Angelique's POV

I walk down the stairs in my pj's to get some breakfast. I'm greeted by my mom at the stove making pancakes. "Morning" I saw before letting out a yawn, "morning sweetie" she replies smiling at me. I return the smile before sitting on a stool near the kitchen counter. My mom puts a plate of panckes in front of me, I smile even wider at the pancakes. "You didn't have to make these mom" I explain to her, "I wanted to, it won't be long before you'll be away working for some hot shot hockey team and I won't be there to make you pancakes" she explains to me smiling. I put my hand on her's squeezing it softly, "it won't be the same when that does happen" I say to her. After a few seconds I grab my fork and knife and start eating the delicious pancakes in front of me. "Do I smell pancakes?" I hear behind me, I turn slightly and see my younger brother Danny walking into the kitchen rubbing his eyes. I roll my eyes at him, "what a guy" I say, "well I would be worried if I wasn't a guy Ange" he replies smiling widely at me. "So where's Dad?" I ask my mom, "he had to go to work early" she replies, I nod as I keep eating my breakfast. Danny is about to say someting but my cell phone starts ringing, he shuts his mouth and looks at me annoyed, "sorry, I'll get out of the room" I say getting up, grabbing my phone and leaving the room.

"Angelique speaking" I say, "hello Angelique this is Marcus Matheson calling to let you know that we looked over your application and we would love to have you interning with us this winter." the person says to me, my mouth hangs open for a few seconds before I realize that I should answer, "th-thank you so much, you won't be disappointed Mr Matheson" I say smiling, "could you start on December 15th?" he asks me, "yes of course" I reply happily, "I look forward to meeting you Miss Matthews have a nice day" he tells, "thank you so much I look forward to meeting you too" I reply. He hangs up which I do too before squealing happily, "WHAT HAPPENED WHO DIED???" My mom runs into the room worried, "no one, but I got the internship with Hockey Canada!!" I tell her excitedly, "I'm so happy for you sweetie!!" she says hugging me tightly.

*December 15th*

I stand in front of the Bell Centre doors where Marcus told me to meet him at, I take a deep breath, smooth out my black skirt and straighten my blazer before opening the door smiling. I follow Marcus' directions and find myself walking through the depths of the arena at ice level. I stop at a tunnel opening and I see some guys skating around on the ice with a coach standing still as he watches over them. "Miss Matthews?" I hear, I turn to the voice quickly with wide eyes. I see a young man standing there in a pair of trackpants and a loose t-shirt, "hi, and you are right I am Miss Matthews" I say smiling as I hold out my hand. He shakes my hand smiling at me, "call me Marcus" he explains to me, "you can call me Angelique" I tell him. He's about to say something but I don't realize that and I unintentionally cut him off, "who are the people on the ice?" I ask him, "Oh my gosh, im so sorry I didn't mean to cut you off" I add holding my hands in front of my mouth in shock my eyes widening slightly. Marcus chuckles, "it's okay Angelique, and those young men are the World Junior Championship team" he replies to me, my eyes widen at the new piece of information, "oh" is all that I say.

Marcus spent the next hour introducing me to everyone that works with the Junior Team. At times I would get a little overwhelmed but everyone ended up being super easy going and they welcomed me with open arms and smiles. I got Marcus' number so that if i'm needed he can contact me, with that being said he is letting me walk around the facility to get my berings straight since i'll have to work at the arena most of the time. I take my hair out of the bun I had it in and I shake out my hair letting if fall down my back in waves. I run my fingers along the wall as I keep walking with a smile on my face thinking about all the history in this building, it being the home of the Montreal Canadiens and all. As I turn the corner i'm not paying attention so I end up bumping into someone, I lose my balance but am steadied by some arms that come around my waist to keep me upright. First thing I notice is the Hockey Canada logo on the person's chest and then the shorts and the bright yellow nike's, I look at the person's face and I see a young guy looking down at me with a smile. I realize that he's probably one of the players, "h-hi" I stay stuttering slightly, "hi..." he replies confused, "oh right, i'm one of the interns, i'm Angelique" I tell him smiling and then bite my lip nervously, "I'm Brayden, one of the players" he tells me smiling again. I suddenly realize how close we are so I push his chest making him step back, "sorry about before, I should get going" I explain smoothing out my skirt before walking away from him.

Brayden Point's POV

I decide to go and try to find Benoit Groulx our coach, so I start walking down the hall. I turn the corner and am bumped into by someone, I notice that it's a girl, she almost loses her balance but I wrap an arm around her waist catching her. I bring her to my chest to steady her, she looks up at me, "h-hi" she says stuttering slightly, I suddenly get confused as to why she's in these halls in the first place, "hi..." I reply. She replies telling me how she's an intern, she tells me her name, Angelique. I introduce myself but am distracted by the way she bites her lip nervously. I'm suddenly brought back to reality when she pushes my chest, this makes me take step back. "Sorry about before, I should get going" is all she says before walking away quickly. I stare at her as she walks away with a slight smile on my face.

Angelique's POV

As i'm walking away I feel his eyes on me but I ignore it since I know that I shouldn't get involved with any of the players on the team. I decide to go find Marcus to tell him that i'm done for the day if he doesn't need any help.
