Lizzie's P.O.V

"Isn't it crazy how I was like everybody else. A normal person. Now, I'm insane... According to everybody else.

It all started when i went to this abandoned asylum. The "Sydney Mental Asylum". It was just down the street from whe-"

"Lizzie, come on. It's lunch time." My nurse, Alex said when she was entering my room.

She didn't know I had a diary and, she'll never know. I quickly hid it under my mattress before she was fully in my room. When she came in, I got up so she can walk me to the cafeteria.

This is my 5th day being in this asylum and I've grown to like it. Yes, I know it's weird. I bet you're thinking "How do you like it there? It's filled with crazy people!" I know it is. Im crazy too so, that's why I like it here.

Anyways, we arrived in the cafeteria. I went to get my so called food and sat down at a table in the corner where all my new friends were. Let me tell you about them.

So first we have Michael. He's my best friend and he's like a brother to me. The reason why he's here is because he murdered his whole family. He says that this Louis guy told him to do it.

Next we have Ashton. He's also my best friend. He's here because he tried to jump off a 10 story building and tried to hang himself. He pretends to be happy but we all know he wants to die.

Then we have Calum. He's like my frienemy because we fight a lot then we act like nothing ever happend. The reason why he's here is because he would abuse his family. He killed his sister by smashing her head on the kitchen counter and then shot his parents.

Calum was thrown in here first. After, it was Ashton. THEn Micheal. And now me. Im here because I was hearing voices in my head and I was seeing things. This all happend after going to the abandoned asylum down the street from were I lived.

I finally reached the table and sat down next to Michael. He saw me and gave me a tight hug.

"Lizzie. Long time no see little sis."

"It's only been a few hours you idiot. Can you let go now, I can't breathe."

"Oh right. Sorry. Haha."

Michael let go of me and started eating his good again. I said hi and waved at the other 2 boys and they did the same. Ashton stopped eating and looked up at me.

"So Lizzie, what have you been doing lately?"

"Nothing really. I've just been writing here and there. I also made a new painting."

Ashton smiled at me.

"That's good."

"Yeah. What have you been doing?"

"The same as every other day. Just laying in bed thinking about my existence and why I'm still here."

"Well then. Have you tried drawing or writing. Those can get your mind off of that."

Calum looked at Ashton then to me.

"Yes, he's tried those. The writing actually helped him. Just a tiny bit but it still helped him."

I just looked at him and smiled.

"That's good to hear."

"Yes. It actually is."

We stopped talking when we saw this guy we've never seen before sit down next to Ashton. I was going to ask him who he was until my nurse called me.

"Welp. That's my cue to leave. Bye guys."

They all said bye then I got up to go back to my room. I was thinking to myself about who that boy was. Im really eager to know. Well, I guess i'll find out tomorrow.I arrived at my room and went straight to my bed to lay down.

"I hope that boy sits at the table again. I need to know who he is and why he's here."
