Chapter 1
*3rd POV*
The Losers' Club was sitting together. It was September of 1989. "I saw all of us. All of us were there. Back in the cistern. But we were older. We were our parents' ages." Beverly said. "Am I still handsome as an adult?" Richie asked making a face.
"You grow into your looks." Beverly said. "What the fuck does that mean?" Richie asked as we all chuckled. "What about me?" Stan asked her, causing Beverly to pause. None of the boys noticed it... but Izzy did.
"Like now, but taller." Beverly said as Izzy could see the look on her face. Bill stood up. "Swear it. Swear, if It isn't dead, if It ever comes back, we'll come back too." Bill said as everyone looked at him and each other.
"Memory, it's a funny thing. People want to believe they are what they choose to remember. The good stuff. The moments. The places. The people we all hold on to. But sometimes...sometimes... we are what we wish we could forget." An older version of Mike narrated.

The carnival music was loud and cheerful. And many people were playing a game, a lot of kids, and an adult. And soon a balloon popped, meaning the adult one. "Winner, winner, chicken dinner." The host said as he handed the man a prize.
"Thank you." The man said. "Wow. You really showed 'em, huh?" Another man asked behind the man. "I did. I..." He said before looking at a little girl beside him that looked at the prize with a longing look.
"Hey, girl, do you want this?" He asked her before leaning to her ear. "Thanks for letting me win." He whispered, causing the girl to smile as she took the prize from him and ran. "What'd you get, Vicky?" A mom asked as she approached her daughter before they walked off.
"Well, here is your consolation prize." Don said as he held a beaver hat. "Look at that. Never been a fan of the beaver but look at this hat. I mean..." Adrian said before him and Don kissed softly.
"Thank you." Adrian said before kissing Don again. Not far, teenager noticed this and watched. "So, we need to talk logistics." Don said as him and Adrian walked. "Ooh. How romantic." Adrian said.
"Romantic? What's so fucking romantic, huh?" The teenager asked standing in front of the couple, before knocking Adrian's drink out of his hand before spitting in front of them. "Hey. Your mommas ever teach you boys to respond to someone when they ask you a fucking question." An older guy in the teenager's friend group asked.
"Come on, Adrian." Don said pulling his boyfriend with him as they walked. "You got a problem, faggot?" The same guy asked. Adrian stopped, turning to them. "I don't, but Meg Ryan called. She wants her wig back." Adrian said causing the man to stare at them.
Adrian and Don walked on the bridge together. "Stuff like that is why I have to leave this shithole town. Small minds." Don said to his boyfriend. "They have small dicks." Adrian said. "I'm being serious. We belong elsewhere. Hey, look, if you end up hating New York, we can always move back here." Don told Adrian.
"I just want to be with you. I don't care. New York, Derry, whatever. It's..." Adrian said facing Don. "You have to say that." Don told him. "I don't have to say anything." Adrian said as they were about to kiss.
"Take off that fucking hat." The same man said as him and his friends surrounded Don and Adrian. "Oh, God." Adrian said. "Come on, let's go." Don said but stopped as they were kept in place.
"Wouldn't want to give people the impression we allow a bunch of fucking fairies like you in this town." The older man said. "Yeah, he was born here, asshole." Adrian said. "All right, let's go." Don said.
"No. You know what? I'll take off the hat for you. But why leave it there? Anything else you would like me to take off for you tonight? Any special requests, ladies?" Adrian asked before he was punched by the older man.
Don tried to stop him, but he was held back as the teenager took Adrian's hat. Don and Adrian were beat, but Adrian more so. Adrian had blood all over his face. Soon Adrian was carried to the side of the bridge.
"Give me the hat, Chris." The older man told the teenager. "It's fucking mine!" He responded. "I said give me the fucking hat!" The man screamed. Chris took off the hat, causing the older man to put it back on Adrian.
"Welcome to Derry, motherfucker." The older man said before they flipped Adrian over the side and into the water below. The guys friend group ran off, as Don got up and looked over the edge to see Adrian floating off.
Adrian was struggling and soon he was helped out of the water, but his vision was blurred, and didn't realize what was truly helping him out of the water. Don rushed to the water, and saw the hat, before seeing Adrian being helped up.
But Son soon saw the clown bite into Adrian, almost killing him instantly. Balloons floated everywhere as Don looked around for the clown and Adrian. "Thing is, sometimes what we wish was forgotten, what we tried to leave in the past, won't stay there." Mike narrated.
