Chp. 3
Your POV
You ran from the group. They didn't run after you and that scared you. What were they gonna do? They saw your powers....well not all of it but part of it. Your parents were gonna kill you! They didn't want anyone to know about your powers because no one could know about their family. That made you wonder who they were trying to protect, You? Or them?
Glancing backward you slowed slightly trying to think. You had school tomorrow but your parents wouldn't make you go. You should probably go but there was the risk that those kids went there. If you didn't go to school you would have to deal with your parents fighting all day so school it was.
You turned onto your street and glanced at the similar but colorful houses. The sun was setting and you still had to pack your bags for tomorrow. Time was annoying. When you opened your front door the aroma of your mother's cooking filled your nose. It wasn't a bad smell just not a good one either.
"Oh, honey! Your home! Did you make friends? How are you? You look tired. How about you eat and then go to bed?" Her voice was rushed and fake with a smile to match it. Rolling your eyes you sit at the table and patiently wait for your mother to leave. It doesn't take that long.
Ignoring the food on your plate you head to the kitchen to grab a drink and head upstairs. You had stopped eating your parents cooking when you heard them arguing about the drugs they put into it. Now you bought food from the store and drunk the canned drinks they bought.Of course, you didn't drink it if the seal had been broken and you always wiped the can down. Yeah, you were paranoid. It's not really your fault though and you could usually pass it off as being overly cautious.
After moving the food around your plate to make it look like you ate the food, you headed upstairs to your room. There you pulled out your backpack and packed everything you might need for school. You grabbed some pencils and pens and a couple notebooks before calling it a day. Staring at the ceiling you sighed and silently prayed nothing bad would happen. You had no idea what was about to go down.

The morning birds chirped happily making you want to kill them more. It was too early to have your alarm clock singing its death song. When you rolled over the alarm clock read 7:30 which was half an hour after you were supposed to wake up. Whoops.
Rolling out of bed you chose jeans, a purple shirt, and your plain black hoodie. It wasn't the nicest outfit but it was comfortable and that's all that mattered to you. Grabbing your bookbag and a good book you headed downstairs. Where fighting bombarded your ears. Sighing you tried to ignore it.
"I found crumbs!! Don't lie to me! I am your wife!" Your mother was probably whining about the brownies your dad ate. You honestly wouldn't be surprised if they were drugged too.
"I'm not lying! I did not eat anything in our bed last night!" Your father wasn't the best at retorts or anything in general. You mother finally noticed you were standing there and immediately plastered that fake smile on her face. It made you want to hurl.
"Honey! You're awake early! Did you decide to go to school today?" She asked in an overly sweet voice.
"School? Is that what he is going to do? Do you know how dangerous that is?" Your father had already on the edge of an eruption the topic of school didn't help. He hated the idea of you going to school and tried his hardest to make you not want to go either.
"Yes. He can go where he wants! He is a full grown boy!" As another fight started you went to the fridge and picked out some snacks before heading outside.
Your lunch was an apple, carrots, chips, and soda. It wasn't the healthiest but it was enough. You had never had very much for lunch. Well, you haven't really eaten something decent in a couple years so you were used to it.
Walking to school you pasted a bus stop with a bunch of kids at it. They looked like they were fighting and since you didn't really want to get in the middle of it you crossed the street. You walked past them silently and ignored the yelling like you did every day with your parents. All the while you felt the unwavering stare of someone that made your hair stand on end. Glancing back you saw the boy in the bright orange parka that had caught your attention. You stared back at him and you both exchanged stares until a bright orange bus came by and picked them up.
Bus? Shit! You were gonna be late! As the bus started pulling out of the stop you saw the orange parka boy look at you through the window. After the bus pulled away you strapped you backpack securely to your back summoned some magic and ran towards the school.
The world seemed to blur around you as you speed towards the school. Dodging cars and people you saw the school in the distance quickly closing the distance you kept running. Skidding to a stop a good distance from the school you took a deep breath and forced your feet to move. As you walked towards the school you saw the same orange bus pull into the parking lot. You watched the kids file off the bus and sighed. Today was gonna be interesting alright.
Your schedule didn't really change. You had one teacher for the main four classes and then lunch then gym and the school day was over. The only interesting thing about the school day was the people in it. The actual school day is boring as fuck for you.
You sighed and entered the building following the sea of kids into the hallway and down to your class.
Here's to a new school. You just hoped this one worked out.
It might be a bit short and a bit late but here ya go! It took a while cause im working on a new story....or maybe three. *shrugs* From the depths of hell! ~ TDC
