~~Dean's POV~~

I put my hand to my mouth and take a sharp intake of breath. This isn't my brother.. My brother wasn't like this how could..how could this happen?!

The nurse gives me a sympathetic look and pats my shoulder. "Just go along with it." She whispered and stepped away. Cas took my hand in his and squeezed it tightly. I was happy for the support of my husband. I probably would've ran out by now.

I was sitting in our house. Mine and Sammy's. We shared it. Me and Cas were dating and I liked him a lot but was scared to tell him I loved him at the time.

Sam walked in an sat across from me at the table as I ate my pie. I looked up with raised eyebrows and a questioning look.

"Yeah Sammy?" I asked with my mouth full.

"Dean I need to ask you something." He said and I could tell he was nervous. Poor kid. I kept eating my pie though. I mean..why not I love pie!

"Dean..I want to ask Gabe to marry me and I want your blessing since you're the one who raised me and am my only real family." He blurted out looking up at me.

My chewing became slower until I swallowed and took a while before I actually spoke. I was in shock.

"You what?"

"Want your blessing.."

I sighed. I couldn't believe my little baby brother was all grown up. It pained me to have to let go of him but I knew..I knew it was the right thing to do. He needed a life. As did I eventually.

"Of course Sammy. You know I'll support you in anything. And if you really love this guy then that's a really special thing to have. Of course you can have my blessing whatever the hell that would be."

"A lock of your hair." Sam dead pans and I open my mouth to say something but then close it and start burst out laughing. He starts laughing too and I'm glad we didn't get too much into a chick flick moment. Those are saved for Cas.

"Thank you Dean it really means a lot to me." He whispered and he stood up giving me a hug. I laughed slightly. "No problem Sammy."

That was a good memory. And if only I had said no.. No he'd still have married Gabe. He was a stubborn guy and did really love Gabriel. Obviously.

"Come on in guys talk to me." Sam said and I nodded slowly walking in and me and Cas sat in chairs side by side never letting go of each other's hands.

"So how have you been?" Sam asked with a small smile. He started laughing randomly and I looked up at the nurse who just gave me another sympathetic smile.

"Gabe you're funny. Now shut up so we can listen to our brothers speak." He chuckled and me and Cas exchanged a look.

I chuckled nervously. "Well.. Me am Cas have been married a while now. We're coming up to our five year anniversary."

"Congratulations guys!" Sam says excitedly.

"Yeah.."

~~Castiel's POV~~

I could tell that Dean wanted to burst out crying right then and there and the worst part hadn't even come yet.

So I talked for him.

"Yeah. We're thinking of adopting a dog. Though Dean wants a huge one like a Saint Bernard or something and I just want like a golden retriever." I chuckled lightly and Dean seemed to relax a bit.

Sam laughed. "Aww that's cute. Never saw you as the dog type Dean."

"Things change Sammy. Things change." He whispered brokenly, but luckily Sam didn't pick up on it.

"Yeah you're telling me!" He tried to lift his hands but couldn't.

We talked for a while before we excused ourselves and walked out of the room.

I hugged Dean tightly and rubbed his back as he buried his face in the crook of my neck and cried silently.

"Shh baby you did so good. We're in the home stretch now okay?"

Dean stood up like he never even shed a tear and nodded. The hardest part was yet still to come but we could do this..

It was hard for me too. Sam had become like a little brother to me as well. He was part of my family too and to see him like that..it broke my heart.