Mike was sitting in a chair as he had his radio on. He was startled away as he listened to the radio. He got up quickly before turning it up. He listened before looking out the window. "Sometimes it comes back for you." Mike narrated.
Mike grabbed his jacket and rushed out to the crime scene. He walked on the bridge, before he slowly went down under the bridge, when he noticed something. He grabbed a popped ballon that had 'I ❤ Derry' on it.
But Mike saw something under the bridge. He went down more and saw 'COME HOME' written in blood on the pillar. He backed away and stared at it in shock.

A man was sitting in front of his computer with his glasses on his head. But soon knocks on a door were heard, and soon opened. "Ah." The man said leaning forward, getting his glasses on his face, acting like he was working hard, and not struggling.
"Mr. Denbrough? They need you on set." A woman said coming into the RV. The said man walked out of the RV closing the door and to the warehouse. He ducked under the closing door. "You a crewmember?" Someone asked him.
"I'm the writer." He said as he walked over to a woman who was getting her makeup done. "Your soon to be ex-husband's here." The assistant whispered. The woman turned. "Hey! Do you have the pages?" She asked walking towards him.
"Everyone keep clear of the crane." A woman said. A man was lowered. "My friend, a film needs an ending. You do know that, right?" The man asked. "Oh, yeah." Mr. Denbrough said. "You said that you needed another day to finish the pages, and we're shooting this thing. It's tonight." The woman told him annoyed.
"That's, like, 17 hours..." Mr. Denbrough said. "Everybody, calm down, okay?" The man asked. "I'm calm." Mr. Denbrough said. "I want you to be happy with the movie. You understand? I'm on your side." The man said.
"That's great. 'Cause in my book, the ending..." Mr. Denbrough began. "Is terrible. All due respect; people loved your book. Loved. They hated the ending." The man said. "You said you liked the ending." Mr. Denbrough said.
"That was a lie. We gotta do better, okay?" The man asked. "Yeah." Mr. Denbrough said. "Audra, you have my notes. Would you..." The man asked causing Audra to nod, causing her ex to look at her.
"Okay, thank you very much. Take me back to one, please." The man said as he was lifted up. "Bye. You have his notes?" Mr. Denbrough asked looking at Audra. "He's not wrong." She said. "You hate my endings, too?" He asked her.
"Not all your endings. But this..." Audra said. "Okay." He said walking away. "Just... What? Do you want me to keep lying to you just because I'm about to be your ex-wife?" Audra asked. "You're my ex-wife? No. No. But you know what? You've been blowing smoke up my ass for eight years? I guess I thought you were someone else." He said as he walked with her.
"I have no not been blowing smoke up your ass." Audra told him. "Everybody wants a happy ending. Everybody wants closure. But that's not the way life works out." He told her. "I think what Peter wants and what the studio wants..." Audra began.
"The studio? When'd you become a company man? Jesus, you're an artist. Come on. What's wrong with just doing it the way it's written? The way I wanted. What's wrong with being the woman I want you to be?" He asked her, causing Audra to glare at him.
"Fuck you, Bill." Audra told her ex-husband. "On the page. The part, I mean. Not you." He stammers before his cellphone rings. He walked out of the warehouse and answered the phone call.
"Hello?" Bill asked. "Bill Denbrough? It's Mike." Mike said. "Mike who?" Bill asked. "Mike Hanlon. From Derry." Mike said, as Bill groans and looked at his hand as he felt the scar on his hand burning. "You need to come home." Mike said as Bill looked around.

A man was driving dangerously on the road. "Eddie, I keep telling you not to scare me like this. And you never listen to me." A woman on the phone told him. "All right. Myra, please. Not now." Eddie said as he took his medicine.
"You shouldn't be out there. Eddie, it's not safe to drive when the roads are slick like this." Myra told her husband. "Sweetheart, it stopped raining, like, three hours ago. All right? Everything is gonna be fine." Eddie told her before a horn was hocked.
"Hey, dickhead! Flow of traffic mean anything to you?!" Eddie yelled. "What if you hydroplane?" Myra asked. "I'm not gonna hydroplane. It is my job to assess risk. So, please trust me when I tell you that, statistically speaking, I am much more likely to get into an accident because I am talking to you on the phone! All right? I have to go. I will talk to you soon. Goodbye." Eddie said hanging up.
But soon the sound of a phone ringing was heard. "Edward Kaspbrak speaking." He said professionally. "You didn't say, "Okay, bye, I love you," like you usually do." Myra told her husband.
