Chapter 1: Group Six.
I gripped Jordan's v-neck tightly as his hand slid up my thigh, coming close to my butt. I tried to suppress the moan that was building up inside me, but I couldn't help it as I let out a quiet moan against his lips, which twitched into a small smile before coming back to mine and sliding his tongue into my mouth. He battled for dominance and I let him have it as his other hand pressed against my back as I straddled him.
It was a Sunday night, and like most Sundays, Jordan had come over for a date night. They usually ended with us having sex. The lights were dimmed and we were both on my bed, clothes still on, making out. Jordan was topless, but I didn't think that counted really. I'd seen him topless hundreds of times.
His hand came higher and higher until I gasped in pleasure at how close he was to touching me. He flipped me over in the bed so he was over me now, his hand still up my skirt. I myself brought both my hands to the rim of his trousers and playfully tugged at them, smiling.
He growled and brought his hands up to my waist and pulled down on my skirt. I got it off and kept kissing him, now just wearing my panties and a top with no bra. He stood for a moment to pull of his trousers and now we were both barely decent. He brought his hand up my shirt and I moaned as he stopped kissing me to make love bites on my neck, all the way down my shoulder. I pulled him down to me a little more as his hand came up to my chest, still kissing my neck.
I pulled off my top and he moved his lips down my body, down, all the way to my hips. I bit my lip as he started to slide off my underwear, and made me feel the pleasure I was craving. He then started to slide off his boxers when..
Beep! Beep!
One of our phones had just received a text, and I looked away from him. Who would be texting past midnight?
"C'mon babe," he said in his low, masculine voice. "Just ignore it." He gave me a sexy smile. I sat up, shaking my head.
"No, if someone's texting this late there must be some kind of problem or emergency." I said, worriedly. I rolled over and saw his phone had lit up, coming from a number listed as 'Mary❤️'. I furrowed my eyebrows, opening it. It read:
Are we still on for tomorrow? Xx .
I grabbed the phone in my hand, and his eyes widened over my shoulder. I started to read the texts. They were filled with flirty messages and the occasional nude pic, which I scrolled away from quickly.
"Luna, listen." He started, but I snapped at him.
"Who the fuck is Mary? Are you cheating on me, you cunt!" I yelled angrily, slamming the phone down and getting off the bed, throwing on my purple dressing gown.
"Mary isn't who you think she is, we're just friends!" He said desperately. I scoffed at his futile attempt.
"Please. What a pathetic excuse! Get out of here!" I yelled at him, furious. How dare he play me like that! ARGHHH! "Now! Leave!"
"But... I'm only wearing my underwear!"
"Do I look like I care? Get out o my house!!!" I yelled at him, grabbing his clothes and chucking them out of the window.
"Those were expensive!" He accused me, and I rolled my eyes.
"My hair care is expensive, bitch. Get out before I call Connor!" Connor was one of my bodyguards, who was currently in the room across from mine. He was like a big brother to me, though I'd safely say he was about 31.
Jordan's face paled. "Please, Luna. Just one more chance!"
"Nope. Bye! CONNOR!!!" I yelled for him and about ten seconds later he was in the room. Jordan shrunk back at the sight of the dark-skinned, 6'3" man who carried a gun on him, and started to beg at me to take him back.
"Make him leave please. He won't." My eyes filled with tears as the initial anger was wearing off and I sat on the edge of my bed, a single tear slipping from my green eyes as Connor made Jordan leave the room, getting another man to escort him out. Connor then came and sat beside me, putting an arm around my shoulders and I leaned into him, crying.
"He- he was just another gold digger, Connor. And it hurts so bad!" I cried into his shoulder. He hushed me and whispered back to me.
"Don't worry. You'll find better than him eventually."
~~~
"That boy did what?"
"He cheated on me."
Dad put his head in his hands. "Oh, darling. I'm so sorry. C'mere." He held out his arms and gave me a little hug. I hugged him back and sniffed slightly, determined not to ruin my eyeliner.
"It's okay dad. I'm over it. We were only together for like, two months."
"Wasn't your five month anniversary last week?" He asked, pulling away and laughing.
"Meh, potato potato, what's the difference. I'm not sad, just pissed." I shrugged.
"Language." He reminded me playfully.
"Sorry." He gave me a pat on the shoulder.
"Anyway, I have work and you have school, so bye," he gave me a quick kiss on the forehead. "See you at dinner."
"Bye dad!" I waved at him as he left the door and looked down at my phone which had been buzzing in my Prada handbag the whole time. The screen filled with messages from everyone, about me and Jordan. He had obviously told his friend who had then told everyone.
Gee, talk about gossip.
