I don't own Danny Phantom or the Avengers.

WARNING: I'm not going to follow The Avengers timeline. My story takes place after the first movie and Loki becomes good. My knowledge of them (talking about the movies), is the first movie of Iron Man and Thor, Avengers and The Age of Ultron. I haven't watch Civil War.

It's has been a year since the battle of New York, the team is living in the Avengers Tower and my genius mind has been occupied by all the gadgets that I could make for all of us. I mean, I made the arc reactor in a cave, of course, I could make awesome things for all of us. Legolas was more than happy with his specialized arrows, his modified suit (that makes it easier to slide or grip onto different surfaces) and the quiver with 3D printing technology (it still takes a bit of time to make the arrows, but it's better than having none in the middle of a mission). After that, I made some mini-computers like watches that could connect with JARVIS at any time. It would help with Cap's education of the present and the two Asgardians questions. They also work as a communication and standard hacking device (for dear Tasha). Then I simply made some adjustments to our current suits or in Brucie's case made him some pants that would stretch and shrink with him (everyone agreed that the Hulk would look weird in a full body suit).

Really, everything was going great; our fights had become rare (or more playful), the integration of Loki to the team was hard, but amends were made quickly enough and we were at peace even if I felt like something was missing. Whenever Pepper's around and I complained about it, she tells me that I'm being a drama queen (Who me? Yo? Moi? Nope!). Of course, something told me to prepare myself because things were about to turn ugly. Next time I saw Pepper, I just knew I was right and for once I didn't want to be right.

- Hey, Pepper! How's my favorite CEO?

- Tony, I must inform you of something important. – said Pepper while taking a seat diagonally of Tony in the main living room of the tower (this being the one that the Avengers share since everyone has one on their own floors)

- Oh, I know that face, the "it's shocking news for everyone, but especially for you". So, shoot and don't be gentle. – said Tony while thinking about getting a glass of whiskey

- I received a call from a social worker by the name Sarah Sans and she informed me of a few things. – Pepper paused to gather her thoughts and then continue – Firstly, she told me that you had a legally recognized step-sister known as Madeline "Maddie" Fenton, known as such after her marriage. – Pepper paused again while carefully watching Tony's reactions, after knowing him for so long she could see a bit of surprise and a heavy dose of dread, but he nodded and Pepper continued – Secondly, she informed me of...her dead and... - Tony stopped her with his raised hand

- Mimi's dead. – said Tony quietly, barely above a whisper, and then he stood up to go get his drink. He took the drink and finished it in one gulp, he pours some more and then sat down. Taking a breath and then letting it out, he motions for Pepper to continue.

- Tony, she died with most of her family in a restaurant explosion and it happened just a few hours ago close to ten in the morning, so for us at eleven. Mrs. Sans didn't provide any details because the investigation has only begun, but she told me that the only survivor was Madeline's second child. – Pepper paused to give Tony and herself a second to process things – He's sixteen years old and Madeline left you the possibility of custody of him. This could occur if both parties agree since he has another choice, but I wasn't given the name of the other person. She said that as soon as the boy agrees she would call back, listen to your response, send us his full info and later deal with the paperwork. –

After that there was silence and Pepper waited until I calmed down. But it was hard, Mimi's dead with most of her family (that I didn't get to meet) and now I'm going to take care of her youngest child. I feel like I need more than just one drink, but it's not the time for that.

- Pep, as soon as she calls pass me the call and later during the paperwork make sure that I have full custody of the kid and that everything that's rightfully his, is protected. Also, find out everything about the explosion and whatever professional help the kid might need. Then, when you get his info; send it to me, look for a new school or tutors and get me a meeting or a call with him. –

- Very well, I make sure of getting everything done. Now, how are you feeling and when do you plan on telling the team? –

- Well, it's a bit overwhelming, but I'll be fine. About the team, I'll tell them tomorrow...probably. –

- Okay, but a fair warning. – Pepper became quiet until I gave her my full attention or as much as I could (being a genius and all that) – Do not investigate the boy or his family! Wait until you get his files and then when you meet him and he tells you. In other words, NO HACKING! – with that said, Pepper left and I went to my lab (I needed to process everything and soon)

After hours of messing with different pieces of technology (more like breaking them to relieve a bit of stress) and thinking. I had reached the conclusion that I wanted to meet Daniel and I was relieved when Pepper said that he chose me. Anyways, during all that thinking there was a lot of planning; after all, I wanted Dan-Dan (that's so going to be one of his nicknames) to feel welcome in my life and in my tower that meant talking to the Avengers about everything. Although I have to wait until I get all the details, so waiting (procrastinating – Pepper's voice) to tell them at least until tomorrow is the best plan.