"Listen to me. I can't! I'm going to be late to this...meeting." Eddie said as he noticed a call waiting from Derry, Maine. "Say, "I love you," Eddie." Myra said. "Okay, I love you, Mommy." Eddie said.
"What?" Myra asked. "Myra. Bye." Eddie said hanging up on his wife. He answered the waiting call. "Hello? Who's this?" Eddie asked. "It's me. Mike." Mike said over the phone. "Mike who?" Eddie asked, not realizing he ran a red light and crashed into someone. "Eddie! You okay?" Mike asked worried. "Yeah, I'm pretty good." Eddie said.
Later
A man walked out a door and threw up over the edge after a phone call from Mike. "Dude! Dude, what the fuck? You were fine, like, five seconds ago. Who was it? Who called? Huh?" A man asked the one that threw up.
The man breathes heavily. "Rich? Rich? Talk to me. You're on in two minutes. You good? 'Cause you look not good." The man told Rich. "I'm fine." Rich said. "You're fine? Okay. And we're walking. We're walking." The man said as him and Rich walked down a hall.
Soon enough, he was on the side of a stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Richie Tozier!" A man said as an audience cheered as he walked on stage. "All right. How are we doing tonight? So, my girlfriend caught me masturbating to her friend's Facebook page." Richie said causing the audience to laugh.
"And so now I'm in Masturbators Anonymous." Richie said as the audience kept laughing. "And I stand up at the first meeting and I say, "My name is Richie Trashmouth"." Richie began but he soon zoned out as memories came back to him. "Trashmouth. Uh...Forgot the joke." Richie said. "You suck!" Someone yelled as Richie chuckled awkwardly.

"Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for letting us present to you today. Now, this will include over a million square feet of commercial and residential space. State-of-the-art office towers." A man said.
"What I'm really looking for is to understand how we create even more retail opportunities. If we put in walls here and all along here..." Another man said. "Lose them." A voice on speaker said. They turned towards a screen where a man was sitting and watching.
"With all due respect, Mr. Hanscom..." One of the men said. "Ben, please. And with all due respect to you, I'm getting claustrophobic just looking at this model. Aren't you? Look. Throw up more walls, it's gonna feel like a prison. You know what people want to do in prison? Get out. Right? This should be a place that brings people together. A meeting ground. A clubhouse. And if, while people are there..." Ben explained before he heard his phone ringing.
He studied it. "Excuse me for one second." Ben said exiting the meeting and grabbing his phone as he answered it. "Hello?" Ben asked. "Ben? It's Mike Hanlon. From Derry." Mike said over the phone.

A woman stood in her kitchen decorating a cake. She was hyper focused on the flowers when she heard her phone ring, the colored icing she was holding slipped from her hands, causing her to yelp.
Icing went everywhere. "Damn it." She said before she wiped her hands off, before she answered her phone. "Hello?" She asked. "Izzy Johnson?" Mike asked. "This is she. Who is this?" Izzy asked. "This is Mike. Mike Hanlon. You got to come home." He said, causing Izzy to gasp.
Meanwhile
A man was putting together a puzzle with some glasses on as music played in the background. "Should I just book it? You're sure you can get away from work?" A woman asked. "It's summer, why not?" A man asked.
"Okay, we are Buenos Aires-bound." The woman said chuckling. As the man took his glasses off to get a piece off the ground, when he saw his phone ringing. He got the piece and answered his phone.
"Stanley Uris speaking." Stan said. "It's Mike." Mike said. "I'm sorry?" Stan said confused. "Mike Hanlon. From Derry." Mike said. "Mike. God, sorry. Yes, hi. I don't know why I didn't... How long's it been?" Stan asked with a small chuckle.
"A long time. 27 years." Mike said as Stan stood up and walked to the side a little. "It's come back, hasn't it? That's why you're calling me?" Stan asked. "It's starting again, Stan. Bad things are happening." Mike said.
"Did you call the others? I mean, what if they don't come?" Stan stammered. "We made a promise, remember? How soon can you get here?" Mike asked. "Um... Well, I... Yeah, I would need to do a few things..." Stan said.
"Tomorrow. We don't have much time. I'll text you everything you need. I'll see you soon, Stan the Man." Mike said hanging up meaning he only had one person left. Stan had run a boiling bath.
He had got in and turned the water off. He thought back to the promise he made when they were children as he stared up at the ceiling. "I swear, Bill." Stan said before he did the most unthinkable thing. Stanley Uris laid in his bathtub... with bloody wrists.

