Why did you become a writer, and what made you pick up the pen?

I started to write a lot since I was in 6th grade, but it was mainly bullet journals and small things like that. I was actually reading something that really fascinated me here on Wattpad and I just knew that I wanted to try writing something of my own!

What is Wattpad to you?

To me, Wattpad is holds a lot of inspiration for my own writing and it's just an amazing networking site to connect with other people that have the same passion as I do.

What is your favourite genre to write in?

I'm honestly not quite sure yet since I'm kind of in an experimental phase and trying out different genres. But so far, I really like writing in the adventure / action genre.

Tell us about your favourite story that you've written on Wattpad...

My favorite story that I've written on Wattpad so far is the one I'm working on currently, which is an adventure / action story. It's full of bizarre twists and turns, and it's honestly so much more fun than writing historical fiction and poetry (which have been my main focuses so far on Wattpad.)

Is there a genre that you wish you were better at writing?

Differently romance. I can't romance for the life of me.

Who is your favourite published author, and who is your favourite Wattpad author?

My favorite published author is F. Scott Fitzgerald, mainly because The Great Gatsby is my all - time favorite novel. My favorite Wattpad author @-romantically. She's just an amazing role - model for me and I really hope that I can someday be as successful and as great of a writer as she is.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like hanging out with friends or doing fun photoshoots at work. At home, though, I just huddle up on the couch and watch The Office.

If you could have lunch with one fictional character from literature, who would it be and why?

I think I would have lunch with Nick from The Great Gatsby. To me, he just seems to be one of the least judgemental characters that I know so far and he just seems that he'd be a fun person to talk to.

What is your favourite and least favourite book to screen adaptation?

My favorite book to screen adaptation is (no surprise) The Great Gatsby. Leonardo DiCaprio just nailed the part of Gatsby and the imagery used was fantastic. My least favorite book to screen adaptation was the Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. It was great as a children's book, but just not so much as an on - screen movie.

If you could design a writing room, money no object, what would it look like?

I kind of imagine a loft in an apartment in New York City or Los Angeles and looking over the middle of the city. Having limitless boba tea and thai iced tea wouldn't be too bad either. And of course, every sort of fountain pen, highlighter, sticky - note that you can buy at a store would be pretty awesome, too.

Date, marry, kill, between all of your own story characters...

Date : probably Lauren Taylor from The Seventh User. She's pretty loyal to the ones close to her, but she's kind of annoying sometimes so I'd only really go on a few dates with her. Marry : General Gao from Within the Palace Walls. He's super cool and strong and just the perfect knight - in - shining armor. Kill : This one's easy. Princess Yin from Within the Palace Walls. She's super badass and manipulative to kill off her enemies and I'd love to kill her any time of day.

What are your 2018/2019 writing goals?

I'm going into my first year of college this year and I'm taking a class that teaches students how to make book to screen adaptations ( basically film writing ). I honestly can't wait to sharpen up my writing skills in that class and I hope to really impress my professor and fellow classmates.

What advice would you give to those who are just starting out?

Definitely, patience is key. No one's going to get hundreds / thousands of reads overnight. Or even a month maybe. But stick to it, post on a normal schedule (once a week is perfect, don't overdo it), and really polish up grammar.
