Chapter 10
*My POV*
We had taken Eddie back to his mom's, and she yanked him away from us. "You. You did this. You know how delicate he is." Mrs. K said. "We were attacked, Mrs. K." Bill stuttered. "No. Don't. Don't try and blame anyone else." She said closing the door as she got Eddie in her car.
She fumbled with her keys causing them to fall to the ground. "Let me help." Beverly said as she went to get the keys. "Get back!" Mrs. K yelled at Beverly, and we looked at her shocked. "Oh, I've heard of you Miss Marsh. And I don't want a dirty girl like you touching my son." Mrs. K said.
"Mrs. K, I swear..." Bill stuttered but he was cut off. "No! You are all monsters. All of you. And Eddie is done with you. Do you hear? Done!" Mrs. K said before walking over to the drivers side and drove off once she got the engine started.
We watched as they drove off as we stand in the street. "I saw the well. We know where it is and next time, we'll be better prepared." Bill said. "No! No next time, Bill. You're insane." Stan said and we looked at him.
"Why? We all know no one else is going to do anything." Beverly said. "Eddie was nearly killed! And look at this motherfucker. He's leaking Hamburger Helper!" Richie said gesturing to Ben who was still bleeding.
"We can't pretend it's gonna go away. Ben, you said it yourself, It comes back every 27 years." I said looking at him. "Fine! I'll be 40 and far away from here. I thought you said you wanted to get out of this town, too." Ben said looking at Beverly.
"Because I want to run towards something. Not away." Beverly said "I'm sorry, who invited Molly Ringwald into the group?" Richie asked, causing Beverly to flip him off. "Richie--" Stan said but stopped.
"I'm just saying, let's face facts. Real world. Georgie is dead. Stop trying to get us killed, too." Richie said and he went to walk away, but Bill stopped him. "Georgie's not dead." Bill said firmly.
"You couldn't save him, but you can still save yourself." Richie said. "Richie!" I said shocked he would say something like that. Richie tried to walk away again, but Bill stopped him. "No, take it back." Bill stuttered.
"Richie, we're all scared." I said trying to calm the situation. "We all are, but take it back!" Bill said before shoving Richie. Richie shoved Bill back, before Bill took a swing at Richie sending him to the ground.
"Bill!" I said shocked. Richie got up and tried to fight Bill but Stan and Mike held him back as Ben and I held Bill back. "You're just a bunch of losers!" Richie said. "Richie, stop." Mike said. "Fuck off!" Richie shouted as we all struggled.
"Bill!" Ben said holding Bill back with me. "You're just a bunch of losers and you'll get yourselves killed trying to catch a fucking stupid clown." Richie said. "Stop! This is what It wants. It wants to divide us. We were all together when we hurt It." Beverly said getting between all of us.
"That's why we're still alive." I said looking at them all. "Yeah? Well, I plan to keep it that way." Richie said and walked past us and shoved his shoulder into Bill's. Stan joined him, along with Ben and Mike.
"Mike..." I said softly. "Guys... I can't do this. My granddad was right. I'm an outsider. Gotta stay that way." Mike said before getting on his bike and riding away like the others did. Beverly, Bill and I looked at each other as they did.
| A few months later |
After the fight, all of us went our separate ways. We barely saw each other and barely spoke to each other. I hung out with Bill still to stay close and to not be alone.
*3rd POV*
Bowers and his friends were outside his house. Bowers shot a class bottle. It was August. "Yeah! Bonus!" Belch said. "Yeah, there we go. Put the next target out there." Bowers said as he pointed at a cat.
Belch looked at him like he was crazy, before he walked forward and picked it up and held it in place. "Just hold it." He told Belch. "What the hell's going on here?" A voice asked and Bowers turned slowly to his father.
"Just cleaning your gun like you asked." Bowers said as he faced his father. "You're cleaning my gun, huh?" His father asked. "Dad..." Bowers began but was cut off. "Hey!" He said causing Bowers to flinch.
His father began walking away with his gun. But he turned back and shot at the ground near Bowers, causing them all to flinch, specifically Bowers, who was shaking while whimpering. "Look at him now, boys. Ain't nothing like a little fear to make a paper man crumble." He said before walking into the house.

Eddie walked into the pharmacy and towards the counter. He now had a cast on his arm letting his broken arm heal. "Here for the refills, Eddie?" Mr. Keene asked. "Yeah." Eddie said. Mr. Keene went into the back, and Gretta lowered her magazine.
"You know it's all bullshit, right?" Gretta asked Eddie, who was avoiding eye contact with her. "What is?" Eddie asked. "Your medication. They're placebos." Gretta said. "What's placebo mean?" Eddie asked confused.
"Placebo means bullshit. No friends, huh? Your cast. No signatures or anything? So sad." Gretta said faking a tear. "I didn't want it to get dirty." Eddie said, lying through his teeth. "I'll sign it for you." Gretta said before walking over. She grabbed a sharpie and began writing LOVER, but put an S over the V.

