Please don't let them look

"It looks great in here." Grandma Violet admires my room as she brings in a plate of milk and cookies.
"Thanks, it's still a working progress." Some strands of hair flew into my eyes and with a puff they flew effortlessly, only to fall back into their original place.
"Come here, dear." Grandma chuckled. She placed the savory cookies and milk on the vanity. I smiled at her and walked over. She took my hair tie, out of its place and braided my hair nicely.
"That should keep your hair out of your eyes." Grandma nodded happily and I grinned gratefully.
"Thanks, Gran." I thanked her again, she nodded as she looked around my room, one final time.
"It's chilly in here, ain't it?" Grandma rubbed her arms.
"It is. Sometimes it feels like it's below zero! It's the strangest thing." I shivered at the thought and Grandma shook her head.
"I've got to call the gas company. They'll find the problem with the heat." Grandma muttered as she exited my room.
"That would be great." I raised my voice slightly so she could hear. I sighed, turning my body to face the window.
The leaves were all sorts of lovely autumn shades. Reds, yellows, ambers, browns, and greens. Natural beauty at its finest. Autumn, in my opinion, was the best time for photography.
As I admired the work of Mother Nature, I heard a grinding noise coming from behind me.
I turned around to see my glass of milk and plate of cookies. The milk looked a little out of place, but I thought nothing of it. I had looked all around me, trying to find what made the disturbing noise.
As strange as it was, I ignored it and turned back towards the window.
The grinding started again.
The uncomfortable sound of two objects rubbing against each other, like fingernails scratching against wood.
The squeaking and scratching became almost unbearable as I whipped my body around to face it.
Again, nothing.
Turning back around, the grinding started once again. The shivers went down my spine like a slithering snake as I looked from a side glance.
I saw my glass of milk dragging across the dresser.
I screamed and the glass flew across the room crashing into the wall as it shattered to pieces. The pure, white milk dripped down the wall slowly. and ran up, making the shape of what appeared to be letters.
I watched in horror as the milk spelled out a phrase. Once the phrase was clear, the words ran down the wall, making one large white puddle, and fading forever.
My body, frozen with shock and fear, couldn't move as I repeated the message in my mind, "Welcome to Hell".
"Lilith, Lilith?! Are you okay?" Grandma exclaimed, out of breath as she entered my room.
By now, the milk was all over the floor and there was no sign of the disturbing message anywhere.
Grandma looked down at the shattered glass of milk and visibly frowned at me.
"How could this have happened?" She watched me curiously and I shook my head vigorously at her.
"I-It- I just don't know." I managed to get out. Grandma Violet nodded and began to retreat slowly back to the door.
"I'll just get some towels and the broom." She mumbled and went on her way.
I stared down at the shattered glass.
Welcome to hell.
The words echoed in my head, making it throb in pain.
Hell? I didn't know what that meant.
Is this some sort of haunted house?
Is my grandmother some sort of secret witch?
What if I die in my sleep?
Holy hell, I just saw a supernatural occurrence.
All thoughts raced through my mind at an abnormal speed. Curiosity and wonder were replaced by fear and anxiety. This event that took place had taken over my mind and thought process.
This was not normal.
Whatever just happened, does not occur on an everyday basis.
"I'll just clean this up, dear." Grandma came back with her towels and broom just as she promised.
"Don't bother, Gran, I'm sleeping on the couch tonight." I grinned at her reassuringly.
