What made you start writing? Why did you pick up the pen?

I started writing because it was an avenue for me to express my thoughts and feelings. I was in a very bad place when I started writing my first book and it helped me in so many ways to come out of my shell and put myself out to everyone.

What/who are your main inspirations for writing?

My main inspiration for writing are the events that happen around me and to me. It feels so much better to address issues that most people ignore because they don't have a first-hand experience of what it it's like.

I've seen your #ProjectNigeria hashtag, is your Nigerian heritage an important part of your writing?

Yes. The Nigerian culture is a crucial part of my writing because it's necessary to show that Nigerian literature cannot be left behind. Also, a Nigerian book is always a fun read because of its underlying humor regardless of the genre and the richness of the culture.

What does Wattpad mean to you?

Wattpad means a lot of things to me but above all, Wattpad is my second family and there's nothing better than being with the people with whom you can be yourself.

What is your writing process? Where do you write? How long for? Noise or no noise?

I always write in a corner of my room, literally and I can't tolerate any noise while I write, not even a song. Although I might text one particular person the entire time, it keeps me connected to reality while I'm in a fictional world. Regardless of my mood and the time, I can write 2000 words in an hour.

What is your favourite genre to write and why?

Presently, my favorite genre to write is Teen Fiction because I'm able to relate well with the behaviors and attributes of my characters.

What are you currently working on?

I just finished a short Teen Fiction story, Underwater, and I'm still in the planning stage of the second part of the series which will be announced soon.

Is there a genre that you wish you were better at?

I wish I could write horror and mystery novels because those are my absolute favorite genres to read. I'm working on it though, and every of my book has a teeny weeny bit of mystery in them. It is hard work because it takes more than seeing one horror movie to conclude that you can write a horror novel, it is an art in itself.

What are your 2018/2019 writing goals?

My goals all add up to becoming a better writer in the next year and to put myself out there more than I am now.

Can you name some of your favourite Wattpad books?

I have so many books that hold my heart here on Wattpad. The Storm and Silence Series by @RobThier was one of the first books I read when I got to Wattpad newly and I totally loved it, I still do. There's Trapped by @SallyMason1 and so many others that I can't name. Also, the first Nigerian mystery novel that I read on here; Baby Tunmise by @toyosibby was amazing.

Do you have any advice for writers who are just starting out?

I'm not really in the position to give any advice but the most important thing is to write from your heart because that's the only way you can connect with someone with your work, also, don't give up.