Beverly was laying in her bed, when she was startled awake by her nightmare. She heard her phone ring, and she looked at it. She was soon sitting in her closet. "You made a promise, Beverly." Mike said over the phone.
"I'm so sorry, Mike. I don't even really remember." Beverly said. "Haven't you ever wondered why you can't seem to remember the things most people should about where they're from, about who they are, why you have that scar on your hand?" Mike asked, causing Beverly to look at the very scar on her hand.
"No one else remembered, either. Eddie, Ben, Stan, Richie, Izzy...Bill." Mike said. "Bill." Beverly said. "You have to come back. You all do." Mike said. "When?" Beverly asked and soon Beverly was packing everything she needed.
As she went to walk out of the closet, she grabbed her bag, and came back only to find her husband, causing her to gasp. "Whoa. Are you okay? What's going on? It's the middle of the night. You're packing?" He said.
"I didn't want to wake you, honey. I know this week's been really exhausting. I just got a phone call from an old friend from Derry. I have to go back there. It's really hard to explain why." Beverly told him as she sat on the bed to put her shoes on.
"It's okay. You don't have to explain yourself to me. Relax. I trust you." He said. "Thank you." Beverly said and got up, only to be grabbed by the wrist. She looked at him confused. "I just don't understand why you'd lie to me. I heard you. You said the name Mike." He said.
"Yes, my friend. See, there was a group of us back then, and we all made a promise to each other when we were kids." Beverly tried to explain to him. "You know trust is everything in a relationship. You know it's everything to me, right?" He asked her.
"I know. This isn't..." Beverly said. "Right? What? Like the last time?" He said. "I never cheated on you." Beverly said but whimpers as he grabbed her by the hair. "You're a bad fucking liar, Bev. You're not going anywhere, okay? I want you to stay right here, and you're gonna show me what it is you're gonna do with Mike. Okay?" He told her.
"You're hurting me, honey." Beverly said before she was grabbed by the throat. "No one else is gonna love you like me. You know that, right?" He asked as Beverly clawed at his face shoving him aside.
He groans. "I-I-I'm sorry." Beverly said before she blocked him from hitting her face with the belt. She grabbed his arm. "Don't make this fucking harder!" He yelled. "Don't." Beverly said before she was punched onto the bed by him.
Beverly looked up at him and kicked his face. Beverly fell off the bed and as he charged at her, she took a picture and slammed it into his head. She grabbed her bag and rushed downstairs. "You're nothing without me! You know that, right?!" He yelled after her.
"Tell me I'm wrong!" He yelled as Beverly rushed outside in the rain. She took her ring off. She walked in the rain, becoming soaked with water as she walked.
27 years back
The sewer pushed out all the water, including all the bodies that were down there. The water was bloodied, and soon enough, Henry Bowers screamed as he resurfaced. He walked to his house where the police were getting his father's body.
An officer turned around. "Jesus Christ. Boys. Little prick's got balls, I'll give him that. Far enough, Bowers!" He said. "I'm not done yet. I'm not done. I'm not fucking done." Bowers said. "On your knees." One of them said.
"I can't. No! I gotta kill them all! Fuck, fuck! Fucking kill them all! Stop it!" Bowers yelled. "Cuff this sorry sack of shit!" One of them said before punching Bowers in the face. "Fuck you!" Bowers yelled.
"Henry Bowers, I am placing you under arrest for the murder of Oscar Bowers. Do you understand, dipshit?" The man asked as Bowers looked in the air and smiled as he saw a red balloon. "You have the right to an attorney. You have the right to remain silent." He continued.
27 years later
Henry Bowers was sitting in a mental hospital as he ate some grapes. But then he looked to the side to see a red balloon. He pointed at himself, before laughing. He got up and went to the window, before jumping on the window trying to get out.
"Bowers, calm the fuck down!" A nurse yelled before he was grabbed and taken to his room as he kept looking out the windows. "Someone needs a little extra clozapine today, don't they? Stay in your fucking room." The nurse said as he closed the door.
Bowers didn't see the balloon, and he looked around. He heard the bed creak, and he moved a blanket to find the red balloon. He began pulling on it, but as he did it popped, showing the rotting corpse of Patrick Hockstetter.
He backed away as the corpse approached him. He hit the wall, as the corpse showed a knife. He held it out to Bowers. "Hockstetter." Bowers said before he slowly took the knife. "My knife." Bowers said looking at it.
