Today one girl was out sick, another boy left sick, and two just left early.

That left four with me. We couldn't have playground time so I dragged the big, soft climbing structure to the center of the room and we played a little rougher than normal, rolled balls, chased each other and so on and so forth.

These are all typical things but I was having a really fun time, and I kind of wondered why the afternoon seemed so fun and relaxed, and then I realized all the ones prone to epic screaming meltdowns were gone.

Sorry kids but you weren't missed this afternoon.
