's eyes sparkled as she looked off towards the door behind me. She gave a slight smile before leaning forward, pecking my cheek. "Oh Hoseok. I would do anything to be your wife."
She leaned close to my ear, whispering softly, "Your father is listening in."
She leaned back as she reached for her cup of tea.
I gave a slight nod. "Well, I guess I am glad that if I am being forced to marry, at least it is with someone as lovely as you." I reached for her hand, pressing my lips against it gently while giving her a slight wink.
She covered her lips as she giggled, taking a peek behind me once more, giving me a nod. "Okay, he's gone. Give me the details."
"Details? About what?"
She gave me a slight roll of the eyes. "Oh please, honey. I'm a female. I live for the drama, for the romance. I want the story of you and your... love."
I sighed, pondering about where to even begin. I could feel a large smile forming on my lips as I told her our story: How we met, every conversation, watching him push me away, thinking he was dead, having him appear in my room in the middle of the night, and missing him ever since.
She gave me a genuine smile as I exhaled, not realizing all of the tension that I had felt about the situation.
"Hoseok, I can feel the love you have for him radiating from your words, your heart, your smile, your mind. I-I was actually engaged, and my fiancé was taken away from me. I believe they are being held prisoner so they cannot interfere with "our wedding." She made quotation marks with her fingers as she spoke. "While it is not exactly the same, and I did not see my love "die," I can still feel on some level what you are going through."
She reached out and squeezed my hand. "That is why Namjoon, my cousin, contacted me prior to your father."
My head tilted to the side as I motioned for her to continue.
"Namjoon told me about the situation, how your father was forcing you to marry and was locking my fiancé up. He informed your father about sending Taehyung to fetch me and bring me here. On the trip over, that is when I heard of your love. What was his name, may I ask?"
I sighed, missing the feeling of his name gliding off of my tongue and lips. "Yoongi. Min Yoongi. Although, most people in the town know him as Prisoner 134340."