Oh well, sucks to be him. I'm not the one who made the mistake so. I finished eating my breakfast, and went back up to my room to get ready for school. I made sure to pick out an extra cute outfit today so I could let Jordan know the mistake he made; a black skirt that stopped just a little below my butt cheek, a pinky-nude coloured crop top and a pair of black heels. I loosely curled my honey blonde hair with the straighteners and kept it in place with a little hairspray, and put on some make up. Not too much, but not too little. I paired the outfit with a nice pair of earrings and a pretty black Micheal Kors handbag.
When I came downstairs, I jumped into my car and put on a pair of sunglasses against the hot sun. Conor got in beside me and I drove to school. The thing I liked about Conor was that, even though he was a great bodyguard, he wasn't too overbearing. Just little things, like letting me drive instead of him, or not sticking directly by my side when I'm on a date or shopping with my friends. He would usually do his own thing on those times, but still be within quick reach.
When we arrived at school, I parked in my usual spot beside my two best friends cars - Dani and Rosa - and waved at them. They spotted me and smiled as I made my way over to them. I pushed my sunglasses up on my head as everyone watched me. I was one of the most popular people in the school, everyone loved me. Sort of. The least popular people obviously thought I was some sort of stuck up, snobby, rich bitch. But they were wrong.
Not to get big headed, but I'm actually a very kind and considerate person. I know that I am an extremely lucky girl to have been born to such a successful man as my father, and that there are millions of people across the world who live lives of poverty, and I don't look down on them. Most of the time, money corrupts people. But my dad and mom, God rest her, raised me to understand that I am not any better than a less wealthy person just because I have money.
I gave Rosa and Dani a quick hug and Dani spoke first.
"Hey, you okay? I heard about Jordan, he's such an asshole!" I smiled at her.
"I'm fine. Once I know they're just there for the money and sex, I get over it real quick." I assured both of them that I was okay, and we made our way into school. I smiled at the receptionist as I walked in and she smiled back before going back to talking to a boy at the desk. He was new, I hadn't seen him before. He caught my eye and I smiled at him too, but he just rolled his eyes and looked away. I frowned, but covered it up again.
I went to my locker, which unfortunately wasn't beside Dani or Rosa's, and took out the books I needed. I had maths first, and then biology, business studies and art. After that was lunch and then it was a double of English and last period was Spanish. As I was checking the time on my phone, the person next to me slammed their locker shut loudly and gave me a fright that I made a small sound of shock. I closed my locker and saw the boy from the desk.
I smiled at him. "Hey! You must be new here, I haven't seen you before," I said kindly. "You gave me a fright there, I'm not used to anyone using that locker."
He just gave me a blank look with his brown - nearly black - eyes, and adjusted the strap of his schoolbag. Now I was looking at him properly, I saw he was quite muscled, and had a slight stubble on his jaw. He was very good looking, and his hair was a dark black.
"Why don't you mind your own business? I have a class to get to." He snapped at me, and I took a startled step back.
I'd never met anyone who reacted to a welcome like that, so... pessimistic, I guess. It was different, to say the least.
"O-oh," I said, a small stammer in my voice. I looked away from him. "Okay. Sort for annoying you... I guess." I turned around and quickly walked away to my first class and left him there, feeling slightly taken aback.
Maths passed by in a blur, as did my other classes until it was my favourite time of day.
Lunchtime.
Dani, Rosa and I were all in the line when the boy from this morning came to mind.
"Hey, do you guys know anything about the new guy in school?" I asked them, and they instantly nodded their heads.
"Yes, oh my god! He's sooo hot! You should totally go out with him. It would make Jordan jealous as fuck." Rosa said quickly, and Dani agreed.
"I... I don't think so. I don't think it'd be nice to do that to him." I frowned a little. I loved my two friends, but they were just a little less logical about stuff like that.
"Oh sweetie," Dani said. "You're too nice. I guess your right. He's a total bad boy though, and he might not be good for you. He hasn't really spoken to anyone at all except for some of the football team."
"He seems like that. I spoke to him this morning and he wasn't very welcoming... PIZZA!!!" I said excitedly as we got to the top of the line and I saw that pizza was an option today. I filled my plate with three slices and grabbed a bottle of water. I went to our table, which was already quite full, and sat down. Rosa and Dani soon followed, and we shared a look as we caught sight of Jordan at the far end of the table.
"Well shit, he doesn't look to good." Dani giggled and I smiled at her. She was right, Jordan looked a right mess. His hair wasn't quite as perfect as it usually was and he had bags under his eyes, not to mention the mournful look on his face as he picked through his food and stared at the table.
"His loss, not mine. He shouldn't have cheated on me." My smile faltered for a moment before I put my brace face back up.
A few minutes later, I was devouring my last pizza slice when the girls started staring at something, or more, someone. I looked round and laughed at the sight I saw. Jordan was wincing as a girl with a fiery temper swore and yelled at him in fast Spanish, slapping him in the face and then spotting me. She then pointed at me and started to yell at him some more. I knew who she was by the necklace around her neck.
Mary.
