I felt someone's hands reach around me and I screamed. I twirled around to see the person I less expected to see ever again.

Venus:

He covered my mouth and I took in a deep breath when I saw who it was. He started laughing and I bit his hand causing him to call out. He rubbed his hand and gave me a pout.

"What the heck!? What are you doing here?" I asked shoing him with the might I had

"I forced them to let me in so you guys don't die out here. Remember who won last years hunger games in this very biome?" he said crossing his arms

I rubbed my arms and shook my head. Jacob was standing right in front of me, here for our safety and risking his life for no reson. He noticed me practically freezing over and he took off his thick jacket and wrapped it around me.

"Thanks" I said growing warm fast

I realized I had bitten him hard and his hand was bleeding.

"Why am I always making you bleed? Come here" I said leading him over to the edge of the woods

We knelt down and I dug a whole, putting the remaing snow on his hand for now. I reached for the remaing greens and made a plant wrap around his hand and cut off. I made the plant shrink back into the isolated warm place under the packed snow.

"Girl, I literally stalked you during the whole games, and never have you used a plant to heal yourself, the plants come after you" he said admiring his hand

"Should I feel creeped out orr" I asked raising an eyebrow

There was a sudden skidding behind us, we turned around to see an out of breath Shawn. I rushed forward and helped stabilize.

"Look who decided to join us in our death/escape mission" I said as Shawn looked up at Jacob who crossed his arms, hiding his hand

"W-wait, Jacob? Hold on why did you scream?" he asked me regaining his coposer

"Well the idiot over there scared me" I said pointing at Jacob

"Im here to help" Jacob said rolling his eyes

"Im at the v-very edge of b-biting you" I said with a shiver as cold wind came and almost froze me

"Shoot hold on" Shawn said, running around to the back of the unfinished igloo. Jacob wrapped me in his arms which made me feel warm, but not as warm as Shawn and very uncomftrable. Shawn came back with a care package chest and I could sense anger and jelousy going through him as he saw Jacob hugging me. I pushed away from Jacob and ran to the chest, helping Shawn open it. I felt anger rise in Jacob and lower in Shawn.

"Here" Shawn said pulling out a snow suit

I grabbed it and ran into the woods where I swapt clothes quickly. When I came back I gave Jacob his coat back but I felt cold still, I just wasn't warming up fast enough. Shawn noticed this and before Jacob could even do a thing, he placed a small ball of fire in my hand. I just slumped down into the snow, staring at it. I heard Shawn laugh as I just stared at it in awe. I looked up after what seemed like minutes to find the igloo done.

"Wha-," I began as I looked around as Shawn sat down beside me

"You've been staring like that at the fire for about an hour" he said pulling me closer to him

"Well darn" I said handing him the small ball of flames

"Yeah well your weird like that" he said with a laugh

"Well that's why you love me" I said giving him a cold kiss on the cheek

His face turned a pink color and I wasn't sure if the cold had gotten to him or if he was blushing. I laughed and stood up, leaving Shawn in the snow as the sky grew dark. I went into the igloo and saw Jacob sitting around a fire. I sat down across of him and felt excitement rise from him.

"Jacob, why are you really here?" I asked looking straight into his eyes

"I already told you, to help you guys get out of here" he said furrowing his eyebrows

"Mm no I don't think so, Shawn hates you and you hate him so whats the deal? They set you up?" I asked shifting my position to reach the knife I was sitting on

"Venus do you here yourself?" he asked worriedly

I suddenly sprang forward and tackled him to the ground with all the might I had. Once I was sitting ontop of him I brought the knife close to his neck, grazing it lightly to scare him.

"Jacob Collins I swear don't lie to me!" I hissed, my stern eyes looking into his frightened ones

" I came back for you" he blurted out causing me to stare at him in confusion

"What?" I asked pulling the knife away but still close enough to threaten him with.

"I came back for you okay? The last thing I saw was you getting shot and Max dying and I knew they were just going to burn the bodies but you didn't deserve that. But just as I had convinced them to let me in, they said you were alive and when I checked you guys were running for your lives. Ive seen Shawn in action and you seem to be the one getting hurt the most not him, probably because he lets you do all the work

"So I came to help you escape because you would dye out here!" he said

I looked down at him and before I spoke Shawn walked in.

"Venus why are you ontop of Jacob? And whats with the knife?" he asked, I could feel jelousy and anger rising in him

I stood up and let the knife fall right beside his face, missing it by cenemiters. I stormed pass Shawn and went out into the frosty air. Ugh! If Jacob had been stalking me through out the games then he should no fairly well I like Shawn way more than him. Jacob doesn't know how to be an actual human- I don't wither what am I saying. Hes just so serious at times and he thinks he can get what he wants when he wants it and that's not how I roll. Jacob knows that I don't exactly get so well along with him, and I don't need him risking his life for mine. Shawn and I already made it through the begginig, we don't need Jacob coming in the end. And I mean I know, technically im still single cause Shawn and I arnt a thing but we have a connection and its more than I have evr had in my life. I looked up and around, realizing that I had ventured into the woods, gettong myself ever so lost. I looked around for my foot prints but snow had begun to fall and cover them up. I hurridly looked around and realized that I had no idea wither the igloo was north, south, east or west. I began to tremle as I had been away from the fire for to long and the tempeture could be felt drastically dropping. I began to grow wooreied and scared. What was I going to do?!

Shawn:

I looked after Venus who had just stormed out. I looked over at Jacob was standing up and dusting himself off.

"What just happened?" I asked motioning to the door of the igloo

"Venus just suddenly went wild, she uh pranced on me and when I told her to get off she said no and grabbed a knife to keep me down." He responded

"You sure? Venus just sprang out on you out of nowhere?" I questioned, this all seemed suspicious

"Im pretty sure, she was staring at me biting her lip and there she came" Jacob said with a shrug

I nodded my head thoughtfully. By Venus biting her lip did he mean seductively orr like what was going on. I sighed and just stared at him. What was he even doing here? I mean come on! Hes probably trying to get on Venus's good side. I remember hearing him tell Venus he wanted to take her out but I went out of earshot right after. I hope he knows when to back off because Venus is mine! We went through survival together and even if I hadn't made it official just yet, I was going to and he wasn't going to stop me.

"You know I should probably check on Venus now, shes been outside for a while now and its getting colder" I said turning on my heels to walk out of the now awkwardly tense igloo.

Jacob nodded and I crawled out, immediately met by the cold winds. I looked around the clearing and was immediately alarmed when I didn't see Venus anywhere.

"Venus!" I yelled out

She had been out for the only 10 maybe 15 minutes but the tempeture had dropped and now it was freezing. I had just lost her and got her back earlier today, I couldn't loose her again. Jacob crawled out of the igloo and looked around.

"Wheres Venus?" he asked with a frown

"That's what im trying to find out!" I said searching for any foot prints or sign in which direction she had gone

Jacob pulled out flashlights and we went two separate ways to look for her. I couldn't loose Venus again, I just couldn't!
