Cass is your classic nerd. He is very intelligent and excels in almost every class. He isn't what you call popular. Cass isn't the type of student to go to parties every Friday night or watch the Friday game. He isn't very athletic and enjoys to stay inside than be outside. Cass can be a huge perfectionist at times. When he is around his small group of friends or the people he knows, he can be very bold and bubbly. But he can also be a little bold when he speaks what he believes in. Cass is also a little tech savvy. He sees no point in the school's social system of populars and loathes it highly. He is very accepting and loving of other people, but the school populars that think they are better than everyone else and jocks that don't care about their education make him batty. But Cass doesn't resort to fighting back with violence, only words. He is very peaceful and doesn't see the point in violence. Failing gives Cass unease and high amounts of stress.

Cass grew up without a father for most of his life. Throne Whitestifle died when Cass was only five. It affected his life greatly. Carrie Whitestifle got a new job soon after, meaning that they would move from Yorktown, Virgina to New York. Carrie's new job required her to work long shifts, so she wasn't home much. Cass and Carrie's relationship isn't the best, but they still love each other. Cass learned how to take care of himself and entertain himself by reading or doing something artistic.