NEXT DAY

The sound of the most annoying alarm in the world wakes me up and the only way to turn it off is for me to get out of bed and into the bathroom to prove that I'm awake. The truth is that I only use it for important stuff and I made damn sure that Pep never knows of it (because she would abuse such power and that's a big NO). I'm already in the shower and I continue to think of a way to tell the team. After all, I don't think that just dropping the news in a normal conversation is acceptable, I mean I don't usually care but it's Mimi and her family we're talking about. Maybe tell them that I'm going to talk about something important and that it can't wait till breakfast, yeah that sounds about right. I wonder when Daniel will get here? I hope that is soon, but with enough time to prepare a room for him. With those thoughts, I finish my shower and in ten minutes I'm on my way to the main kitchen. The first thing that I notice is that the entire team is there. The second thing is that as soon as they saw me they looked expectantly at me. The third and last thing is that there is a lot of coffee and tea prepared.

- Good morning, sunshines! Did I miss something? – for a second they looked at each other and then Cap spoke

- Pepper left us a message that you had something important to tell us and that it couldn't wait until breakfast. – I was a bit surprised, but not much (I don't know if to love her more or if it creepy how well she knows me...I'm definitely letting her pick something nice for herself...again)

- Well, dear Cap you're correct! But first I need my coffee and then we'll talk. –

One hour later, I told them everything that I knew and they were a bit shocked, but they gave me their condolences and they had no problems with Daniel. Well, maybe a bit with his safety with living with us, but not enough to say no. We were in the middle of discussing which floor he should have when Pep arrived.

- Hey, Pep! Mission accomplished, so do you know when he's coming? –

- Good and yes, I received Mrs. Sans call just five minutes ago and she told me that Daniel will be here in a week. –

- Great, then start getting his room rea...wait, WHAT! A WEEK?!? –

- Yes, a week. She explained that Daniel needed to get many things in order before he could leave the town. Apparently, they had a family business that Daniel decided to take full control and she will be sending the information about it in half an hour. Also, she told me that in this case, he doesn't need your permission as his guardian when it becomes official. –

- But whyyy?!?! I thought that he would get here sometime today or tomorrow. What could the kid be doing that would take an entire week! I mean that couldn't take more than three days! –

- I don't know, but there's nothing you can do. –

After that, the morning was dull or at least for me it was. I felt a bit sad for two days straight and didn't come out of the lab until the third day. That day I decided to take action, I was planning on getting to Amity Park and meeting Dan-Dan, but Pep knows me too well. When I got to the kitchen to get my morning fuel (the heavens gift to humanity – coffee), she was there with her "no Tony" look.

- Come on, Pep! If he can't come to me, then I go to him and I can even help him. –

- Tony, I know that you want to meet him, but you have to wait and I don't think that he would appreciate an unannounced visit. Especially, if he already agreed that – now – in less than a week the two of you would meet. That being said, here's the list of schools and the full details of the explosion that the police was able to gather until now.

I, being the genius that I am, knew when I wouldn't win against Pepper so I took the papers and once again went to my Lab. There wasn't much that I could do with them; to choose a good school I needed to know more about Dan-Dan and the details of the explosion were scarce at best. It was caused by the overheating of the container of the "Nasty Sauce" and Mimi's family were there. But how was it possible that there weren't more people injured or dead? Something was missing and for once I was wary of what I may find. After an hour of looking at the same papers, I left to find Bruce and get his opinion on what to do until Dan-Dan came. I found him in his Lab (yeah, I know big surprise), but he looked a little bit stressed out.

- Bruce, you alright?

- What do you want? – said Bruce rather harshly

- Okay, so it something important that I completely missed. So that eliminates any of our projects going wrong and I keep an eye on yours, so that's also out. Then, I got nothing. Come on, Brucie, tell me what's wrong?

- Tony, think about it! A teenager that's a normal human is coming to stay with us! What if I lose control or something bad happens?!? – Bruce took a breath – I may have good control, but it could happen and I couldn't deal with... - I had to stop him and didn't hesitate in doing so

- Bruce, that's not going to happen, you have great control and I'm sure that Dan-Dan would understand. I mean he looks like a good kid, he's Mimi's son and he doesn't have criminal records; well, except that restraining order, but I feel like he is good.

