Jeremiah's funeral was held on a cloudy wintery day, three days later. Kara and Alex had been skipping school to grieve with Eliza. But as the casket was lowered into the ground, Kara held tightly to Alex's hand. Whatever had gone wrong on Jeremiah's mission with the D.E.O had caused his death. For that reason, the D.E.O was to blame. They had been the cause of many deaths including a teenaged girl by the name of Crystal.

A nudge to Kara's side from Alex forced her to look in the direction that Alex was gesturing to with her chin. Standing amongst the gathered friends and family of Jeremiah Danvers was Agent Hank Henshaw. Alex shook her head angrily and whispered into Kara's ear. I bet he's the one responsible... He did this... and we need to avenge my father." 

Kara nodded. She had been thinking those exact words. Jeremiah's death would not go unpunished. Justice would be served. Because Kara swore to fight for justice... just as her cousin was doing in Metropolis.

Kara scanned the other guests until her eyes rested on a boy who she knew would help her bring down the D.E.O and protect the town of Midvale from their persecution... That boy with his exceptional suit, Jaime Reyes!
