Jack's P.O.V.

I started up my new TARDIS and I was surprised when I remembered what they taught me in the Academy. First, press this button, then that button, then pull that lever. I smiled when she hummed under my fingertips. My teacher said that if she did not hum, then she did not like you.

I always laughed when he said that. I did not realize that TARDISes were beings too. TARDISes felt more pain and suffering than we did.

We Timelords can see all of time, but very little space. That is where our TARDISes come in. They hold every record of every life and planet.

I fell onto the floor of my TARDIS and held my head in my hands. Every cell in my mind was opening up to new information. Oh, It was very painful. My TARDIS apologized to me for hurting me. I knew it wasn't her fault.

Finally, the pain subsided. When I stood up, I grinned. I had more information inside my mind than ever before. I placed a hand on the console and pulled a lever.

We were flying through space, but there was something I had to do before we went anywhere. I had to watch my planet burn.

I walked over to the doors and opened them. I sat down and looked out at the horizon. Tears fell down my face and I watched as the flames engulfed my home.

Suddenly, I saw something fly out of the flames. It flew in the opposite direction that I was flying, but I will never forget what it looked like. I will never forget that blue box.
