@dawnofgraphics_ (tutorial) | part nineteen

Hello, fellow graphic designers and friends! Welcome to the first tutorial of this graphic portfolio XD I'll be doing a tutorial on how I made my "Timeless Touch" graphic, but be warned that I am absolutely horrible at describing the steps. So if you've got a question or are confused with a particular step, just comment down below or send me a PM so I can help you~

-

STEP ONE

Open IbisPaint > My Gallery and click on the "+" option. Either import your canvas using the Import Picture option or enter the canvas size given in the screenshot above. Click "OK" to continue.

STEP TWO

Honestly, this isn't really a step, it's just an overall view of what my layers looked like? Ah well, I'll just tell you what the options under the preview are. The Import Photo option (the one that looks like a camera) is basically used to add images, the Duplicate Layer option (the one to the left) is used to copy layers, and the New Layer option (the one to the far most left) is used to open a new layer. These three are important options, so just remember them~

STEP THREE

Add your sci-fi texture (the one given above) using the Import Photo option. Copy the layer using the Duplicate Layer option and change the blend mode to Soft Light.

STEP FOUR

Add your render (the one given above) and change its blend mode to Lighten. Copy the layer and change the blend mode to Colour Burn. Copy the layer again.

STEP FIVE

Next, copy the layer with the sci-fi texture and change the blend mode to Lighten. Copy the layer again and change the blend mode to Soft Light.

STEP SIX

Open a new layer and choose your colour (preferably a dark shade as given above) from the Colour Picker. Click on the Brush option (the one on the left of the Colour Picker) and resize the brush to the max. Colour your layer and change it's blend mode to Lighten.

STEP SEVEN

Now open another layer and using the same process as Step Six, colour your layer with a colour of your choice. Change the blend mode of your layer to Color as given in the above screenshot.

STEP EIGHT

Lastly, copy the previous layer and change the blend mode to Soft Light. Save the image and add your text in Phonto. Add a lighting texture (if you want) and you're done!

BONUS

Save the image in IbisPaint by clicking on the option to the Left of the three dots. The best option to save the image would be as a PNG, since it's the one with the best quality~

BONUS #2

I added the text (as given above) in Phonto on a transparent background and then added it in IbisPaint. I also lightened it a little so it would be more visible~

BONUS #3

A few tutorials on how to use IbisPaint. They're not by me, but they were really helpful when I first started using IbisPaint so hopefully, they'll be helpful for you too!

Finally, we're done! Gosh, this was longer than I expected, but I hoped it helped you ;w; Again, if you have any questions just comment down below and I'll answer them. You can also request tutorials on any other graphics or just a tutorial in general. Also, if you could, please give me some tips on how to find resources? I've been running out of mine, so I've just been looking for tips on how to find some xD

Yours truly,
Crystal
