The damage is already done.
The words have already been said.
Physical actions,
They heal.
Verbal actions,
They last,
Forever.
Although you may think,
That what you say,
May go away,
It doesn't.
It lasts,
And lasts,
And lasts.
It sticks,
In my heart,
And it maintains,
A status in my brain.
While your apology
May make things seem better,
It's just a word,
And it doesn't.
But yet you hold
A grudge so cold,
And I hope you know,
That the memory won't go.