- Alright, I guess you may be right, but the end wasn't for me. What are you anxious about?

- What if the kid doesn't like me? He's all I have of Mimi and I feel so many unwanted emotions! – I finish with a whine and Bruce smiled a little

- I think that you..that we be alright. Besides, if you feel so nervous then do what you do best.

- Yeah, what's that? –

- Make things for the kid and distract yourself until he arrives.

- That's a great idea! Now, why didn't I think of that! –

With that I went to the Lab, I had a lot of work ahead of me. Between the awesome room that I was going to make and some smaller gifts, I was sure that the four days that were left would be over before I even knew it.

I, of course, was right and barely two hours before we had to pick him up, I was finishing the last touches on the smaller gifts. Also, I was determined to leave my nerves in the back of my mind. The others were in the living room deciding who would come with me to get Dan-Dan; Bruce happily said that he would stay behind, Legolas wouldn't budge on his decision (he was going), Goldy Locks didn't mind staying behind, Loki wanted to go (he was curious and wanted to be one of the first to see him), Tasha and Cap though that we needed supervision so they would come (but I knew better and they were just as curious as Legolas). So, we headed out to the airport where we would meet Pepper and her fury directed at me (never be said that I wasn't a brave man).

DANNY POV:

In less than twenty minutes, I get to meet my step-uncle (it's that even a thing?) and the Avengers. I'm a bit nervous, but for the most part, I feel fine. After all, they are heroes and I'm a hero, so I should be able to deal with them and how they think. Really, I'm more worried about how I'm going to tell them about all the ghosts, the Portal and me. I was going to imagine how that conversation could go for the million time when I heard the pilot's microphone came on and I froze thinking that there would be a repeat of last time. But then a quite normal (and human, without echo) voice of a pilot starts to announce what could be seen if one looked out the window.

- Ladies, gentlemen, and haflings, if you look to the left you will get your first look at New York! – seeing as I was to the right side of the plane I couldn't see much of it – Now, if you look to your right you will see a most embarrassing sight, at least for you! –

I pretty much ignored the mocking laughter, but he was right. Even after spending a week with Vlad and us acting as a psychologist for each other (there were tears and things we SWORE we would never tell or admit to EVER happening), I still blush at what I saw. There was a big banner that had "Welcome Daniel!" in big red bold letters, next to that was a big (probably gigantic if I could see it from up here) Teddy bear, some balloons and a lot more people than just the Avengers. At least, now I was sure that I was wanted because I couldn't see any type of press, so he (I really need to decide what to call him) shouldn't be putting up a show for them. Anyways, I could not wait to meet them face to face.

TONY POV:

As soon as we got to the airport, everything that I order for was being set up and right next to them was Pepper in all her calm and cold demeanor that was hiding her red fury splendor. She quickly saw us and walked towards us (more like she marched to me).

- ANTHONY EDWARD STARK, what were you thinking?!?

- Well, I was thinking that just standing here and waiting for him to land was going to be really boring and it reminded me of business too much. So, I thought why not make it big and impressive!

- Then, tell me if the acrobats were absolutely necessary?

- Of course, it was either the acrobats or fireworks and since it's too early...

- Mmm, I believe it should be left at it is. The ship is descending and the objective is to impress Daniel, or it is not? – said Loki with a carefully blank face if slightly confuse

- Loki, do not encourage him!

With that out of the way, we waited for the jet to land and to finally get our first glance of Dan-Dan. Let's just say it was interesting.

DANNY POV

The jet had landed and I had my backpack (that had the thermos and a few gifts from the ghosts) and my satchel with my clothes. Now if I could find my confidence and get out of the jet, it would be great. Knowing that I had no more time to waste, I took a deep breath and started to walk towards the door. As soon as I was out of the plane, everyone looked at me and they seem to be waiting for something; it was for me to touch the ground. When I did, the acrobats came to get me (jumping and dancing all the way) and two of the ones with ribbons kept entangling me with them. Once we were close, they went around the Avengers (except the two THAT WOULDN'T LET ME ALONE) and took a bow. When I looked at the two on either side of me they gave me winks before leaving.

- You've Got to be KIDDING!

Tony and the guy in black (maybe Hawkeye? I hope introductions will soon be made) laughed out loud and the others had smiles, except the redhead (Black Widow) that had a neutral expression.

- Haha, really cute kid! That was quite the big entrance, even better than I thought. – said Tony with a relaxed posture that made me angry (I don't like all this attention!)

