It had been about two weeks since the threesome, surprisingly things weren't awkward. Kate had gone back to pick up Alley and was looking for a new home to buy, the boys had tried to help her look but always fought over what kind of house was better. Kate had her eyes on a medium sized house that had a large backyard, and wasn't really in a big neighborhood. It was a quiet neighbourhoo. with friendly people. Kate, alley and the boys were staying in a hotel, since the threesome Kate was burdened with morning sickness, so without the boys knowing, Kate slipped out in the night to buy a pregnancy test.

The results were something Kate wasn't sure she wanted. It was positive. Kate panicked and threw the test in the trash, but didn't really hide it well, so when Kate was reading her book and saw dean walk towards her in a ticked off manner she knew something was up

"What's up?" Kate asked as dean marched towards her, the test in his hand

Dean marched toward her the little pink and white piece of plastic in hand- he held it up to her face "your pregnant?"

Kate looked away "yes, I am." She said in a small voice. Kate stood and walked around the man to go to the kitchen, a pathetic attempt at walking away from the conversation

He followed her "well...." he grabbed her shoulder turning her toward him "who's is it?..." he looked at her his jaw clenched his eyes aggravated "who's the dad Kate.."

"I-I don't know yet, it's too early to tell. I'm sorry but i didn't know how to tell you." Kate said shrugging softly.

"Does Sam know?" He stared down at her "it could be his too, so does he know?"

She shook her head "no, I didn't tell anyone. It wasn't important to tell since i was-" Kate's sentence faded , what was she going to do with it? Kill it? Run away

He led her back to the living room and sat her down "Kate.." his look softened "Kate..are you gonna keep it." He paused taking a breath "it's your body..so what do you want to do..."

"I don't know, dean! What am I supposed to do? I kept Alley but that's because I couldn't afford to get an abortion, i love her but, to go through nine months of hell and emotions? I don't think I can mentally. I just need time, bring sam here. He needs to know"

Dean nodded and picked up the phone calling Sam.

He answered shortly after

Once Sam got to the motel Kate sat him down "Samuel, here" she said, handing him the test

"It's just sa-yooourrrpregnant.." he hesitated slightly looking up at her wide eyed

Kate sighed "yes, I am. Dean found the test in the trash" she said looking down

He points to the test awkwardly "who's is it?..do you know?"

"No dean already asked me, it's too early to tell, he was at first rather harsh about it. " Kate said folding her arms. "And I can't believe it took you this long to figure it out dean, you knew your mother Mary had the same kind of morning sickness as I did and you didn't even pay attention!" Kate said.

"Excuse me she's been dead for a while now-forgive me for forgetting, I just thought you had food poisoning or something"

"and you didn't think to ask?! What kind of boyfriend are you?!" Kate yelled. "At least Sam asked-" she looked over at him to see his smug smile "once!" She added seeing his smile drop

The brothers looked at each other "look all that matters now is- what do you want to do.." Sam added he looked worried

Kate was silent for a moment "I'll keep it. If you don't want to be in it's life, then I won't be mad. I understand." Kate said boldly.

"Why would I not want to?" Dean said sure that it was his, he grabbed both of Kate's hands looking at her reassuringly

"Dean, I was speaking to both of you about this. We don't know who's the father. You two can't go assuming it's you that's the father and not the other one. Are we clear." Kate asked taking her hands away from Dean's. Like hell, she didn't want any arguments about who's the daddy. "And dean, you may have raised Sam but he wasn't a newborn, nor were you dealing with a pregnant woman. You both don't know the struggle it will be." Kate said firmly.

"Besides dean there are so many reasons why you wouldn't want to. You'd be happy to have it at first but..after a week. You'd be wanting out the door" she added

Dean sighed "what do you want me to do kate..I could give up hunting- lead the normal life you've always wanted

Kate smiled sadly "I can't ask you to do that dean, people need saving. And what about Sam? He needs his brother. And look he tried to have a normal life, and look where it got him. Face it you can't give up hunting, it's a part of you." Kate sighed. Bringing a hand up to his cheek and stroking it. "You can't change your lifestyle Dean."

Sam sighed "but dean has a point, if he continued hunting then, what if this child grew up to hunt..it could have a future a dream..but if it ends up a hunter that's all gone and you know it Kate."

"Sam. Stop, I'm not saying he continues hunting with me in his life. But I just need time!" Kate said turning to leave the room to take a walk, slamming the door behind her

Dean turned to Sam "did I say something wrong.." Sam rolled his eyes "shut up dean.." and with that Sam left to the store, maybe some food can help calm Kate down
