Chapter One
"Why me" I asked the reflection staring back at me.
Ha, as if it would answer. No one ever does.
Then I turned my back to the mirror and I walked out of the bathroom. I looked at the clock. 9:50 a.m. it read. I have to leave in 40 minutes if I want to make it to my appointment.
I have had therapy appointments ever since I can remember. My parents basically think that I'm nuts. The reason why is because I never feel like I belong, it's really rare when I'm actually happy, and hold on... there's one more thing.
Oh right, I HATE my parents. If I had any other pair of parents, they wouldn't freak out this much. I even ran away once, they called the police and I was sent to a mental hospital.
I mean, I know that they want what's best for me, but they never let me say my opinion on the subject, they treat me like a freak sometimes, and they make it as public as possible. If they could, I think that they would put it on billboards worldwide.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After my appointment, I decided to not go home right away. I walked around for awhile. I wanted to do something completely different, have fun for once.
Then I saw a store that I had never seen before. It was at the end of a small alley.
It looked rustic, like it had been there for years. But, that can't be. I have lived here for years. I have walked past this area at least half a dozen times. I decided to have a look.