At this stage I was in stitches laughing as she practically handed his ass to him on a silver platter. Eventually she stopped and with a final cuss word, left him there, whimpering like a small lost puppy. She came over to our table and looked me up and down as I wiped a tear from my eye.
"You must be Luna?" She asked me.
"Y-yes. And oh my lord, that was epic what you did back there. Showing him up like that? Teaches him a life lesson." I laughed and out my hand out to her, smiling. "Mary?"
"Yup." She smiled back at me. "And thank you, he deserves it for playing us both like that."
"Sit with us, I have have a good feeling we're going to be friends."
She sat down and I felt someone looking at me. I looked up the table, only to find those deep brown eyes staring at me curiously.
~~~~
Mary turned out be a lovely girl, she was kind yet not the slightest bit scared of anyone and definitely didn't shy away from confronting people. Exhibit A, Jordan. At first, I wasn't expecting us to get along because of Jordan, but once I realised she had no idea about me either we were chatting away like we'd known each other all our lives.
She was part Spanish and part French, and had a beautiful accent. She was a beautiful girl too, big green eyes with a fleck of gold in them, and wavy black hair to her waist. Her skin was a dark tan and she had a unique sense of style. Not weird, but she stood out front the crowd in the good way. That's what made me take such a liking to her.
Every now and again Jordan would look down at us with a mix of anger and sadness, gripping his fork tightly. We would just share a look and giggle a little every time.
"So." I said. "How come I haven't seen you around before?" She smiled at me and shrugged.
"Dunno. I guess even though I can stand out, I never really bothered trying to make any kind of name for myself. Not like you." I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Me? I never knew I had some sort of name people gave me. I know I'm well known, but not like that."
"Yea," she said, taking a sip of her drink. "Some of the less known people call you the Malibu Barbie of the school."
"They think she's plastic?" Dani asked. Mary quickly shook her head.
"Oh, no not like that. They think your gorgeous and kind and smart - all like Barbie I guess. Plus you look like her." She explained, and our mouths formed a small 'o' shape. I smiled quickly.
"Well, I guess it's quite a compliment, so thanks to them I guess." We all laughed.
It's true, waist length blonde hair, big blue eyes and clear fair skin; I guess I was a little Barbie-like.
The bell rang and we groaned, grabbing our bags from under the table.
"Ugh, I have English now with Ms. McParland." Mary complained. I gasped excitedly.
"Oh, me and Rosa too!" Rosa smiled and Dani grumbled.
"I'm stuck in Spanish." She made a face and I chuckled. We kept chatting about our favourite and least favourite teachers and classes as we walked to class. Eventually, we laughed as Dani huffed away on her own to Spanish, and we reached English.
I smiled at the teacher as I walked in and sat at the front of the class, Rosa and Mary either side of me. I set my books on the desk and Mrs. McParland began to take the register.
"Luna."
"Here miss."
"Mary."
"Here."
"Octavia."
"Present miss."
"Patrick-James." The classroom door slammed open at that, and the whole class looked around to see a very wet, very rebellious and very sexy boy from this morning.
"It's PJ." He said, and Ms. McParland marked him in and then asked where he had been.
"In the gym. I didn't go to lunch." He told her, and I swear I heard a few girls sigh dreamily.
"Well, you're late. Sit in that empty seat." I didn't bother looking around at him as he went to the back of he class because as snappy as he might have been this morning, I knew I would end up staring like every other love struck Juliet in the class.
"Okay class, so today we're going to be doing a group project." Ms McParland started, and I heard a few people groan. I looked excitedly at Mary and Rosa, and then looked back at the teacher.
"I know it's a Monday, guys. I know. You don't want to do this. But this presentation will affect your grade on your end of year exams report, so you need to do well." I raised my hand. "Yes, Luna."
"Do we get to be in our own groups?" I asked. I crossed my fingers under my desk and the entire class held its breath...
"... No." I sighed in disappointment, as did the rest o the class. "I have already chosen the groups." she continued.
"So. Group one: Mary, Rosa, Oliver and Fred." Mary and Rosa smiled at each other, and gave me a sad look as they walked over to the two boys. I couldn't help but laugh at them, with their big puppy dog eyes.
"Group two: Octavia, Callum, Lucy..." Ms McParland continued to call names until there was only a handful of students left to give a group.
"And the last group, Group six: Luna, Sarah, PJ and Oliver." She said, and I turned around and saw PJ roll his eyes at my smile.
What is his problem?
Sarah, PJ and I went over to the far left corner at the back of the room. I looked around.
"Wasn't there supposed to be four of us?" I asked. Just then I heard a boy speak.
"Miss, I'm already in group one." It was Oliver, an right enough, he was in group one already. Miss frowned and looked down at her page.
"Oh, sorry Oliver. Group six is meant to be; Luna, Sarah, PJ and... Jordan."
My heart stopped.
I think it literally stopped for a split second.
I felt sick to my stomach and I physically just wanted to throw myself off a three story building.
Oh, shit.