- Really? I'm not that kind of guy. I usually enter without a sound and go out with a big Boom! – I said while putting my hands on my hips and puffing my chest, I was in Phantom mode and I was not going to back down

- Are you a party animal? – asked Tony with a smirk (for a second reminding me of the Fruitloop)

- Do I look like one? – I asked with a smirk of my own

- I like you, Dan-Dan! – said Tony and I froze while my expression fell

- Don't call me that! – I angrily whisper and for a second all I could see was him over me, I looked around for a distraction and I noticed that everyone (more or less) was shocked – Is just that...there's someone with that name that I hate... -

- Then, what about Blue-eyes? At least for now... -

- I don't mind! – I said with a bit more happiness than what I felt

- Okay, so what did you think? – asked Tony while waving his arms around

- Well, the acrobats were a bit too much, the banner is good but I prefer Danny instead of Daniel and the gigantic Teddy Bear...uhh, the truth is I was never that fond of them, but I like it! It'll serve for lazing around on something mega soft.

- Good! – he turns to Pepper – So I was right, again! –

Soon enough, the Avengers detected that there were reporters hidden around and Tony grabbed Danny quickly to get him inside of the car. After that, the others entered at a slower pace. Of course, once inside they saw that Danny was upset and about to give them a piece of his mind.

- All I'm gonna say is warn me next time you try to do something like that!

- But of course, Blue eyes! It's simply that I want to keep you out of their radar for as long as I can. – said Tony

- I understand and appreciated it, but I have quite a few important things with me and I need to be careful.

- I keep that in mind since I know for a fact that he will forget! By the way, my name is Virginia Potts, but call me Pepper. – she said while stretching her hand towards Danny's direction

- It's nice to meet you! – said Danny as he shook her hand after he let go, Danny scratched the back of his neck – Could everyone introduced themselves since I don't know all of you? – after a beat of silence, they started from Danny's left after Pepper

- Well, I'm Clint Barton better known as Hawkeye! –

When Danny shook his hand, he knew Clint was testing his strength and Danny was all too happy to respond. The little test only lasted for a few seconds, but Danny could see a bit of respect in the archer's eyes. He also felt someone stare, but ignore it in favor of putting his best smile.

- Agent Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow. –

Then she extended her hand to Danny since she was almost in front of him. This time it wasn't a test of strength, it was all about confidence and personality. Although, Danny was nervous he wasn't going to make a bad impression with any of the Avengers. What little he could tell he passed the test.

- I am Loki of Asgard and I am most please of meeting one of my daughter's favorites! –

While Danny was confused, Loki took his hand and KISSED IT. Danny would never admit to squeaking because of Loki's actions, but the others ignored it and asked for clarification of the situation. Loki's only answer was that the time would come for all of them to know. Of course, Tony didn't like that and looked at Danny, who ignore him because he was glaring at Loki and then looked at Steve.

- And you are? –

- Mmm, I'm Steve Rogers also known as Captain America. – it was a bit awkward for him since it had been a while since the last time anyone had asked

- It nice to meet you! I also hope to get along with all of you! –

After that and five more minutes, they had arrived at Avenger's Tower. In less time that it took to say Shawarma, they were in the main living room and Danny was getting introduced to the last two Avengers. Bruce was a bit wary, but Danny understood why and he would talk with him when they're alone. Then there was Thor...

- Greetings! You're one of my niece's favorites, are you not? –

Danny's first thought was that he was either going to really miss his Dad or not at all. Then he was mad that they kept mentioning his status as favorite of who knows whom because he sure as hell DIDN'T KNOW! Danny was about to ask when his phone started to ring. Part of the music was heard before Danny took the call without looking at the screen since he knew who it was thanks to the ringtone.

"Not half as crazy as me,

you thought that you could teach me.

When I know so much more.

Last time you were going on and on about world domination.

But now, is all about fighting for our own salvation." (done by me)

- Please, tell me that nothing's wrong! – said Danny

- Nothing is wrong, Daniel. I merely wanted to know if you had arrived safely at your uncle's Tower and to let you know that Wulf is looking for you since he has something to give you. I also would like to know why such the bad answer? –

- I'm sorry is just that there're some things that I want to know and it's a bit annoying not knowing. But I did arrive safely. Although for a second I thought that I had to jump out of the plane, again. -

- Oh, believe me, Daniel, he wanted to do so for "old time sake" and it took a lot of extra payment to stop him.

