Very formal, used for someone in higher rank than yourself

A male friend around teens. If used by a girl means they are very close.

Chan

Used for babies, youngsters (lol), or even teenagers. The speaker finds the person endearing.

Senpai

A classmate who is older than you

Shi

Mostly used in letters but says you know basically nothing of the person

Sensei

A teacher (Ehem ME)
