Elsa's POV

My mind was buzzing with the dance all afternoon. I was dying to find Jack and find out if he was going, and if he was asking me. I finally got my chance at lunch.

"Hey Jack! Can we talk?" I asked. He looked uncomfortable once he saw me.

"Sure Elsa. What's up?" He said.

"I was thinking about the incident, and I can see how that would've looked bad. I'm ready to fully forgive you."

"Oh. Oh! Great! Thanks Elsa!"

"No problem. By the way, what do you think of the Star Dance?"

"Uh... it's boring. Really boring. Much more entertaining to go to the next dance. I don't usually go to dances anyway."

"Why not?"

"No one to go with."

"I'm the same way too. No one ever asked me, and I never had friends to go with. What if you and me went together? Then neither of us is alone."

"You and me? Uh, I can't. Sorry. I'm busy that day. I'm helping my mom." My heart fell.

"Oh. Ok. That's too bad." I said.

"But we can go to the next dance together." Jack promised.

"Ok. I would really like that." I told him. Jack smiled weakly, then glanced at his watch.

"Ugh, I've got to go. See you after school?" He asked hopefully.

"Sure." I replied. Jack stood up and left, quickly vanishing into the crowd. Then Pitch appeared, much like a ghost would. He sat down next to me and smiled. I frowned.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Look, I'm really sorry Elsa. I was just trying to cheer you up."

"Yeah well, great job."

"I'm really really sorry. Can I make it up to you?"

"No."

"What if I told you I bought two tickets to the Star Dance?"

"No thanks."

"Please Elsa? Just give me one more chance." Pitch begged. I sighed.

"Ok. I'll go to the dance with you."

"Thanks Elsa. You won't regret it." I probably would, but who was I if I didn't offer second chances?