- Nah, I had my own plan if it came to that. Anyways, does Wulf knows where to find me?–

- I do not believe he does, so do quickly find him. –

- Of course, you Fruitloop! Anyway, I'm gonna hang up and we can talk later. After I find him! –

- Very well little badger! Let me know if you need anything.

- Will do! –

As soon as I ended the call I looked directly at Loki and Thor. They didn't react at all, darn!

- Now, you two better explain what's all that about being one of the favorites? –

- Does he not know? – asked Thor while looking at Loki

- Obviously! – said Loki to Thor, unimpressed, and then looked at Danny – What we meant is that you're one of my daughter's favorites. She is Hela the goddess of death.

For a second, you could hear a pin drop and then Tony happened.

- What the hell are you saying, Loki? Especially after everything Danny has gone through! -

- I must say that it has nothing to do with his deceased family, if not with Danny himself! – said Loki

- Oh, really! Then tell me why! – said Tony while looking at Loki and Danny

Danny was freaking out and trying to think. If he told them now then he might be able to start rebuilding the Ghost Portal sooner than planned, but if he lied now then it would be harder to earn their trust later on. The other question would be if he was ready for this. I was about to open my mouth when JARVIS informed us that there was an incoming call from a Director Fury. Tony quickly said to ignore it, but Natasha said to answer it.

- Avengers, there's a situation and...why is Daniel Fenton with all of you? –

- Why that's none of your business! But how do you know him?! – said Tony with a lot of anger in his voice

- Because he canceled a contract with SHIELD that we are hoping will be restored soon enough. – answer Fury, his voice one with distaste

- Well, you better keep waiting because I have no intentions of making any contracts. – said Danny and then sat down on the big sofa

- That will be discussed at a later date... - said Fury, but Danny interrupted with an "I don't think so!" that he ignores – There's an unknown specimen appearing and disappearing seconds after all over New York. Here is the footage that a camera was able to record. –

After he said that a short video appears on the huge TV and my stomach dropped. It was a video of Wulf calling for his friend and I could only think that "Well, that was fast!"

- With the tech of the Fenton's, we could determine that it's a ghost and that it's powerful and dangerous. –

And then they wonder why I terminated their contract! No one knows more about ghost than I do and Wulf wasn't dangerous unless he was provoked. At that moment, Tony looked at me letting me know that the previous conversation wasn't over. Then they all started talking about how to deal with "it". If it wasn't because I needed to go and find him first, I would have corrected them that "it" was a him and that his name was Wulf. I tried to leave quietly, but I knew that Loki had noticed and I had a feeling that he wouldn't tell. In other words, I decided to trust my guts and trust him, so I left them. Once outside of the building I started to walk without a specific direction and simply concentrated on my ghost sense. Even though I knew it would take some time to find him I wasn't expecting it would take half an hour to find and almost lose him. But soon my anger was forgotten and I was happy to see my old friend. Sadly, I had to get down to business.

- So, why were you looking for me? –

- There was a packet for you in Dora's private quarter that had a note saying that it was from an old friend. – said Wulf a bit unsure

- Well, I'm not sure from whom it can be, but let me see it! –

Danny commented and soon after Wulf was moving. He lashed the space to his right and after looking inside for a bit, he pulls out a rectangular box that was pretty normal looking (zero wrapping paper...the nerve of this "old friend"). Before I could open it or say thanks to Wulf, I heard some of the Avengers calling my name and I had to quickly start pushing Wulf through the tear. Thankfully he only looked at me before leaving and then the tear closed. I quickly grabbed the box and ran out of the alley. Luckily I was able to make it look like I was coming out of a shop before Tony saw me and landed on the road and walked towards me.

- What were you thinking!? Leaving like that when there was an unknown in the area! – shouted Tony as soon as he was out of his Ironsuit

Danny was so not impressed and his cargo was more important than any melodramatic scene.

- Why didn't you shout louder? Besides, I know what I'm doing! Now, I'm going back to the tower, so see ya! – said Danny and then started to speed walk while everyone else started to panic.

The rest of the Avengers glared at Tony but soon went to calm the public while keeping an eye out for the unknown. Tony thought that it was a good time to get Danny alone. But he was surprised when J.A.R.V.I.S. inform him that Danny was already at the tower. It took Tony three minutes to get there and only two more to find Danny.

In turn, Danny had used his powers to get back sooner than needed. Now, he was waiting in his room since he knew that Tony would follow and that it was the perfect time to come clean. Danny was thinking about how to start the conversation when Tony opened the door.

- I was expecting you... –