Bowers was sitting in front of Belch's car, taking a moment to breathe after his moment with his father. "You okay, Henry?" Belch asked. Bowers had his head down, but he looked up only to see an odd sight.
He got up and walked to his mailbox and as he got closer, he saw a red balloon. He opened the mailbox to find a box. He grabbed it and opened it. He shakily dropped the lid as he grabbed his knife.
Soon enough, he walked into his house quietly and saw his father passed out on the chair. He slowly walked to his father as he held his knife which was out. He looked at the TV. The TV was talking to him, repeating 'Kill him' as he had his knife to his father's neck.
He clicked the knife into his father's neck, and he slowly began to bleed out as Pennywise appeared on the TV, staring at Bowers before he walked away.

Beverly put a journal in her bag, and she walked to the door, only to find it with a bigger lock. "Where are you sneaking off to?" Her father asked from behind her. She turned to look at him. "Nowhere, Daddy." Beverly stutters.
"You're looking prettied up." Her dad said. "I'm not prettied up, Daddy. I wear this almost every day." Beverly said. "Come." Her dad said and she put her bag down and walked to him slowly letting him hold her hand.
"You know I worry about you, Bevvie." He said. "I know." She said. "People in town have been saying some things to me about you. Sneaking around all summer long with a bunch of boys and a girl. You two being the only girls in the pack." Beverly said.
"They're just friends. I swear." Beverly told him. "I know what's in boys' minds when they look at you, Bevvie. I know all too well." Her father said. "My hand..." Beverly said as her father began squeezing it too tightly.
"Are you doing womanly things down in the woods with those boys and that girl?" Her father asked. "No, no, no, nothing. You don't have to worry. I promise." Beverly said trying to get free. Her father suddenly held up the postcard.
"What's this?" He asked. "It's nothing. It's just a poem." She said. "Just a poem? But you had to hide it in your underwear drawer. Why would you have to hide it there?" He asked as Beverly kept trying to get her hand free causing him to hold it tighter.
He looked away before looking back at her. "Are you still my girl?" He asked. "No." Beverly said as she began fighting to get her hand free. "What did you say?" He asked. "I said, no!" Beverly shouted, as she got free.
Her father walked towards her, before grabbing her legs, and pinning her to the ground. "Those boys. Do they know that you're my--" He began but was cut off as Beverly kicked him in his dick, before kicking his face.
Beverly ran off and into the bathroom. She locked the door and looked to the side. Her father walked down the hallway, before seeing the bathroom door shut. He walked to it, and found it locked.
He walked away before turning and kicking the door open. He walked to the tub, and opened the shower curtain, only to get hit upside the head by Beverly. She walked around his body, before turning, only to be grabbed by the throat by Pennywise.
*My POV*
Bill and I were on our bikes, before checking the time. We rode to Beverly's place, only to find the door wide open. "Beverly?" I asked as we walked towards her room, before seeing something.
We went to the bathroom to find her dad on the ground, bleeding from the head, before we looked into her room. Written in blood on the ceiling was 'YOU DIE IF YOU TRY'. We ran out of the apartment. "Beverly!" Bill said.
Soon enough, we were at the arcade and found Richie. "Richie." Bill said as we approached him quickly. "What do you want? See that guy I'm hitting? I'm pretending it's you." Richie said as he was playing Street Fighter.
"It got Beverly." Bill stuttered. "What are you talking about?" Richie asked. "It, Richie. It got Beverly." I said and he faced us. Soon enough, we had everyone but Eddie.
*3rd POV*
Eddie was sitting at the table before hearing the phone ring. He got up and answered. "Hello? Okay. I'll meet you there." Eddie said as he began going to the door, but his mother stepped in the way.
"And just where do you think you're off to?" She asked him. "Out with my friends." Eddie said. "Sweetie, you can't go. You're getting over your sickness, remember?" She asked. "My sickness? Okay, what sickness, Ma?" Eddie asked before getting his medicine out of his fanny pack.
"You know what these are? They're gazebos! They're bullshit!" He shouted slamming the pills onto the ground. She looked at the pills before looking at her son. "They help you, Eddie. I had to protect you." She said.
"Protect me? By lying to me? By keeping me locked inside this hellhole? I'm sorry, but the only people that were actually trying to protect me were my friends. And you made me turn my back on them when I really needed them. So, I'm going." Eddie said walking past his mother. "Eddie. Eddie. No." She said going after him.
*My POV*
We were riding our bikes quickly and we soon arrived at Neibolt and got off our bikes as we looked up at the house. We walked before staring at the house, as if it were staring back at us.
